Albania #345-378, 384-390. Attractive mint Hinged run of 1945-1945 Independent State and People’s Republic issues, all in complete sets neatly laid out on a stocksheet. 2023 Scott US$160.20 = $216.25 $0.00
Albania and Bosnia & Herzegovina - Adriatic accumulation, the balance of a random group of purchases, including mounted collections, auction and bidboard lots plus some loose material. A mix of mint and used issues with sets, some souvenir sheets, overprints with some cancel potential. Some better material was seen in a quick pass. Disorganized and with a bit of duplication. Hidden gems may lurk throughout this lot! Estimate = $180.00 $10.00
Argentina #22/1475 plus Back of the Book. The Minkus album might say "Argentina and Uruguay" on the cover, but this is an Argentine-only collection covering 1867 to 1984 (and pages a few years later). Over a thousand stamps, more used than mint, with better such as the 1952 Eva Peron set and the 1966 sheetlet #797. The classic issues include items which catalogue up to the $200.00 each range, but are hole punched. Still, this is a fine offering of material, with lots of back of the book material, especially airmail and official overprints. The owner has little pockets of material that he never got around to mounting which are in glassine envelopes and there is a collection remnant on Scott International pages and two small stockbooks with duplicates (includes some non-Argentine material) to help round this collection out. Estimate = $200.00 $10.00
Argentina #C1-C19. Complete mint Hinged (Lightly) set of all 19-values of the 1928 airmail series. One of the most iconic early airmail sets of the time with views of "Airplane Circles the Globe", "Eagle", "Wings Cross the Sea" and "Condor on Mountain Crag". Worthy of any collection. 2023 Scott US$195.50 = $263.95 $10.00
Ascension #61/691. VF mint Never Hinged offering of 478 different stamps from the 1953-1997 period, neatly laid out on stockpages and almost all being complete sets. A premium offering of material, with many better sets and loads of topical interest throughout. 2024 Scott US$787.75 = $1,063.45 $34.00
Australia #103/425, C1-3, C5-8 and AAT. Neatly mounted collection of 349 mint and used stamps on Stanley Gibbons "Senator" pages from the 1929-2001 period, including "back of the book" airmail and Australian Antarctic Territory issues. Of particular note are nicely postmarked earlier issues, including a 1932 "Pinnaroo S.A." cancelled George V "Head" used block of four. 2024 Scott US$1047.05 = $1,413.50 $10.00
Australia - Collection of Mint and Used Australia in 5 Volumes, 1913-2010, containing many hundreds of stamps, on hundreds of printed Steiner pages in handsome leatherette bound binders (4 of the 5 volumes). The collection contains primarily used singles, sets and partial sets up to the 1970s, with a mixture of mint and used material thereafter. The strength of the lot ranges from 1913 to the 1990s, noting 26 different Kangaroo stamps, including Scott #s 54 5sh (used, c.v. $100), 100 5sh (used, $100), a small representation of KGV Heads and singles, sets, and partial sets throughout. Pages after 2000 are generally sparse, but note mint a few mint never hinged sets, souvenir sheets and sheetlets within. Some finds to be found, as we note a few stamps, sets, and partial sets cataloguing $10.00 to $30.00 and up. A nice collection to build upon, from this popular collecting area. Estimate = $400.00 $10.00
Australian States - Queensland / South Australia Specialized Queen Victoria Study. An old-time Stanley Gibbons "Devon" 2-post album containing over 2000 used QV stamps, being a specialized collection of the perfs, shades, plates, postmarks, watermarks and printing variations of the QV definitves / stamp duty issues. Hard to summarize this astonishing collection with just a handful of photos, but we have taken a representative sample of the pages, but keep in mind there are over 2000 QV issues in here. A "once in a lifetime" opportunity to acquire a collection as well-studied and researched as this. Estimate = $750.00 $160.00
Bahamas #97/796. VF mint Never Hinged offering of 394 different stamps from the 1937-1994 period, almost all in complete sets, neatly laid-out on stockpages. A premium offering of Never Hinged material that would make an excellent starting point for this country, or make for some premium stock for a dealer. 2024 Scott US$748.10 = $1,010.00 $19.00
Bahrain #2-14. Choice F/VF mint Hinged / Hinge remnant run of the ½ anna to 5 rupee George V India issue overprinted for use in Bahrain. Only missing (trivially) the 3p low value (catalogue $4.50) to make the complete first set. A very attractive issue from this popular Persian Gulf archipelago. 2024 Scott US$488.00 = $658.80 $40.00
Barbados #190/948. VF mint Never Hinged selection of 225 different stamps from the 1937-1997 period, almost all in complete sets, neatly laid-out on stockpages. An attractive premium selection of Never Hinged material. 2024 Scott US$375.55 = $507.00 $10.00
Belgium #1/81 plus Back of the Book. Four stockpages of Belgian classics, from the first issue into the early 20th century. Most are individually identified and catalogued. Almost all are used, and many have been obviously selected for having attractive cancels. The Back of the Book includes some postage dues, Railway/Parcel stamps, and 10 telegraph/telephone stamps. Except for the better #5, which is faulty and not counted, expect the usual minor faults for stamps of this era, which do not detract from this very attractive lot. Estimate = $150.00 $22.00
Belgium - Early Belgium used bliss of about 200 stamps on four black stockpages, starting with a near-full page of King Leopold I issues in all three denominations. These have been selected for their socked-on-the-nose numeral cancels, most of which are very easily readable, and we expect the stamps will have enormous catalogue value, but with some condition issues. The balance of the collection stretches into the early 1900’s with each stamp individually selected for its readable cancel. We can’t overemphasize how stunning this lot is. Estimate = $300.00 $11.00
Belgium and Belgium Congo - An interesting consignment balance starting with a dozen and a half different cancelled souvenir cards with complete sets of semi-officials issued 1938-1944. The Antarctic semi-postal set is found in complete panes and a single souvenir sheet, followed by a seemingly random assortment of dealer pages with souvenir sheets or singles, ending with modern mint and cancelled to order (?) from the 21st century in original glassines. Belgian Congo includes a couple of mint souvenir sheets and the rest is mostly used on stamp or piece. Of note, is the cancel / postmark potential here. Estimate = $150.00 $10.00
Bermuda #115/700. VF mint Never Hinged selection of 434 different stamps from the 1937-1995 period, almost all in complete sets, neatly laid-out on stockpages. A wonderful offering of premium Never Hinged material, from the collection of a meticulous collector. A perfect basis for a collection, or premium stock for a dealer. 2024 Scott US$771.55 = $1,041.60 $16.00
Bolivia #C11, C12, C14, C15, C18. VF mint Lightly Hinged group of the 1930 Graf Zeppelin airmail issues, including the key 1b red brown and black (gold overprint). Visually appealing, all with experization mark on reverse. 2023 Scott US$430.00 = $580.50 $10.00
