Great Britain Penny Red mourning covers. Intriguing selection of 36 black-bordered mourning covers, used between 1846-1877. Besides having a wide representation of sizes and styles of envelopes, there is good postal history value here, with lots of interesting cancels and routing marks. Stanley Gibbons prices for individual covers up to £40.00. The items are individually sleeved and a few have the original contents. We did note that many of the covers with #33 have the plate number in pencil. Overall condition is better than average but expect some minor faults. Estimate =
