Albania - Premium mint (hinged) and used selection of 59 stamps 1913-1944, seemingly all better neatly identified and arranged on 3 pages, including "back of the book" airmail / semi-postal issues. A premium offering of better material. 2025 Scott US$952.25 = $1,285.50 $13.00
Algeria #B1-B103. Complete run of mint semi-postal issues from the 1927-1969 period, all neatly arranged in mounts on the previous owner's album pages. Mostly Never Hinged, but we did note some Hinged material as well mixed in (especially in the earlier material). Ignore some of the pricing on the pages, that was done before us and does not reflect the current catalogue value. A nice chance to get a run this comprehensive. 2025 Scott US$496.20 = $669.85 $24.00
Australia #52/55. Trio of nicely used higher value "Roos" with the "Narrow Crown/Narrow A" watermark (Scott wmk 10). The 2/- brown has a light parcel cancel, the 5/- has a socked-on-the-nose "Sydney/39" CDS cancel. The 10/- has a lovely, light "Gaffneys Creek, Victoria" circular date stamp (from the old gold mining community which had a post office up to 1981). A couple of pulled perfs noted here and there, still very striking stamps. 2023 Scott US$415.00 = $560.25 $42.00
Australia #126-129. The four highest value ‘"Roos" covering the 5/- to £2.00 denominations from the 1932-1935 printing with the "C of A" watermark. The 5/- is likely cancelled to order, the 10/- has a socked-on-the-nose "Ship Mail Room" cancel, the £1.00 has a partial "Sydney" cancel and the £2.00 stamp has an indistinguishable CDS cancel. The £1.00 stamp has a bit of wrinkling and the £2.00 has a rounded corner. Still better than normal appearance. 2023 Scott US$1295.00 = $1,748.25 $110.00
Australia #129. VG/Fine CDS used example of the 1934 issue £2 dull rose and black high value Kangaroo (wmk 228). A decent example of this elusive stamp. 2024 Scott US$800.00 = $1,080.00 $10.00
Australia #132. Perfectly centered partial CDS used example of the 1932 issue 5sh gray green "Sydney Bridge" high value commemorative. This stamp is almost always found off centre. 2024 Scott US$275.00 = $371.25 $110.00
Australia #O1/O14, CO1. Wholesale lot of "OS" overprinted officials on regular issue and airmail stamps. All used except for one copy of O3 which is mint, hinged. The Kingsford Smith issue includes non-CTO examples and there are up to 9 of a type. A complete run except one of the 6d Kangaroos. Expect the occasional small fault, but otherwise this is a desirable group. Total 2023 Scott US$615.55 = $830.99 $22.00
Australia - Duo of fine mint Lightly Hinged 1915/1923 "Roo" issued with "SPECIMEN" overprints, consisting of the 1915 issued £2.00 black and rose and 1923 issued £1.00 grey (Stanley Gibbons #45s/75s). Gibbons only values the #45s as part of a set of three (at £800.00), but lists #75 individually at £150.00. A couple minor gum bends, mentioned "for the record", but an attractive addition to any early Australia collection. Estimate = $150.00 $26.00
Australia - Kangaroo OS perfins sorted by perfin type and then by denomination and colour and unchecked for watermarks. Starts with 8 copies of the large "OS" from the first issue, followed by an assortment of the small "OS" on 1/2d-2/- denominations with up to six of a type. Not listed in Scott, but the minimum Stanley Gibbons catalogue value is £360.00 ($632.00 CDN). Bonus material includes five stamps with "OS/NSW" perfin, 2 with the "T" perfin for the Government of Tasmania and the sleeper is a £1 ‘Roo Scott # 57 (catalogues $375.00, the only stamp that we did check for watermark), with an "ES" perfin for "Elder Smith & Co" with the appropriate Adelaide postmark. Expect a few minor faults and there could be some light duplication. Estimate $200.00 $32.00
Australia - Perfin Holding. A collector's accumulation of 236 Perfin stamps, neatly arranged on stockpages and including both "Official" and "Private" perfin types. Strength in the George VI era "Roos" and "Heads". An interesting group, of which we usually don't see in this sort of quantity. Expect the odd fault. Estimate = $130.00 $10.00
Australia - Roo-stravaganza Part 1. An old-time estate find, originally in a small envelope stuffed with used Kangaroo issues, probably untouched in 40 years. We mounted it on a Vario stockpage, leaving it unchecked for watermarks, retouches, or cancels (of which there are several beauties). This part covers the 1/2d to 6d and is only sorted by major colours, but obvious shade differences exist. Roughly 100 stamps, expect the odd small fault, but catalogued by the minimum Scott for each denomination/colour. A very conservative total 2023 Scott US$1133.00 = $1,529.55 $13.00
Australia - Roo-stravaganza Part 2. From working on an estate and a small envelope stuffed with used Kangaroo issues emerged from the pile, probably untouched in 40 years. We mounted it on a Vario stockpage, leaving it unchecked for watermarks, retouches, or cancels (of which there are several beauties). This part covers the 9d to 10/-, and is only sorted by major colours, but obvious shade differences exist. About 80 stamps in total, expect the odd small fault, but catalogued by the minimum Scott for each denomination/colour. A very conservative total 2023 Scott US$598.75 = $808.31 $13.00