Bosnia #30d/45f. Over two dozen mint and used "Compound perforation" varieties of the Scenery and Franz Josef issue of 1906. At some point in the printing process, individual line perforators were swapped out, and replaced with a perforator of a different gauge. This applied to both horizontal and vertical perforations, leading to stamps with 2, 3 or 4 different perforations on different sides. These variations are listed in Michel and Scott Classic, and completion is very difficult, especially if you are looking to build all the different perf configurations. This page includes better such as #44d, 44f, 45d, 45e, 45f. A couple of the stamps have owner’s marks on the back. One 5kr Franz Josef is thinned and not counted, otherwise the condition is excellent (expecting a couple of shorter perfs from the stamps with perf 6-1/2. Total 2021 Scott Classic US$1307.75 = $1,765.46 $10.00
Bosnia and Herzegovina #30-45, 46-61. Duo of complete used sets, included the 1906 imperforate pictorial issue of 16 stamps, plus the perforated 1910 "Birthday Jubilee Issue" of Emperor Franz Josef (similar design to the first set, but with "1830-1910" at bottom. We note there is quite the difference in catalogue value Scott vs. Michel catalogue on this one (especially for the imperforates), so plenty of upside if you use a Michel (but we have valued by Scott as usual). 2023 Scott US$197.85 = $267.10 $22.00
British Antarctic Territory #16/252. VF mint Never Hinged selection of 209 different stamps from the 1966-1997 period, almost all in complete sets, neatly laid-out on stockpages. A very clean offering and perfect starting point for a collector, or premium stock for a dealer. 2024 Scott US$688.95 = $931.10 $26.00
British Commonwealth - A mostly Pacific Islands selection of mostly mint, neatly arranged on pages within a springback album. There are 12 countries represented here, which include Ascension, Falkland Islands, Gilbert & Ellice Islands, Maldives, New Hebrides, Niue, Solomon Islands, Seychelles, Tokelau, Western Samoa, Tonga and Tristan da Cunha. See the owner's inventory list for a breakdown of total stamps and catalogue value for each country. Very clean material, including many complete sets. Better includes Aden (and states), Antigua, Basutoland, Bechuanaland, British Guiana, British Honduras, Burma (officials), Ceylon plus a few others. An attempt was made to start cataloguing this material about a decade ago. The material is fresh, well centered. Expect the mint to be hinged, but with almost no duplication. Estimate = $150.00 $11.00
British Commonwealth - An "all Rhodesia" selection of mint and used neatly hinged on pages within a springback album (some of the later are Never Hinged in black mounts). This grouping represents Northern Rhodesia, Rhodesia, Rhodesia & Nyasaland and Southern Rhodesia. See the owner's inventory list for a breakdown of total stamps and catalogue value for each section. Very clean material, including many complete sets. A grand total of 770 stamps. 2024 Scott US$1285.65 = $1,735.60 $11.00
British Commonwealth - Antigua / Bermuda selection of mint and used neatly hinged on pages. Antigua holds its own well here, but the real strength is in the Bermuda, with many better George VI stamps from the 1938-1951 period. See the owner's inventory list for a breakdown of total stamps and catalogue value for each country. Very clean material, including many complete sets. A grand total of 244 stamps. 2024 Scott US$1012.00 = $1,366.20 $22.00
British Commonwealth - Attractive red "King George VI, Stamp Album" with gold-lettering, produced by Stanley Gibbons for George VI era British Commonwealth stamps only. A wonderfully focused area of collecting, with many of the sets issued of the period being well-obtainable for reasonably low prices. Contains a few hundred mint and used stamps, with strength in Canada / GB, just waiting to be put into use and filled up! This sought-after album is if good shape, with minor wear and tear and a "white-out" covered previous owner's name inside the front cover. Lots of life in this alum and lots of fun to fill it up! Estimate = $150.00 $11.00
British Commonwealth - Australia / New Zealand collector's accumulation of mostly different issues from "classics" up to about 2020, as acquired by the collector over many years. All packed into 23 stockpages (many double sided) within a small binder. A good range of material throughout, including some Australian States and even a few covers at the back. Estimate = $120.00 $38.00
British Commonwealth - Blue 16-page Unisafe stockbook, about half-filled with a wonderful ride of mostly classic British Commonwealth "odds and ends". While there does not appear to be full sets here, there is a wealth of partial sets and better than average singles through out. Some the notable items are from Hong Kong (QV, Edward, GeoV mint), British Africa (lots of different countries), Canada (1930’s / 1940’s), 1935 Silver Jubilee issues and GB Offices abroad (QEII). Both mint and used represented, expect most of the mint the Hinged and the odd fault here and there, but overall a very clean offering. Estimate = $200.00 $42.00
British Commonwealth - British Africa selection of mint and used neatly hinged on pages within a springback album. There are 23 countries represented here, which include Basutoland, Bechuanaland, Cape of Good Hope, Gambia, Gold Coast, Ghana, Kenya, KUT, Natal, Nigeria, Nyasaland, Orange River Colony, Somaliland Protectorate, Southwest Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanganyika, Transvaal, Uganda, Union of South Africa, Zambia, Zanzibar and Zululand. See the owner's inventory list for a breakdown of total stamps and catalogue value for each country. Very clean material, including many complete sets and with many better “turn of the century” used issues with postmark interest. A grand total of 1234 stamps. 2024 Scott US$1673.50 = $2,259.20 $22.00
British Commonwealth - British Africa, east Africa including Kenya, Uganda, Tanganyika (with British East Africa and East Africa and Uganda), Bechuanaland (with British Central Africa and British East Africa), Somaliland and Swaziland. About 285 stamps,on six pages, from 1890 - 1971, including used and Mint hinged ( some both). A well represented group with many very collectible stamps. A few comments on two stamps, in particular. The first is K. U. T. #29, the second of two shown, has a central vignette of George V printed in a blue-grey colour whereas the normal stamp is all green, as seen in the first one. The consignor has not found any reference to such an anomaly but comments that it is not too surprising to find such as so many stamps of the design were being similarly produced for a wide range of face values, at the time. He speculates that a printer either got inventive or simply lost his way as he was going about his duties. If only one, or a few such pages were produced this stamp could be a unique item. It requires more research but is valued at the nominal $3.00. The second, of course, is Swazieland (sic) #1a, the inverse overprint on Transvaal #123. The stamp is a VF mint hinged perf. 12-1/2. It is noted that Gibbons shows a considerable premium value for this perf., over the more common 12-1/2 x 12. The consignor states that the appearance of the overprint exactly shows as the reproduction of the stamp in Scott and, as best can be determined, from the illustration in Gibbons. More research would be required to absolutely determine that this is genuine and not counterfeit but, with the evidence at hand, the stamp is valued at Scott $1,250.00, but sold with the caveat the more research is needed. With these comments in mind the total lot is valued at 2023 Scott US$2,027.25 = $2,736.00 $22.00
British Commonwealth - British African miscellaneous, ranging from a well-organized binder of mostly Elizabethan-era Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania (whether together or apart) with many sets and souvenir sheets - lots of topical appeal here. There is a hodgepodge of Sierra Leone, with some very old stock pages holding a mix of mostly KGVI-QEII, but there is a page with the infamous "Face on Mars" souvenir sheets. Noted some Sudan and South Africa, including some mint multiples (may be a few non-African items here). An afternoon’s worth of sorting here will pay rewards for the collector or on-line seller. Estimate = $160.00 $10.00
