First Day Covers collection filling two albums. A nice array of material spanning 1938-1967, this accumulation of 160 covers includes better issues such as "Geysers", 1938 University issue, Sturluson, Sigurdsson, scenery issues, Europa, President’s residence and higher value bird issues. Includes a mix of cacheted and uncacheted covers, with the cachet covers often featuring an attractive illustration that ties into the stamp featured. The first volume is a "counter" cover album, with very clean covers, although a couple could use a good pressing. The second is a 3-ring binder, with covers hinge-mounted (very peelable hinges) to black or quadrilled pages. Between the two books, there is a bit of duplication, but very often these are because of different cachets. The two albums are accompanied by some commercial / tourist correspondence, some non-First Day "maximum" cards, four early stationery air letters (3 mint, 1 FDC) and a few random FDCs from Denmark and Norway which are not counted in the value. Unpriced by Scott, so done by the specialized Facit catalogue. 2015 Facit SEK12,435.00 =
