Lunar New Years 1998 "Year of the Tiger" specialized First Day Cover offering. Group of 100 matching FDC, each cancelled on the day of issue with 45c regular issue attached (official Toronto postmark), then each cover had the matching souvenir sheet attached and postmarked a the special Lunar New Years function in Victoria BC, which was furnished with a Post Office Lunar New Year illustrated cancel for the event (20 days after the first day). Very interesting (and labour intensive) undertaking to create these items by an enthusiastic collector. While the basic FDC for the stamp catalogues $1.50 ($2.40 for the souvenir sheet FDC), the used stamps alone here have a Unitrade value of $230.00.