British Commonwealth - British Asia selection (mostly) of mint and used neatly hinged on pages within a springback album. There are 13 countries represented here, which include Bahawalpur, Bahrain, Burma, Brunei, Ceylon, India, Jaipur, Iraq, Malaysia, Mauritius, Pakistan, North Borneo and Umm Al Qiwain. See the owner's inventory list for a breakdown of total stamps and catalogue value for each country. 32 British Commonwealth - British Pacific and Asia: A very interesting consignment balance. Strongest is probably the New Zealand with a number of multiples overprinted "Official" on the 1940 Centennial issue, a complete roll of the 1c QEII coil (with starting and finishing tabs) and there are four examples of the first Special Delivery stamp inexplicably cancelled "Hobart Tasmania". There is some nice Samoa, and the Papua and Fiji have some potential. Moving eastward, there is a bit of India, Burma and the Sabah overprint on the 1964 Elizabethan issue. There is even a bit of Hong Kong, plus more not detailed here. Good value throughout. Estimate = $160.00 $10.00
British Commonwealth - British Pacific Islands, the balance of a consignment. Mostly album and dealer stock pages. Noted some better Tonga, Papua New Guinea (and a bit of Papua), Gilbert and Ellice Islands, Solomon Islands and Samoa. To a lesser impact, there is some Vanuatu, Tuvalu plus Pitcairn, Cocos (Keeling), Christmas and Norfolk Islands. More mint than used. Some identified and catalogued, others "free range". While we noted issues up to 2010, most is pre-1975. Estimate = $180.00 $11.00
British Commonwealth - Caribbean colonies selection of mint and used neatly hinged on pages. There are 8 countries represented here, which include Barbados, British Guiana, Guyana, British Honduras, Dominica, Grenada, Leedward Islands and Montserrat. See the owner's inventory list for a breakdown of total stamps and catalogue value for each country. Very clean material, including many complete sets and a clear strength in the Barbados section. A grand total of 582 stamps. 2024 Scott US$1121.15 = $1,513.55 $12.00
British Commonwealth - Central African colonies from "classics" to modern issues. A bit of a random assortment, but with better throughout, such as some nice Edwardian to KGVI Nyasaland (including "Keyplates" up to £1). There is some earlier British Central Africa, Nigeria, Northern Rhodesia (with KGVI to 20/-, a mix of Gold Coast, including used "Earlies" (a striking used QV 10/- has a SON cancel). The Swaziland includes #54-66 mint and the lot concludes with 1970's to 1980's mint and CTO Zimbabwe. Substantial value here. Estimate = $180.00 $13.00
British Commonwealth - Collector's "A to Z" QEII First Day Covers collection of British Commonwealth issues with many set frankings throughout. A mix of cachet, non-cacheted covers, all mounted and neatly arranged alphabetically within 6 binders. There is also a group of Irish FDC that snuck in here, which held a soft-spot in the previous collectors heart. The catalogue value of the stamps alone would add up quickly! Take a look a the pictures to appreciate the scope of the offering and the quality of the material (although not all items can be shown). Estimate = $250.00 $10.00
British Commonwealth - First Day Cover / Cover Potpourri. A small box stuffed with a collector's accumulation of 381 likely all-different FDC primarily from the British Commonwealth "Islands" (but with some "strays" as well). Looks to span the 1960's to 1990's and includes material from Aitutaki, Cocos Islands, Christmas Island, Cook Islands, Falkland Islands (and Dependencies), Fiji, GB, Jamaica, Nauru, Niue, Norfolk Islands, Pitcairn Islands, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts, South Georgia and Tokelau Islands. A grand total of 381 covers, which the previous owner has added up the catalogue value of the stamp alone (with nothing added for the FDC). Total Scott Catalogue value of the stamps alone comes out to US$1697.35 = $2291.40. A great opportunity to acquire some lovely sets and singes on covers. Estimate = $200.00 $10.00
British Commonwealth - George VI Silver Wedding Sets. Very Fine mint Never Hinged selection of 24 different 1948 issue GeoVI Silver Wedding sets of two, all laid out on two Hagner stocksheets. The range of sets, while far from the complete omnibus series, includes a healthy representation of this classic and popular Royal Family thematic, including several of the better sets. 2024 Scott US$871.90 = $1,177.05 $40.00
British Commonwealth - Southern Africa group on dealer cards and album pages. Noted Natal #9, four Cape Triangles, a page of mostly used Transvaal, another page of Orange River Colony and a couple of pages of mounted Cape of Good Hope. There is a nice page (each) of mint British Bechuanaland, Bechuanaland Protectorate and Basutoland. Much of this material has been individually identified and catalogued within the past five years. 40 British Commonwealth - Trio of premium Lighthouse or Unisafe brand 32-page stockbooks, each about half-filled with an assortment of material from George VI to QEII from across the Commonwealth. A real mix of material here, but lots of useful "odds and ends" throughout. We noted better showings of omnibus issues (1937 Coronation / 1948 Royal Wedding), Malaya States, Hong Kong, India, Ceylon etc. The photos show a representative sample of some of the more populated pages. From a local estate, offered as received. Estimate = $250.00 $32.00
British Commonwealth / Korea - Commonwealth Stock and Korea in Seven Volumes. Large holding of all kinds of Commonwealth issues, consisting of (in no particular order): Green stock book of modern mint South Africa (owner's catalogue of $350.00+); stock of many hundreds of duplicated and varied mint and used stamps from eleven different countries/colonies, Bahamas through Uganda, all on stock pages in a green 3-ring binder; collections/stocks of South Africa/New Zealand/Australian States/India/Trinidad & Tobago on mixed pages in a blue 3-ring binder; mixed "All Rhodesias" collection/stock on album and stock pages (owner's valuation over $700.00); Jamaica/Rhodesia/Southern Rhodesia duplicated stocks and sundry in black 3-ring binder; Collections of (mostly) Jamaica and Cayman Islands in a white 3-ring binder (owner's valuation over $600.00); and finally, Korea 1946-1949 mint "one of each" collection in primitive album (owner's value $622.00). This lot represents an excellent property for the philatelic "prospector". Estimate = $500.00 $10.00
British Honduras #28-32, 33-37, 47, B1-B5. Attractive used selection of 11 different Queen Victoria issues (including overprints) followed by the 1932 semi-postal set (the only semi postal set issued by British Honduras, to aid in Hurricane relief). A scarce set of used blocks in any condition! 2023 Scott US$450.00 = $607.50 $11.00
British Indian Ocean Territory - VF mint Never Hinged offering of 96 different stamps from the 1968-1996 period, almost all in complete sets, neatly laid out on stockpages. A very clean offering including the many interesting topicals from the period. A sought-after grouping. 2024 Scott US$387.95 = $523.75 $10.00
Burma #2N30/2N64. Japanese occupation issues and overprints, a spectacular, mostly used accumulation of 1943-1944 issues in a 16-page stockbook. What first stands out is the number of nicely cancelled multiples (some have to be cancelled to order) with a block of 40 of 2N41 (catalogues $720.00). Unchecked for plate printings, papers, shades, etc. Significant catalogue value here. Estimate = $250.00 $12.00