Australia - Used collection of Australian 1913-1990 in deluxe Stanley Gibbons padded album. About 80% complete for the period (with the exception of "Back of the Book", which need attention), almost all used with the odd mint (usually in mounts) mixed in throughout. A great "foot in the door" collection to be built upon, or take what you need to fill the holes in your own album. Estimate = $130.00 $10.00
Australia - New South Wales #O24/O33. Unusual "Specimen" overprinted set with the OS overprint and subsequently cancelled to order. Attractive appearance and all with no gum (presumably as issued). Both Stanley Gibbons and Scott indicates that the 5/- should be perf 10, but this example is perf 12. The footnote in Scott indicates that these may not be unexpected, as residual stock and reprints were sold when these issues became obsolete. Owner's 2018 Stanley Gibbons £500.00 = $900.00 $17.00
Australian States - Perfins & Postmarks! A collector's holding of 97 Perfin Stamps & 220 "Postmarks", seemingly from all Australian States, but with strength in Tasmania. A very interesting duo of groupings, the perfins which seem to feature both "Official" and "Private" perfins, the "postmarks" being selected stamps, chosen by the collector for either CDS or Numeral cancels. Expect the odd fault, but a fun group of material, perfect for future research. Estimate = $160.00 $26.00
Australian States - New South Wales #14/128 plus Back of the Book. Study group of used NSW issues with some perforated and imperforate side-face Victorian issues and a nice run of 1851 and "coin" design issues to 5/-. It’s unclear if any attempt has been made to sort by Stanley Gibbons, but there are some beautiful stamps here, along with some nice, readable cancels. About 150 stamps in total, including some "OS" overprints and "OS/NSW" perfin officials. Expect some minor duplication and some mixed condition. Perfect for the student of early OZ! Estimate = $150.00 $42.00
Australian States - New South Wales #O30. Terrific "OS" overprint in red on the violet 5/- "Map" issue perforated 12x12 and likely cancelled to order (about the only way that you are going to find this issue). Nice deep colour and about as nice as you are likely to find. 2023 Scott US$800.00 = $1,080.00 $24.00
Australian States - New South Wales #O31. Clean "OS" overprint in black on the ultra coloured 20/- "Governors" issue perforated 12x12 and likely cancelled to order (about the only way that you are going to find this issue). Clear print in an unlisted lighter coloured shade. Very nice. 2023 Scott US$1100.00 = $1,485.00 $19.00
Australian States - New South Wales #O31. Strong "OS" overprint in black on the dark ultra coloured 20/- "Governors" issue perforated 10x10 and likely cancelled to order (about the only way that you are going to find this issue). Large gauge perfs are a bit rough, as you would expect. A previous owner’s mark is on the reverse. 2023 Scott US$1100.00 = $1,485.00 $13.00
Australian States - New South Wales - Used accumulation that is the balance of an estate. Includes better individual stamps, such as Victorian side face issues to 8d, a 20/- "Governors", and a study group of five copies of the 5/- map and a nice used copy of #B1. Plus, there is potential for Stanley Gibbons listed shades and perforations and attractive and unchecked cancellations appear throughout. These unpicked holdings don’t come around very often. Estimate = $180.00 $42.00
Australian States - Queensland #13/139. An extensive wholesale accumulation of hundreds of used Queensland, identified and sorted by Stanley Gibbons numbers. Up to about 20 of a type, with lots of stamps in the $3.00 - $7.50 catalogue range, but with individual items up to $27.50 (the high value "Chalons" are not counted), all half-filling a high end 48-page Lighthouse stockbook. Lots of cancel potential, with many numeral "Sunburst" cancels noted. The condition will be a bit mixed, but this is an unpicked holding that hasn’t seen the light of day in decades. Estimate = $250.00 $55.00
Australian States - Queensland - Old time collection PLUS extras that will appeal to all students and collectors of Queensland material, including a mounted collection with lots of Chalon issues (values to £1) with several "sunburst numeral" cancels (and stamps which could catalogue up to $100.00 each). This is followed by a black stockpage with more early issues (only a few revenue cancels), with the lot concluding with a few pages of cheaper material selected for their cancellation appeal. Expect some duplication, some mixed condition and some joy to sort. Estimate = $200.00 $42.00
Australian States - Revenues - Mounted assortment of used revenue stamps from Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. The Victoria includes Scott-listed "Stamp Duty" issues including AR11 and AR58 (catalogues $125.00 and $100.00 respectively), plus two different groups with "Cattle" overprints (there are good on-line catalogues that will help you sort these out). New South Wales includes "Stamp Duty" issues to £10.00 and the Queensland has some nice "Newspaper and Parcel" stamps showing steam trains. Over 100 stamps, all revenue cancelled, in better than average condition. Great to increase the eye-appeal of your collection. Estimate = $200.00 $130.00
