Volume 12 Czechoslovakia and East Germany. Two blocks of collections from the Eastern Block. The Czech issues start in 1918 and has a very complete run up to the early 1970’s (and a bit inconsistent after that), including back of the book, with a few nice covers that increase the appeal of this collection (such as the Praga 1955 Exhibition souvenir sheet on registered cover), and finishing with some Bohemia and Moravia. The DDR stamps section starts out a little slow, but that is compensated for by nine lovely covers and first day covers, with some better issues. Noted the Karl Marx perforated souvenir sheet, some multiples of the official issues and the odd better item that peeks out from time to time. In mounted in aa cloth-tape reinforced Scott International album. Estimate =