Starting with a 3-margin example of #4 (imperforate Beaver), followed by a good looking (but forged / re-backed) #8, into "Cents", "Large Queens", "Small Queens", "Edwards" and onwards, almost all pre-WWII with the exception of #2201 VF mint Never Hinged Lunar New Years "missing gold" year of the Pig. The earlier material is in mixed condition, with several small faults / regummed noted, but then moves into much cleaner material by the 1930's. A total of 109 stamps. Estimate = $200.00 $26.00
Canada #21. Mint Hinged example of the 1868 issue ½c black Large Queen, perf 12 x 12. A great start to a set of mint Large Queens! 2024 Scott Classic US$250.00 = $337.50 $10.00
Canada #34 Cover. Choice single-franking example of the 1/2c black Small Queen on local circular rate cover, posted locally from Saint John NB on November 3rd 1897. A wonderful example of the single use of the 1/2c stamp, being a scarce dated example (as almost all these circular rates are undated, as Post Office regulations only required them to be cancelled only with a grid). An attractive addition to any postal history collection, or “plus-value” add-on to a traditional stamp collection. 2024 Unitrade = $250.00 $42.00
Canada #34, 35, 36, 41. Mint Small Queen Quartet. A group of four different QV Small Queens, including Never Hinged examples of the ½ c black, 1c yellow and 3c bright vermillion, plus an Original Gum Hinged / Hinge Remnant example of the 2c green. 52 Canada #50-59. F/VF mint Hinged / Hinge Remnant examples of the 1/2c to 20c QV 1897 Jubilee issue, with a few extra examples of the 1c and 2c values. A great start to a mint set of this popular issue. 2024 Scott US$1582.50 = $2,136.40 $0.00
Canada #61. VF centered used example of the 1897 issue $1.00 lake Queen Victoria Jubilee, with "Montreal QUE / 9" roller cancel. A very respectable used example of this elusive stamp. 2024 Scott US$700.00 = $945.00 $11.00
Canada #62. Very Fine centered used example of the $2.00 dark purple 1897 issue Queen Victoria Jubilee. Usual smudge cancel, still a nice sound high value Jubilee! 2024 Scott US$550.00 = $742.50 $10.00

While there are some duplicates, there are also common designs ordered with all four values, as in the case of the "Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe" design which comes in "P", $1.30, $1.94 and $2.71. 135 Canada - Annual Collections for 1974 & 1975. The two scarcest Canada Post Annual Collections, from the years 1974 and 1975. Very nice quality duo of the key early 8½ x 11 Post Office Yearbooks. Both complete with MNH stamps in collector added mounts. The 1974 year set is the "unpunched" version, while the 1975 is the "punched" version, having received the 3-hole punch (as listed in the catalogue). The balance of a consignment, as received. Estimate = $150.00 $34.00
Canada - Box containing used from King George VI to around 1990, with mounted wholesale collections, used sorted in envelopes as well as stock pages with used blocks back to the Admiral period and used singles going back to the Victorian era. Some of this is the balance of an old time holding, but there is a bit of modern, including three nice stockbooks. Thousands of stamps here and hours of exploration are ahead. Estimate = $150.00 $34.00
Canada - Coil hoard! Going back to the Admiral era through the Caricatures, with many worthwhile stops along the way. More mint than used, with some laid out nicely on pages or stockcards. Others a bit more free range. Noted lots of pairs, some strips, a few precancels, a couple of "repairs" on the 4c Centennial and even a couple of partial rolls (2c and 3c QEII Karsh issue) plus a full 8c Centennial roll. Just a big, unorganized, jumble, as received. Lots of catalogue value here and some other finds could still be hiding. Estimate = $160.00 $26.00
Canada - Estate Bankers Box of "all sorts". An interesting array of material that at first glance seems like an accumulation, but it is more like a collection (with extras) once you start digging through it. Starting with a container of "Canada Used" which is a well-organized group of Canadian singles from the 1859 "Cents" to about the year 2000 (in stockcards, in order) plus a few packages "to soak". Next is a 16-page stockbook of used from the late QV period up to 2000 (no show-stoppers, but a well organized group). Last, there is container of "Canada Used and Mint" from 1935 onwards including "back of the book", plus a bundle of mint souvenir sheets / plate blocks (again, well organized, and including 3x mint $10.00 Whales). The total face value alone adds up to over $225.00, but there is lots of value beyond that. Estimate = $300.00 $34.00
Canada - Four mint-sheet files filled with large blocks and complete panes of mostly 4c-6c era issues. The best includes complete sheets of the 1970 5c and 6c Christmas regular issue (the sheet was folded off centre, so the centre blocks do not have the usual folding. Unfortunately, some of the other panes have moisture issues, especially the KGVI issues including a pane of 17c CE3 which is stuck in half to itself. We have tried to not count any of the sheets that are stuck, leaving in the total count of usable face value / postage. Total face value = $288.50 $22.00
Canada - Full Sheets / Partial Sheets and Panes. A mint Never Hinged medley of material from the 1940's to the 1970's, mostly in full sheets, but with some partial sheets included (and even a few NFLD partial sheets). Lightly duplicated (up to 2 of each) and arranged within a couple sheet folders and loose. Highlights include a pane of 100x 6c orange Centennial, 3c and 6c QEII Wilding (some perf separation) and the 2c, 3c (x2) and 5c QEII Karsh. 146 Canada - Mint "Block Stamp Album" with matching slipcase containing mint Never Hinged Plate Blocks from (primarily) the mid-1970's to 1988. A few "outsiders" reside here, including blocks of the 1939 Royal Visit and two Never Hinged plate blocks of the $1.00 Export issue (#411, catalogue $90.00 each). Very conservatively valued for the usable postage / face value only. Total face value = $476.72 $160.00
Canada - Mint "Hockey Night in Canada" Holding. A collector's slightly duplicated holding of 36x high value $1.80 / $2.50 self-adhesive "Hockey Card" series, with each stamp designed to look like a hockey card, with information about the player on the reverse. A novel idea by Canada Post and one of the most popular issues of the 21st century, with interest that goes beyond the usual "stamp collector" to include sports card collectors and hockey enthusiasts! The face value alone is $77.80. Estimate = $120.00 $38.00
Canada - Mint accumulation from Queen Victoria up to about 1975, on a couple dozen dealer display cards, several stockpages and a group of glassines and "102" cards. A wide range of material including low denomination Jubilees (noted a 1/2c), an assortment of Admirals, some decent King George V and VI material (including coils, Chateau and Destroyer dollars). The Elizabethan material is often Bileski-type varieties (some with his original notes and prices), plus all kinds of other material. A wide range of condition (centering, and backs which include never hinged down to heavily disturbed gum and heavy hinging), value (cataloguing up to $100.00), with some duplication. The balance of a dealer’s holding that never got organized. Substantial value here. Estimate = $300.00 $12.00
Canada - Mint Postage Medley / Collection. A neatly arranged selection of mint and used from the mid 1980's to 1999 arranged by issue within a Unisafe brand 32-page stockbook. 150 Canada - Modern Miniature Panes. SEALED PACKS. Group of 17 different Post Office issued sealed miniature pane packages. These sealed packs have been increasingly popular over the years, as at the time of issue they were not as popular as buying the singles (due to price) and many were opened to be mounted in collections. Includes issues such as Leonard Cohen, Bears, Hockey, “Wait for me Daddy”, “In Flanders Fields” and the elusive $4.00 Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep (pane of four). Very conservatively value for the total postage value only (take into consideration the catalogue value will be over twice that of the face value). All stamps are either “P” stamps, the $5.00 Maple Leaf Jersey or the $4.00 Bighorn Sheep. Total face value = $105.15 $55.00