Australian States - South Australia - Balance of a collection with some very attractive items. Includes an old, mounted collection from the earliest issues both perforated and imperforate, with a good smattering of issues through to the tall issues (with denominations up to 5/-) and some officials. There are four pages of stamps selected for their readable cancels, including many squared circles. Unchecked for Stanley Gibbons varieties. Expect the condition to be a bit mixed and for some minor duplication. Also expect value at every turn! Estimate = $180.00 $32.00
Australian States - Tasmania #2, 2a. Clean used copies of two of the three shades of the first 4d issue of Tasmania from 1853, showing the "Young Victoria". The stamps are F/VF with partial numeral cancels that an expert might be able to decipher. Comes with a certificate from Pinchot and Son (1988) of genuineness. A great way to start your Tasmanian collection. 2023 Scott US$975.00 = $1,316.25 $11.00
Australian States - Tasmania #11/32. A dozen and a half used "Chalon" designed stamps, both perforated and imperforate up to 1/-. Includes some nice numeral cancels (and a couple manuscripts). Usual mixed condition, but great appearance. All counted as the cheapest for the design, so bargains might be found, including different shades or perforations. Total 2023 Scott US$921.00 = $1,243.35 $55.00
Australian States - Tasmania - A couple of sections from mounted collections with nice "Chalon" issues to 1/-, both perforated and imperforate including some interesting cancellations and running up to the Pictorial issue. Lots of $30.00 - $75.00 stamps throughout, based on the layout there could be shades or perforations awaiting discovery. About 75 stamps in total, but with a bonus group of a dozen reprints, forgeries or otherwise reprobate stamps (including two that have "bad" certificates). A great lot for study or to enhance your collection. Estimate = $200.00 $32.00
Australian States - Tasmania - Heavenly town and numeral cancel hoard. From an estate that has been untouched for thirty years, this collector bought and never got around to organizing. Hundreds of stamps here, mostly on their original pages, including stockpages and a mounted collection. Noted common towns (but sometimes with uncommon cancels from those towns), mixed in with better such as "Spring Hill", "Pieman Bridge", "Kangaroo Point", "Ouse" and "Campbell Town". Most are unidentified and await your discovery. There is good value just for the stamps here. Given the good quality of the strikes, we expect some mixed condition amongst the stamps. As with any old accumulation, some duplication should be expected. Estimate = $350.00 $130.00
Australian States - Victoria #2/232. Balance of an estate that has sat dormant for over 30 years, with an assortment of used Victorian issues starting with a four-page mounted collection going back to the earliest issues (catalogued $550.00 many years ago with the faulty not counted). Accompanying this is a selection with a couple of pages of numeral and town cancels, a single album page and concludes with the loose stamps out of the lot that we have corralled onto a couple of black stock pages (noted #B1-B2 used), along with lots of cancel appeal and some better stamps peeking through. Appears unchecked for Stanley Gibbons listed varieties. Terrific little lot! Estimate = $200.00 $95.00
Australian States - Victoria #30/228. Significant accumulation of several hundred used stamps, with up to 40 of a type filling a near-new 16-page Lighthouse stockbook. Bought as a collection 30 years ago and then appears to have never been touched. Some obvious shade and cancel appeal (e.g. numerals, circular date stamp, duplex), but unsure if perforations have been checked. Most are common stamps, with denominations to 5/-, but stamps cataloguing $3.00-$10.00 each are everywhere and includes a few Stamp Duty revenues. About as unpicked as you are going to find material like this. Estimate = $200.00 $42.00
Australian States - Victoria #132/232. Treasures and attractive space fillers amongst this mint page of later Victorian issues. About 1/3 of the stamps have original gum, the rest have no gum and the copy of #124 is not counted (catalogues $100.00). The best includes #159 and #168 and there is lots of good shade study material here, especially amongst the penny and three half-penny issues. Substantial catalogue value throughout. Estimate = $130.00 $32.00
Australian States - Victoria #184/229. Magnificent looking group of 28 different late Victorian issues. Includes most of the February 1901 set, including the three high values, both the May 1901 printings, most of both the June 1901 and 1905-1910 sets to 1/-. Fresh appearance, with better than average backs. Several have the Scott number penciled on the back, which doesn’t take away from this terrific lot. 2023 Scott US$661.45 = $892.96 $65.00
