Worldwide Collection

Volume 10 Russia / Soviet Union + Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. Beautifully mounted collection stretching from 19th century Czarist issues up to the mid-1980’s, with good coverage throughout and strength in the classic period and with lots of better 1930’s issues. Includes mint and used, perforated and imperforate, with printing variants (papers, perforations) and overprints. The owner has identified a number of items that need extra research. From 1935 onwards, better used includes the anti-war, Moscow subway, Spartacist games, and Persian Art issues. Coverage through the war period forward is decent, supplemented with the occasional souvenir sheet or cover. Some early semi-postals are here, as is a respectable offering of 1930’s air mail issues. Approximately 4100 stamps, with individual catalogue values up to $50.00 each. All of this quality Russia is rounded out a few Baltic countries which are represented with an additional couple hundred stamps. All housed in a Scott "International" album which is in decent condition. Estimate =