Canada - Modern Souvenir Sheet / Miniature Pane Bonanza. An attractive all-different selection of 46 different souvenir sheets or miniature panes from 21st century Canadian issues. Noted better items such as Lunar New Years (including "Transitional" sheets), "From Far and Wide" series, Nelson Mandel, Hockey, QEII Jubilee etc. Conservatively valued for the usable postage value only, but the catalogue value would be considerably higher. Total face value = $201.92 $12.00

All on collector made / computer generated pages, plus several stocksheets. The stocksheets included some earlier issues, back to the "First Cents" issues, but the condition on the earlier material is very mixed. Still, many better items to be found, especially in the George V era. While all of the stamps are in mounts, expect the earlier mint to be hinged. Estimate = $200.00 $10.00
Canada - Philatelic Literature: "Must Have" Tomes plus a British Columbia Focus. Take careful note of the scarce and valuable tomes in this incredibly useful and hard to replicate group. Estimate = $325.00 $13.00
Canada - Plate block chaos! A small file-card box is filled with a few hundred mint plate blocks from King George VI (War issue) to about 1970 (but mostly pre-1960). Some are nicely organized and labelled in glassines or "102 cards", others are just loose. It will take a couple of hours just to give this a good sort, but there appears to be some matched sets, some better plates/positions and the overall condition appears quite nice. Expect a mix of hinged and never hinged material here. Invest the time to build your collection. Estimate = $150.00 $85.00
Canada - Postage Due hoard of "Purple" and "Red" dues with the balance of a couple of dealer’s unorganized holdings, some on card and page, others loose. The Reds are a really mixed bag awaiting organization, with a few unopened Canada Post packs and a small group of large mint multiples which can help round out your collection. Not often seen, and substantial catalogue value here. Estimate = $150.00 $13.00
Canada - Thematic / "Back of the Book" assembly. A small box (about the size of a shoebox) stuffed with the often neglected special Canada Post issued products, most of which are now listed in the back of the Unitrade catalogue. These products have been increasingly popular over the past several years as finding some of them can be challenging as many dealers don't stock them. Includes 1991 Proclamation Day folder, EXPO 70' Japan presentation folder, 1995 Super Heroes comic book/stamp/FDC pack, 1976 Olympics "bronze" stamps, Ships of Canada book, stamp illustrated phone cards, early year set souvenir cards, a half-dozen stamp related oins and numerous other Unitrade listed thematic collections. 158 Canada - Thematic Collection #175. The seldom seen 2012 "Titanic Collector's Set" thematic collection issued to mark the 100th anniversary of the tragic sinking of the Titanic. This is the first time we have offered this set, which had a low-production and high issue price which put off many collectors at the time of issue (issue price was $140.95). Still Post Office wrapped, so although a bit hard to photograph, the Post Office advertisement is attached to the package. 2024 Unitrade = $215.00 $15.00
Canada - Thematic Collection #88. Wholesale offering of 5 copies of the 1999 issued "Millenium" collection, hardbound limited-edition book, featuring 34 panes of two stamps, being the only way you could acquire the stamps in this format. Only 200,000 were produced, with an original purchase price of $59.99 per book. The stamps in these books are actually different than the regularly issued panes (different size of "hidden date"). Unitrade acknowledges this, but does not value these separately. Still in the original Canada Post plastic wrap for 3 of these 5 books. Original purchase price was $299.95. 2024 Unitrade = $600.00 $10.00
Canada - Thematic Collection Estate Offering. A "winebox" filled with a wild-ride of Canadian Thematic collections and other "back of the book" listed items. Also includes a small batch of "Star Trek" which includes the sealed pack of 8 FDC plus 8 loose FDC (including the "Lenticular Pane") and a mint example of the "Lenticular Pane". This is followed by lots of sets and souvenir sheets (noted the 1963 Boy Scouts) and supported by a small group of dealer cards and an album page with some attractive, earlier material, and with a bit of unsorted mint material in glassines. A very attractive group with significant catalogue value. Estimate = $200.00 $10.00

The collection contains many hundreds of stamps, with strength from the 1930s to the early 1980s (sparsely filled pages thereafter), including several sets, with album pages up to 1993. The vast majority of stamps catalogue for the basic used price, however, we note a good deal of topical and thematic subjects within including flowers, butterflies, Olympics and sports, motorcycles, etc. The Lighthouse Albums are in like new condition and retail several hundred dollars alone. A good starter collection in pricy albums that is just waiting to be built upon. Estimate = $350.00 $11.00

An attractive page of 44 mint and used late 19th-early 20th century issues, most of which depict the Sphinx and Pyramid, including a few overprints and a couple of uncounted "Salt Department" revenues. 258 Fiji - Small holding of mint and used issues up to 1963, noting a used 5/- QV, a nice mint KGV set to 5/- (#93-106), and King George VI and QEII issues up to £1. Some disorder and a bit of duplication is to be expected. British Pacific material of this type doesn’t come around every day! Estimate = $140.00 $15.00
Finland #7/56. A page of used 19th century Finnish classics with two serpentine roulettes #7 and #9 in the kind of condition that you rarely see. The rest of the sets are solid with light, clear cancels and missing only the top one or two high values. Individually identified and catalogued years ago. The three faulty serpentine roulettes (#6, 7, 10) are not considered in our recalculation of the catalogue value listed. 2023 Scott = US$676.75 = $913.61 $24.00
France - Collection of France housed in a 32-page stockbook and accompanied by a German spring-back album. The value is in the stockbook which starts with Scott #6 Ceres 25c blue, 1949-1950 and runs through to Scott #1635 in 1979. The semi-postal starts with #B35 and runs to #B514. This collection is mostly used with a good selection of cancels through to the Sage issue to 1900. From 1901 to 1937 there is a mix of used and mostly mint. From 1937 to the end of the collection in 1979 it’s mint (mostly Never Hinged). There are 172 stamps in the classic period and 1500+ for the 1901-1979 period. There is duplication in the German album but included are souvenir sheets and booklet pages. Owner's Estimate = $750.00 $65.00
France - Mostly mint latter half of the 20th century collection balance. Definitely hit or miss, but the majority is nicely laid out. There are a few black show cards with semi-postals ("Coat of Arms" and "Famous"). There is a pouch with a small group of complete booklets (catalogue $75.00) and 16 stockpages that run up to about 1990 with lots of sets and singles. There are four complete panes, including the De Gaulle memorial issue as well as some blocks of more modern material. Not much back of the book but noted a card with over 20 mint copies of B1. The used material is almost an afterthought, with a few early semi-postals and a couple of random album pages. Significant catalogue value in its totality. Estimate = $180.00 $11.00