Australian States - Victoria #B1-B4. All four of the Queen Victoria and Boer War fundraising semi-postal stamps. A mix of original gum (with heavy hinging) and no gum. That being said, these have an overall fresh appearance, and will be a welcome addition to fill those pesky "back of the book" spots. 2023 Scott US$667.50 = $901.13 $13.00
Austria - Mid-1960's to early 2000's collector's used stock, neatly arranged within a 16-page Lighthouse stockbook and 11 manila stocksheets. Easily over 1000 stamps here, most selected for premium postmarks (plus a nice stockbook and manila pages). Estimate = $120.00 $15.00
Bahawalpur - Ten Packets, each containing #1, 2-6, 16, 17, 22-25, 26-29, O1, O2, O12, O14-O15, O25-O28. Unusually fresh and VF mint NH or postally used selection of 25 different 1945-1949 period issues from the short-lived autonomous formerly Indian state. Some of these stamps are surprisingly hard to find, in no small part due to the very short time period that these were valid issues. What were once "all different" sample packs now catalogue US$96.50 per pack of 25! This lot contains 10 packs. A perfect acquisition for the Ebay or show seller. 2024 Scott US$965.00 = $1,302.75 $11.00
British Antarctic Territory #1/201. Elegantly mounted collection in clear mounts, starts off with a near complete run to 1973, including both £1 denomination, switching to a mix of mint and used for the balance of the 1970's and then all mint to 1993 (but numerous spaces to be filled between 1986 and 2003). The mint all appears to be never hinged and most of the used material (as to be expected) is likely of philatelic origin. Very nice condition, and not often seen. Total 2023 Scott US$689.05 = $930.22 $22.00
British Commonwealth - Common Design / Omnibus Collection. A nicely arranged collection of 1937 Coronation (189 stamps), 1946 Peace Issue (151 stamps), 1947 Royal Visit (14 stamps), 1948 Olympics (24 stamps) and 1948 Silver Wedding (low values, 71 stamps). All neatly hinged on quadrille pages within a blue Rapkin springback album. While not complete for any of the issues, this offers a hefty start to being complete and a great way to fill in holes in any current holdings (449 stamps in total). 2025 Scott US$340.55 = $459.75 $12.00
British Commonwealth - Near complete set of the 1949 UPU (Universal Postal Union) Omnibus series, mint, lightly hinged on quadrille pages within a green Rapkin springback album. Missing only French New Hebrides, but including Iraq, Palestine and Jordan. A total of 322 stamps, making for a very attractive offering of this popular issue. 2025 Scott US$484.25 = $653.75 $32.00
British Commonwealth - Plymouth Collection : Fiji Islands. Wonderful comprehensive used collection of Fiji 1937-1987 (#114/578) with 520 stamps, including perforation varieties, neatly arranged within mounts on quadrille pages within a Stanley Gibbons "Plymouth" album (with slipcase). 40 British Commonwealth - Plymouth Collection : Nauru. A high-quality, carefully curated used collection 1937-1987 (#17a/342) George VI / Elizabethan assembly of 325 stamps, largely complete for the period, neatly arranged within mounts, on quadrille pages within a Stanley Gibbons "Plymouth" album (with matching slipcase). A wonderful offering, which was put together with care and attention by the previous owner. 2025 Scott US$551.25 = $744.20 $32.00
British Commonwealth - Plymouth Collection : New Zealand. Absolutely stunning 2-volume used collection 1935-1988 (#185/897, including "back of the book" Health Stamps, Life Insurance, Ross Dependency). A total of 1009 stamps, largely complete for the period with many better items throughout (and mounts in-place for the small group of items that are "yet to be found"). Likely the nicest used collection of New Zealand we have ever seen, which we have elected to offer "as received" rather than break down to give the future owner the ability to enjoy the care and attention given to this collection. All neatly arranged in mounts, on quadrille pages within (2) Stanley Gibbons "Plymouth" albums (with slipcases). A seldom seen opportunity. 2025 Scott US$4356.50 = $5,881.25 $36.00
British Commonwealth - Plymouth Collection : Norfolk Island. An in-depth, high quality used collection of Norfolk Island 1947-1988 (#1/436) with 440 stamps, seemingly complete for the period, neatly arranged within mounts on quadrille pages within a Stanley Gibbons "Plymouth" album (with slipcase). A wonderful assembly of material, collected and presented with great care by the previous owner. A gold-mine for complete sets and topicals. 2025 Scott US$447.75 = $604.45 $65.00

A wealth of complete sets and topical interest, easily the nicest assembly of Solomon Islands we have seen in sometime! A great opportunity here. 2025 Scott US$706.85 = $954.25 $42.00
British Commonwealth - Plymouth Collection, Christmas Island / Cocos (Keeling) / Tonga. The next installment of this high-quality used QEII collection covers Gilbert Islands / Kiribati from 1976-1983 with 288 stamps (#253/435) and then Tuvalu with 218 stamps 1976-1983 (#16/215). All neatly arranged in mounts, on quadrille pages within a Stanley Gibbons "Plymouth" album (with slipcase). Largely compete for the period, with mounts in-place for the few missing stamps. Largely philatelic cancels, but just about the only way to find these used. Wonderful topicals throughout. 2025 Scott US$280.05 = $378.05 $22.00
