Winnipeg, Manitoba ORB cancels, Part 2. AR (Avis de Reception / Acknowledgement of Receipt) Post Office cards from the 1930's / 1940's. An astonishing hoard of 193 "AR" cards, from the GeoV / GeoVI era, each being dispatched from Winnipeg, Manitoba and receiving the Winnipeg "ORB" style CDS cancel. We note many of these were headed for smaller towns across Western Canada with receiving postmarks. These were accumulated by a collector to study the use of the Winnipeg ORB cancel, but they would prove to be an excellent study of the Post Office printings of the AR card as well. Estimate =