French Colonies - Part A. Mounted collections of French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Niger and Mauritania. There are black stockpages from Algeria and New Caledonia. Most of these were auction or bidboard lots at one point and were never touched after purchase. Supporting this is a small box of dealer purchases, with a die proof of the French Polynesia "Football" 20f, and lots of assorted stamps from a dozen different colonies. Note: a number of the "102" cards and glassine envelopes have different material than is written on the outside. Includes a touch of Monaco "for the record". Equal parts exploration and value here. Estimate = $180.00 $10.00
French Colonies - Part B. Mounted collections of Chad, Equatorial Africa, French Guiana, Martinique and Cilicia, each of which was a separate auction lot in another life. Purchased and set aside for a day that never came and it is now awaiting your enjoyment. Finishes with a couple of pages of "Common Design" issues and a small bag of "102" cards with a wide range of issues from several French Colonies, while some appear mostly common, there could be "nuggets" here and there. Estimate = $180.00 $10.00
Gambia #5/120. Three Royals worth of mint Cameos and Keystones issues on a pair of black stockpages. Fresh and a quick check indicates that these have lighter hinging than normally seen. A good mix of Victorian, Edwardian and King George V, including the Elephant and shield set up to 5/-. Beautiful addition to your British Colonial or British Africa collection. Total 2023 Scott US$464.15 = $626.60 $10.00
Germany - Collection of Primarily Used Germany and Area in 6 Volumes, 1880s-2011, with many hundreds of stamps on printed Steiner pages, in nice leatherette bound binders. This is essentially a starter collection with bulk of the material containing mint and or used singles, sets and partial sets from the 1900's to about the 1970s. The collection also includes scatterings of mint and used semi-postals and other back of the book stamps, along with sparsely filled pages of DDR, Berlin, Occupations, and more. A cursory check of catalogue values revealed most of the stamps are $3 and under with a few singles, sets, and partial sets ranging from $5 to $10 and up. The printed pages and binders should be worth a few hundred dollars alone, making for the potential to build on and form a more advanced collection. Estimate = $250.00 $10.00
Germany Bavaria #2/66, J2/J6. A study lot of 100 mostly used stamps, imperforates on page one, perforated stamps on page 2. This accumulation is perfect for identifying printings, shades, cancels. Numerals, coat of arms and a couple of postage dues, with duplication of up to about 10 of a type. Expect a bit of mixed condition and the forgery of #1 is not counted in the conservative catalogue value. Total 2023 Scott US$917.20 = $780.30 $10.00
Germany Covers - Inflation Era 1920's covers and cards as accumulated by a collector decades ago. Included are 83 items, which include a wild-ride of inflation era multiple frankings, which showcase the ever-popular exponential increase in the German postal rate in the Post-WWI period. Potential better items lurk throughout, as these were purchased from local BC dealers by a locally based collector, with little attention paid to any potential better rates or dates by the dealers. Offered as received. Estimate = $150.00 $10.00
Germany, States, DDR, Berlin - Everything German that tumbled out of this consignment. The stockbook may be in rough shape, but the used post-1970 Berlin issues (including semi-postals) are voluminous and in good condition. A bit of a showpiece is Bavaria #34, complete mint sheet of two panes of 30 stamps each (tear in selvage at top). There is an assortment of album and stock book fragments plus black Vario-brand pages packed with mint and used material from the late 19th century until the 1980’s. Noted some multiples from the DDR "Marx" issue. Lastly, there are a couple Danzig items, just for good measure. Estimate = $140.00 $11.00
Gibraltar - An accumulation in a large handful of album pages, dealer stock, glassines, retired circuit books and 1990 and 1991 year set folders. Starts with mint and used issues in the QV to EDVII eras. There are some better King George V perforation varieties and a good solid range of issues into the 1990’s, including some souvenir sheets. As this appears to have come from several sources, some minor duplication is expected. The original cost to assemble this would have been significant. Perfect to build a collection or to break up for sale. Offered as received. Estimate = $180.00 $11.00
Great Britain #3. A dozen imperforate penny reds, with a complete run of the 12 London area "numbered Maltese Cross" cancels. The cancels are easily readable strikes. As usual, the stamps were selected for the cancel, and not for the condition of the stamp itself, so there is significant variation in the quality of the stamp. Most would benefit from being re-soaked, but you would still be starting from a high place. Total 2017 Stanley Gibbons Concise £3045.00 = $5,397.10 $26.00
Great Britain #3. Postmark study lot of the "Penny Red" imperforate stamp of 1841. A total of 52 stamps, some of which have already had the cancel identified. Also useful to study shades, plate wear, etc. A surprising number of stamps here are three and four margin copies. On three cut-down album pages that we guess are at least 60 years old. Catalogued ass basic stamp only. Total 2023 Scott US$1625.00 = $2,193.75 $0.00
Great Britain #3/30. Four pages of early Great Britain Penny reds and "tuppence" blues, all identified by Stanley Gibbons numbers, including some nice little complete runs. Both imperforate and perforated issues, sorted by printing, colour shade, plate, etc. Includes some better that, if accurate, would catalogue up to £850 each. The overall condition appears to be better than usual, and stamps have been well kept in black mounts. Catalogued as basic stamps only. Total 2023 Scott US$3534.00 = $4,770.00 $26.00
Great Britain #11/312. All used 1854 to 1955 period collection of 206 stamps, all mounted on the original quadrille album pages. All identified and valued by the consignor. The Victorian and Edwardian period material has values noted up to the 2sh6p, the GeoV section goes up to the 10sh and the GeoVI/QEII issues go up to the £1 value. Expect a few faults in an original old-time holding such as this, but unchecked for varieties. Take a good look at the scans to help determine overall quality. Owner's 2024 Scott US$3,720.65 = $5,022.90 $13.00
Great Britain #14/1039. Attractive collection of used stamps from 1854-1983 in a four-ring Stanley Gibbons album. Has a nice group of Queen Victoria issues which is a bit "hit or miss" at the start but is strong from the 1880’s with denominations to 2/6. The Edward VII is the same, with 10 duplicates all having private perfins. King George V includes numerous Seahorses (up to 10/-), and there are a relatively few items missing to 1983, including a bit of "back of the book" and regional issues. The strength is definitively in the pre-1910 era, as we saw individual stamps which catalogue up to $200.00 each, with some mixed condition. While the album cover is split, it still hold up well and has protected the contents as purposed. Estimate = $250.00 $30.00
Great Britain #29/33. A "Penny Red" study group on thirteen lucky old album pages from three different sources. Most are various runs of plate numbers, which will make a fairly complete collection, including some high numbers and some cancellation interest. There is also a dozen or so 2p blue perforated issues with their own plate study that are along for the ride. Around 300 stamps here, sure to please any studious collector. Estimate = $180.00 $11.00