British Commonwealth - Plymouth Collection, Niue and Tonga. High-quality used collection, being a topical stamp filled trip through Niue 1937-1980 (#70/285) with 314 stamps (2025 Scott US$345.40) and Tonga 1963-1972 (#128/311), with 174 stamps (2025 Scott US$162.10). Largely complete for the period, all neatly arranged within mounts on quadrille pages within a Stanley Gibbons "Plymouth" album (with slipcase). Largely philatelic cancels, but this is just about the only way to find these used! A very tidy offering. Total 2025 Scott US$507.50 = $685.10 $22.00
British Commonwealth - Plymouth Collection, Pitcairn Islands & Tokelau Islands. Another stellar installment of this high-quality used collection. This time, including Pitcairn Islands 1940-1987 (#1/294), with 306 stamps, largely complete for the period (2025 Scott US$385.25), followed by Tokelau Islands 1948-1987 (#1/149) with 154 stamps, also largely complete (2025 Scott US$106.55). All neatly arranged in mounts on quadrille pages, within a Stanley Gibbons "Plymouth" album (with slipcase). A wonderfully clean group. Total 2025 Scott US$491.80 = $663.95 $22.00
Canada #28. Fresh and VG/Fine mint original gum (disturbed) hinged example of the 1868 issue 12½c blue Large Queen. A tough stamp to find unused. 2024 Scott US$1750.00 = $2,362.50 $11.00
Canada #29, 30. F/VF mint hinged duo of the two basic shades (gray violet and gray) of the 15c Large Queen. Both with original gum, disturbed from hinging. 2024 Scott US$250.00 = $337.50 $10.00
Canada #29a. Attractive Fine used example of the 15c grey violet Large Queen, perf 11½ x 12. Decently centered and moderately cancelled with a clear blue segmented cork. An elusive Large Queen type. 2024 Scott US$475.00 = $641.25 $26.00
Canada #34 Cover. Choice single-franking example of the 1/2c black Small Queen on circular rate cover, posted locally from Halifax NS, May 21st 1883 to Moncton NB. A wonderful example of the single use of the 1/2c stamp, being a scarce dated example (as almost all these circular rates are undated, as Post Office regulations only required them to be cancelled only with a grid). An attractive addition to any postal history collection, or "plus-value" add-on to a traditional stamp collection. 2024 Unitrade = $300.00 $13.00
Canada #34/703. Attractive mint collection of 721 stamps from the 1870-1976 period, neatly arranged within a Davo brand hingeless album. Ranging from Small Queens to 1976 Olympics, plus "Back of the Book", this offering represents a well above average collection of mint Canada, ready to be taken to the next level. A very uncommon sight to see $40.00 invested by a single collector on one issue in 1949, but to have it with the original Post Office receipt is a first for us! Catalogued as 20 plate blocks and 920 singles…but should be worth more! 2024 Unitrade = $306.00 $32.00
Canada #282. Seldom do we see the full layout, especially for both Plate Numbers of the issue. A couple with staple holes / pencil marks in selvedge (as often found with sheets acquired from the Post Office at the time). Extremely hard to recreate. While these only catalogue $122.40 (as plate blocks, single stamps), this full-format offering should demand a hefty premium! Estimate = $140.00 $32.00

Comes with the original Kasimir Bileski write-up, from when purchased from him in the 1980's for $300.00! Unitrade value is low, considering how infrequent we see these. 2024 Unitrade = $400.00 $75.00
Canada #806a. VF mint Never Hinged imperforate pair of the 1979 issue 17c green Parliament coil, with two regular perforated stamps on left, then the imperforate pair on right. An eye-catching and obtainable QEII error. 2024 Unitrade = $200.00 $22.00

Two booklets are perfect for display purposes (front and back). Estimate = $100.00 $36.00
Canada #2844. Rare VF MNH complete souvenir sheet of 5 of the quickly recalled 2015 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Canada showing an image of "Hoodoos" instead of Dinosaur Provincial Park, Alberta on the first $1.20 stamp. 121 Canada #2877i. VF MNH Bernie Parent AUTOGRAPHED "hockey card" format S/S from the 2015 NHL "Great Canadian Goalies" issue. Has the silver foil holographic Canada Post sticker of authenticity. Face value alone is $67.50. 2024 Unitrade = $300.00 $36.00
Canada #BK236c. VF mint complete example of the 2000 Canadian Bank Note printed 47c "Flag and Inukshuk" booklet of 10 stamps, being the "no gum, cover printed on gum-side" variety. These elusive booklets were often found and discarded as the stamps were not actually sticky when pealed off, with the adhesive remaining on the booklet portion. They can also be distinguished by a subtle difference in florescence when compared to a regular booklet. 2024 Unitrade = $350.00 $34.00
Canada #C1-C2, C4-C5, C7-C9, CE1-CE4, CO1-CO2. 129 Canada #CL21bi. A faulty, but extremely scarce example of the Patricia Airways Exploration, 5c "RED LAKE" overprint type D, in violet, horizontal. Neatly used with Red Lake ONT (March 5th 1928) split ring "socked on the nose" cancel, but missing a small piece from the upper right corner. That being said, the owner states there are only 8 examples of this stamp know, all of which are used. Suffice to say, missing from almost all collections of semi-official airmail. 2024 Unitrade = $3,750.00 $55.00
Canada #CL30. VF mint Lightly Hinged, corner margin example of the INVERTED overprint in purple. Noted in Unitrade as a footnote in the semi-official airmail section. 2024 Unitrade = $200.00 $13.00

We noted some higher denominated "Animals", a few "Picture Postage", potential for modern (mostly BC) hand cancels and lots of "P" denominated stamps. A bit of it was sorted by the contributors, otherwise offered as received. Estimate = $150.00 $55.00
Canada - Charity Offering. Consignment balance in a banker’s box. Total issue price = $180.37 $28.00
Canada - Mint / Used "Gibbons" collection 1983-1998 (#1060/1753). A "dueling" mint (Never Hinged) and used collection, usually with the mint on the left, used on the right of each page opening. All neatly arranged in mounts (mint) or hinged / in mounts (used) within a deluxe padded Stanley Gibbons album. A collection put together with care and attention to detail, which includes high values (noted 2x $10.00 Whale MNH, 1x used) souvenir sheets, mammal definitives etc. Very conservatively valued for the total usable postage value alone, but the used material here and the album adds substantially to the lot. Total face value= $530.36 $55.00
Canada - Mint / Used "Gibbons" collection 1998-2004 (#1749/2076). A "dueling" mint (Never Hinged) and used collection, usually with the mint on the left, used on the right of each page opening. All neatly arranged in mounts (mint) or hinged / in mounts (used) within a deluxe padded Stanley Gibbons album. Lots of better items here, including souvenir sheets, Lunar New Years, Snowbirds etc. An interesting period in Canadian stamps, which started to see the transition from domestic valued stamps, into the "P" stamp era. Very conservatively valued for the total usable postage value alone, but the used material here and the album adds substantially to the lot. Total face value = $319.47 $75.00
Canada - Mint / Used "Gibbons" collection 2010-2012 (#2348/2568). A "dueling" mint (Never Hinged) and used collection, usually with the mint on the left, used on the right of each page opening. All neatly arranged in mounts (mint) or hinged / in mounts (used) within a deluxe padded Stanley Gibbons album. Another high-quality offering from this collection, with many better high-values including multiple value souvenir sheets (this was a popular era to mix "P" stamps with oversize, USA, International values). Very conservatively valued for the total usable postage value alone, but the used material here and the album adds substantially to the lot. Total face value = $434.33 $55.00
Canada - Mint / Used "Gibbons" collection 2013-2016 (#2599/2958). A "dueling" mint (Never Hinged) and used collection, usually with the mint on the left, used on the right of each page opening. All neatly arranged in mounts (mint) or hinged / in mounts (used) within a deluxe padded Stanley Gibbons album. A wealth of better issues here, including high-value / "P" stamp souvenir sheets (most of the stamps from this era are "P" stamps). More mint than used in this one, as to be expected as the modern issues are tough to assemble! The pages run to 2021, so the collector has placed the 2022 issues acquired into a stockpage. Very conservatively valued for the total usable postage value alone, but the used material here and the album adds substantially to the lot. Total face value = $701.01 $325.00
Canada - Mint Block / Plate Block collection. A collector's assembly of mint Never Hinged 1960's to 1990's blocks, plate blocks and miniature panes. None of these have ever been folded, although expect the odd spot of selvedge separation and the odd pencil note in the selvedge (as Post Office stock usually got). Very conservatively valued for the usable postage / face value only. Total face value = $271.00 $80.00

Reasonably duplicated, up to 5 of a type, as collected and soaked from the collector's philatelic mail through the past 20 years (to be fair, one is still on paper, "to be soaked"). We noted MANY high-values or multiple value souvenir sheets (with Canada / USA / International values), many "P" stamps, $10.00 Whale, $8.00 Grizzly, $5.00 Moose, QEII 2012 souvenir sheet and pane ($2.00 stamps), Titanic, "Far and Wide", UNESCO etc. Take a good look at the pictures to appreciate the high-quality of this holding. 154 Canada Cancels - Alberta Town Cancels. A collector organized offering of 410 different POCON / Retail Centre / MOON cancels on piece, neatly PACKED onto four stockpages. A premium offering, as opposed to just being an accumulation, the collector took time to sort these out to make sure they were all different. 156 Canada Cancels - NWT / Nunavut / Yukon Postmarks x185. Collector's assortment of 140 "NWT or NU" postmarks and 45 "YT" postmarks on stamp or piece. 157 Canada Cancels - QV to Admiral "Socked on the Nose" postmark holding of over 500 items, neatly arranged by issue (plus some "loose" on cards) within a small stockbook. Quality of strikes is well above-average, with strength (as to be expected) in Ontario / Quebec towns. Mostly CDS / Split Ring cancels, but also noted some "odds and ends" including Squared Circles. It would take sorting many thousands of stamps to boil down to a selection this nice. Estimate = $250.00 $90.00