Great Britain #32/126. Queen Victoria starter collection or study lot with a range of 44 different used values plus a pair of #64. Different designs, colours or plate numbers (different plates are all readily identifiable). Many have nice, readable cancels. Some mixed condition as is often seen of these issues. Includes denominations up to 2/6 and stamps with catalogue values up to $325.00. Total 2023 Scott US$3838.60 = $5,182.11 $10.00
Great Britain #34/48. Overseas usages of a dozen Queen Victoria issues with half used with "B01" killers from Alexandria (Egypt) and the other half being either "M" or "A25" cancels used in Malta. Includes five "wing margin" copies. All of the cancels are readable, and the stamps are in better condition than are normally seen. Estimate = $180.00 $11.00
Great Britain #127/147. King Edward VII mint including a basic set to the 1/- (unchecked for shades), an assortment of cylinder numbers, and four blocks, arranged on a couple of stock pages. Great appearance, but many with hinge remnants and a couple of the blocks have a bit of perforation separation. Still a great way to build up your GB collection. No premium added for the cylinder numbers in the total catalogue value. Total 2023 Scott US$941.75 = $1,271.36 $10.00
Great Britain #O2/O58. Queen Victoria officials with "Inland Revenue", "Government Parcels", "Office of Works" and "Army" overprints. Group of 33 mostly used stamps, including a bit of duplication amongst the cheaper values. Better includes O6, O34, O37, O38, O44, O58 and a mint copy of the 1/3p vermilion Inland Revenue overprint with an additional "Specimen" overprint (catalogues £120 in the owners 2017 Stanley Gibbons concise catalogue). From a very olde-time holding, these are in typical condition for these stamps used on non-philatelic, non-mainstream mail. Several would benefit from a soak. A couple of nice socked on the nose cancels are noted. The "Specimen" overprint is not counted in the total catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$$1154.75 = $1,558.91 $22.00
Great Britain - Estate Bankers Box Holding. A postal history / stamp mix, which includes the Channel Islands and Ireland, reasonably organized within a box, offered as received. Some of the notable items include a batch of QV to QEII covers / postcards, mint GB packs (including 1st Class rates), used in "102" cards, Lighthouse 32-page stockbook with mostly used QEII and hundres of First Day Covers (both loose and within albums). A treasure trove for the GB collector that has a flair for postal history. Estimate = $200.00 $10.00
Great Britain - Massive clear out of almost everything British up to 1985. Includes albums, a nice Lighthouse stock book, lots of loose album pages and stock cards. Both mint and used with some classic Victorian and Edwardian material. There is mint Elizabethan material, including a couple of presentation packs, Machin booklet panes, a bit of Channel Islands (including a few FDCs), and oddments of back of the book (e.g. revenues, cut squares, etc.). This is for the sorter or picker out there who can separate wheat from chaff. Estimate = $200.00 $11.00
Great Britain - Massive wholesale lot of almost 150 years of British stamps, overfilling a U-Haul box. Fortunately, many are sorted at least by colour and denomination, but there is still lots of material that will need you to filter through. As you would expect, there are masses of Machins, but there are small sections of Victorian and Edwardian (including an envelope with a couple hundred "Penny Reds"), and some envelopes of lower value definitives that could have some postmark potential. There are some Elizabethan commemorative issues, and a touch of material from the Channel Islands, etc. Thousands upon thousands of stamps here. Estimate = $140.00 $10.00
Great Britain - Matching duo of deluxe red-padded Stanley Gibbons album (one for mint, one for used), with pages from 1840-1977 including "Regional" & "Back of the Book" pages. The used album has 279 stamps in total, going back to QV and the mint album is quite well represented with 699 stamps going back the Edwards (all appearing to be Never Hinged, with the exception of a few of the earlier issues). A nice pair of albums that would form a good basis for expansion. Estimate = $250.00 $22.00
Great Britain - Jersey #7/436. Mint stamps and First Day Covers from 1969 to 1987. Most are from a standing new issue service and still in their original envelopes. Often there are stamps (in glassines), first day cover(s) and the original announcement brochure. Some are untouched, some have been taken out and separated, making it hard to see how complete these are. The mint includes values up to £5, and the FDCs seem fairly complete, with all appearing to be addressed. More interesting than we normally see from this period. All in a small box. Estimate = $120.00 $0.00
Great Britain Offices in Turkish Empire #8-12. Complete used set of the 1902-1902 Edward VII British Levant overprint series of 5 stamps, all with choice CDS cancels. A visually appealing set, with fresh colours. 2024 Scott US$165.00 = $222.75 $13.00
Greenland #1-9, 28-38, 39-40. Attractive trio of mint Never Hinged sets, including the 1938-1949 first series, 1950-1960 "Frederik IX / Polar Ship Gustav Holm" and 1956 surcharged / overprinted "Polar Bears". A bit of gum toning on a few values of the first set (mentioned for the record), otherwise a very clean offering. 2024 Scott US$290.90 = $392.70 $0.00
Greenland #10-18. The 1945 "American Issue" complete pictorial set of nine, F-VF Never-Hinged. A couple of shorter perfs on the 15 ore value, which is mentioned for the record. Includes an "imperforate" O1, but we have not counted this as it is gummed (issued without gum) and is more likely a trimmed example of O3. Hinging ranges from Light to Remnant, but overall a "well above average" offering of stamps, perfect to knock off the majority of official spots in an album. 2024 Scott US$1803.55 = $2,434.80 $0.00
Iceland - Group of 93 different mint Never Hinged souvenir sheet / booklet panes from the 1995-2013 period. A wonderfully colourful assortment of stamps here, which this country is renowned for, filled with a wide range of topical interest as well. 2024 Scott US$381.35 = $514.80 $10.00

A great source of sets from this popular country, from an important time period in the history of the region. Harder to find material than the catalogue would indicate. 2024 Scott US$177.30 = $239.35 $10.00
Latin America - What this lot lacks in organization, it makes up with fascinating and valuable material, the balance of a consignment. In order of appearance there is a 1941 Paraguay set overprinted "Muestra", a stock sheet and mounted collection of Haiti, followed by a very old, retired circuit book, and three booklets with mint multiples of Columbia’s flower set (#546-551). Uruguay and Panama have mounted collections and there are some souvenir sheets from Brazil and Argentina, with more mint Columbian multiples (these much more modern). There is a presentation folder from Haiti’s 1949 International Exposition, some mint Bolivia with souvenir sheets, some Mexican mint, some "new issue" FDC panels from the 1980’s and a bit of back of the book. Nicaragua and some pre-revolutionary Cuba is scattered throughout, and the lot concludes with a 16-page stockbook of Paraguay that catalogued over $200.00 in 2008. Not your usual lot! Estimate = $300.00 $26.00