Canada Cancels - SASK Saskatchewan Cancel Holding. A collector's selection of 1554 stamps, all selected for SASK cancels, primarily CDS, split ring, duplex types, neatly arranged on quadrille pages within a springback album. While not all issues are represented, the clear strength is in the earlier material, with 90% of what is here being George VI "War Issue" or earlier. 180 Canada Covers - Canada Post cachet First Day cover hoard, most 1971-1987 with singles and blocks (or plate blocks) with up to 20 of a type. All appear to be unaddressed and are reasonably well sorted. Includes better such as 17 corner blocks of the 1972 Geo-Technical and a matched set of blank corners for the #926A. All are #8 sized, with the exception of eight, which have larger issues or souvenir sheets (1979-1987). Conservative estimate is that there are 800 covers here, with massive original cost. Bonus items include 300 uncacheted, privately produced covers from 1965-1975, many used to England, but what makes these interesting is the stiffeners, which were often new issue brochures, Post Office forms (like forwarding address cards, or even a blotter or two). Lastly, there is a set of the 1976 Montreal Olympic covers with event cancels. Estimate = $200.00 $18.00
Canada Covers - First Day Cover Holding. A bankers box, 3/4 filled with mostly Canada Post cachet FDC from the 1973-1985 period. As opposed to being an accumulation, this is more of a collection with likely a near complete run of FDC for the period, represented by singles and inscription blocks (and usually more than one of each). The face value of the stamps here would add up quickly, we noted a $5.00 Point Pelee (1983) single and inscription block right on top. We estimate the face value alone to be near $1000.00, which would put the original purchase price well over that $1000.00 mark. Estimate = $200.00 $42.00
Canada Covers - First Day Covers from private cachet makers filling a bankers box, mostly 1947-1978. Noted producers such as Rosecraft, Artcraft, Capitol, H&E, Cole, drug/medical producers, plus a few scattered one-offs from smaller producers. Almost all are addressed, with up to about 5 of a type, and with individual issues with up to 5 different cachets. Includes folders with the documentation for three locally produced First Day covers, one with a printer’s sample, the other two with the original cachet mock-up. Very few after 1971 and a very diverse offering. Estimate = $300.00 $22.00
Canada Covers - Great Canadian Cover "Catch-All" accumulation of 209 covers / postcards, haphazardly arranged within a small box (shoebox sized) as found. Many better items noted, including postmarks (noted a St.John NB Large Queen cover), picture postcards, FDC, postage dues, airmail, Newfoundland (pre-confederation), postal stationery, slogans, censor, registered, first flights etc. A fun sort ahead for any postal history hound! Estimate = $130.00 $70.00
Canada Covers - NB New Brunswick Postal History. A large batch of 160 covers, from the George V / George VI period, largely addressed to the Chase Medicine Company in Toronto, all bearing NB split ring town cancels. A wealth of small town postmarks, although there are some tough to read covers, and many of the covers have had some tape repairs, staining on bottom from storage (decades ago). Still, a great treasure hunt for the NB town postmark collector. Estimate = $140.00 $10.00
Canada Covers - Privately cachet First Day Cover hoard most 1964-1978, from a wide range of producers including Rosecraft, H&E, Jackson, Cole, NR, etc. We noted up to 6 different cachet makers for a specific issue, and up to 10 of a type. All are #8 sized, except for a handful of "Schering" #10 FDC. Approximately 1700 covers in total, all addressed. We also noted (on the non-FDC side) a complete set of 1976 Montreal Olympic covers with event cancels. Hasn’t seen the light of day in 40 years. Estimate = $300.00 $12.00
Canada Covers - Splendid offering of 14 Mail Bag Tags. A seldom seen offering of 14 mail tags, from the 1970's / 1980's bearing either the (mostly) "Artifact" or "Street Scene" issues. One of the wildly neglected areas of modern postal history, items such as these really put added value into any collector or exhibit, and can be fun to figure out the rates of the time. Many still in the original sleeves from when purchased. Estimate = $150.00 $22.00
Canada Covers - The "Story of Canada" Collection / "Canada 125, The Canadian Experience" special collections. The complete four volume collection of 83 different deluxe gold cacheted First Day covers making up "The Story of Canada" Excelsior Collector's Guild set. Each FDC is on a special page and includes a mint Canadian stamp (different from the stamp on FDC) that ties into the story of the FDC. An attractive, informative and hugely expensive early 1980s production (original issue cost of this lot was probably well over $600.00). This is followed by the less-often seen "Canada 125, The Canadian Experience" special boxed presentation set, featuring the 1992 Canada Day FDC and presentation style booklets outlining the history of Canada. Estimate = $150.00 $55.00