Leeward Islands #28, 40. Attractive used duo both the 5sh Edward VII high-values, including the 1902 green and ultra and the 1911 green, red and yellow (on chalky paper) issues. 321 Malayan Peninsula - A mish-mash with a couple of album pages of North Borneo, a few mint copies of Sarawak #26/27, a nice couple of stockpages with an accumulation of mostly used Straits Settlements definitives (catalogued at US$496.55 in 2020). 322 Mauritius #47/479. Beautiful collection featuring a century of mint and used issues from this former Indian Ocean colony. There is a bit of Victorian and Edwardian material, but the strength is with the King George VI and Elizabethan material, up to 1979. Includes #235-249, the Royal Wedding set, the QEII pictorial issue (missing only a single stamp), plus the nice bird set (regular and overprinted), and most of the sea life issue of 1969, both mint and used. A bonus item is a 1967 10c bird with minor "kiss print" doubling. A bit of worthwhile duplication here, but overall a wonderfully diverse offering. Estimate = $150.00 $11.00
Monaco #B9-B17. Complete mint Hinged / Hinge Remnant set of the 1920 surcharge semi-postal series, issued for the marriage of Princess Charlotte to Prince Pierre, Comte de Polignac. While the Hinging is a bit heaving resulting in gum-loss, this set is still very tough to find in this nice of condition, over 100 years after issue. 2023 Scott US$340.50 = $459.70 $11.00
New Zealand #51/101, P1. A quarter century of mostly used Victorian-era classic issues in a very old homemade album organized by Stanley Gibbons. How old? The Gibbons numbers have all changed, so it is likely over 50 years ago that this was created. A smattering of First and Second Side Face plus the 1898 Pictorial issue and a few others, with values up to 1/-. These have been identified by perforation and in a few cases, colour shade. A quick turn through Scott indicates several hundred dollars of catalogue value. As a bonus, this collector had other material on a stock page that hadn’t been mounted yet (including duplicates), with eight (faulty) Chalons and three newspaper stamps. Could be some cancel interest, plus there is one ad printed on back "Sunlight Soap". Mixed condition as is expected from this era. Estimate = $150.00 $19.00
New Zealand #123. VF mint Never Hinged block of six of the 1906 Christchurch Exhibition Issue, 1p vermillion issue. A bit of separation on the top two stamps, and some natural gum bends, but nothing that would not be expected from a multiple from this time period. 2024 Scott Classic US$360.00 = $486.00 $0.00
New Zealand - Collection of 434 mint and used neatly hinged on pages, with some Never Hinged material (mostly more modern) placed within black mounts. A good run of material for the 1862-1969 period, including the 1960 and 1967 definitive sets (both mint, #333-352 and #382-404), semi-postals, officials and even a touch of Ross Dependency. 327 New Zealand - Collection of Mint and Used New Zealand in 3 Volumes, 1900s-2007, containing several hundreds of stamps, on roughly 200 printed Steiner pages within handsome leatherette binders. The collection begins with a small selection of pre-1900 used stamps, and continues with a mint and or used singles, sets, and partials sets, with the strength of the collection ranging from the 1920s to the 1990s. A cursory check revealed a few singles, sets and partial sets cataloguing $10 to $40 and up, including Scott #s 229-241 (mh, c.v. $58 total). The collection continues with sparsely filled pages post-2000, but does include a few mint sets, and sheetlets, along with a small representation of back of the book material including semi-postals. A nice starter collection on premium pages / binders ready for additions. Overall fine to very fine. Estimate = $300.00 $11.00
New Zealand - Massive used wholesale accumulation of mostly 20th century on manila stock pages. Noted some late-Victorian era material, followed by some KEVII and then masses of King George V "Official" overprints, and slightly less of the same of the 1935 issue. While there is a bit of mid-century material, the next concentration of material is from the 1990’s, including some higher values. There is a bit of back of the book, such as Health, postage due and Life Insurance issues. A few mint stamps are scattered throughout. There is enough disorganization here that we could have easily missed some gems. As received from an estate. Estimate = $180.00 $0.00
Niue #6/198. Better mint collection from the New Zealand overprinted issues up to 1977, with the occasional "bonus" item, such as missing period, different type setting, etc. The earlier issues are far cleaner than are normally seen, with 1/- Kea, 2/- Admirals (both shades), tall 2/6 postal fiscals and "Arms" postal-fiscal up to 10/- and $2.00. A quick check of the earlier issues indicates that they are mostly lightly hinged, and the more recent issues never hinged. All in black mounts on quadrilled pages. Total 2023 Scott catalogue US$658.55 = $889.04 $0.00
Norfolk Island #1/580. VF mint Never Hinged selection of 511 different stamps from the 1947-1995 period, almost all in complete sets, neatly laid-out on stockpages. Unusually fresh and VF mint NH or postally used selection of 25 different 1945-1949 period issues from the short-lived autonomous formerly Indian state. Some of these stamps are surprisingly hard to find, in no small part due to the very short time period that these were valid issues. What were once "all different" sample packs now catalogue US$96.50 per pack of 25! This lot contains 10 packs. A perfect acquisition for the Ebay or show seller. 2023 Scott US$965.00 = $1,302.75 $0.00
Philippines - Collection of mint and used 1871-1972 on "Palo" hingeless pages, within 3x Lighthouse brand deluxe 3-ring albums (with matching slipcases). A fantastic run of material, that includes the early Spanish and American Administration, Occupation, "Back of the Book" issues and more! While a bit spotty in the earlier material, the collection quickly picks up in the 1930's and would make an excellent basis for expansion. Expect the condition to be a bit mixed in the earlier material, but overall a "well above average" offering. The catalogue value calculated is US$2339.00 ($3157.65 CDN), plus the premium albums. Estimate = $600.00 $110.00
Poland - WWII Polish Government in Exile. An exquisite group of WWII issued stamps and postal history for the Polish Government in Exile (in England) mounted on home-made pages within a springback album. The three Schaubek album are sparsely filled, with pages ranging from 1853 to 1988. These are a nice companion to the stockbook as stamps can be tranfered to fill up empty pages to make a very nice collection. Our online photos show just a small taste. A few small faults with a few of the early stamps, overall fine to very fine. Estimate = $350.00 $10.00
Portugal and Colonies, Spanish Colonies - Iberian administered areas found in these former auction and bidboard lots. While there is a touch of Portugal, including a collection on pages and mint copies of the 1939 and 1941 souvenir sheets (some minor edge faults), the best is from Macau. There are 6 complete panes of 28 stamps of the 2-1/2r overprinted newspaper issue of 1893 (P3 - catalogues $1248.00), along with what might be a study of postal tax stamp RA17, and a card with five earlier stamps (most overprinted) with a catalogue value over $75.00 The Spanish colonial material is from the Philippines, Fernando Po and Spanish Morocco. Not often seen material. Estimate = $150.00 $10.00

A spot check revealed a few sets and partial sets cataloguing from the $20 to $30 range, leaving better finds to the dedicated collector. A popular collecting area, that would fill some spaces for the worldwide collector. A few small faults with a few of the early stamps, still a nice lot. Estimate = $170.00 $10.00
Roman States #1-9. Mostly used run of the first 9 values of the 1852 first Roman States "Papal Arms: series. The two mint values are #2 (no gum, valued as such in Scott) and #4 (hinged).