Canada Covers - WWI / Military Postcard Collection. A collector's accumulation of 89 postcards, all related to Canadian forces in WWI. 242 Danish West Indies #12. The scarce 14c lilac and green on a fairly thin paper used with a nice concentric ring cancel. The only faults are a couple short-ish perfs and a lower right corner which appears to be rounded, but could have resulted from the spacing of the line perforations. A respectable copy, until a perfect one comes your way. 2023 Scott US$1750.00 = $2,362.50 $10.00
Danish West Indies #13, 13a. Both Scott-listed shades of the 50c violet on different thickness papers. Two mint examples with original gum and unobtrusive hinge remnants. Nicely centered examples with clean perforations. Considerably good looking stamps being 1879 issues! 2023 Scott US$570.00 = $769.50 $10.00
Danish West Indies #14/22. Group of revalues and later 19th century issues. Includes the 1c on 7c surcharge of 1887 with #14 used (expertization mark), 14a (different shade, mint) and the 14d (inverted frame, no gum). The 10c on 50c #15 includes two mint shades (Scott lists only one) and then the balance of the lot is #16-17, 19, 21 and two shades of 22 (again unlisted in Scott). Expect the mint to be heavily hinged, but the overall appearance is fresh and the perforations are in good condition. Total 2023 Scott US$883.10 = $1,192.20 $19.00
Danish West Indies #J1/J8. Postage due study with small wholesale amounts of both mint and used examples of most of the 8 issued stamps. The collector’s note indicates that some different types may be present but provided no details. The condition is mixed, but not unusual for pre-WWI issues, the mint being heavily hinged and the used having only the odd minor fault. The three blue dues at the bottom of the page are apparently forgeries and not counted in the total catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$628.00 = $847.80 $36.00
Danzig #1/254 plus Back of the Book. Good starter collection of the German administered period, before control was handed over to Poland. Good coverage, often with both mint (hinged) and used examples and a bit of specialist potential. Includes overprints on French stamps, hyper-inflation period, the 1924 "Buildings" issue, souvenir sheets #221 (used) and B21a (mint). Throughout is a good offering of "back of the book" including semi-postals, airmails, postage dues and officials. Most are mounted in clear mounts on old Schaubek album pages. The catalogue value of the material here will add up quickly. Estimate = $150.00 $10.00
Denmark #4/163, O2/O15, P1/P8. Mounted collection of 90 different used pre-1922 stamps on Borek album pages. Includes some nice "Royal Emblems" with clear cancels, a good mix of numerals and King Christian IX issues and then getting quieter after 1910. Includes a few nice officials and newspaper stamps. Most appear to have been selected for their quality and/or cancel. Total 2023 Scott US$1266.60 = $1,709.91 $10.00
Egypt #2/538. Attractive mint (Lightly Hinged) selection of 61 different stamps, including 3 souvenir sheets from the 1879-1961 period. A very clean offering, including some of the most iconic design stamps of the period. 2025 Scott US$198.90 = $268.50 $20.00
Egypt - Inter-Postal Seals / Revenue Stamps 1860's to early 1900's. An absolutely fascinating group of 172 "stamps" or "labels", being either inter-postal stamps (used on Government mail 1863-1893), or revenue stamps (looks to be mostly Cigarette / Tobacco Tax Stamps). Neatly laid out on stockpages within a binder. Very interesting to view, offered "as received" from a local estate. Potentially better material here, which will be fun to research! Estimate = $200.00 $270.00

Includes a number of sets, starting with a used set of the "Birds" and several later mint or used definitives. A very complete run starts with the Common Design issues up to the early 1980’s with sets often mint and used, and the occasional souvenir sheet. There is a touch of duplication and a bit of Dependencies (of the same era). What makes this lot extra special is the Stanley Gibbons 1968 series 4-ring binder in sky blue with a Penguin motif, in lovely condition, we have only seen a couple of these over the years! Overall, the condition is excellent. The mint stamps are a mix of hinged and never hinged. Total 2023 Scott US$695.00 = $938.25 $42.00

Expect most of the earlier material to be hinged (looks to be mostly lightly) before transitioning to Never Hinged in the later QEII sets. A very useful group of material, perfect to start of a collection or keep what you need and break apart the rest for resale. 2025 Scott US$750.30 = $1,012.90 $32.00

France #62. VF mint Never Hinged example of the 30c brown 1872-1875 printed perforated "Bordeaux" issue. A remarkable example of this stamp, which has expertizing mark on the reverse, and is accompanied by a 2023 dated "J.-Pierre Depasse" certificate of authenticity. This stamp in the Yvert & Tellier catalogue is #56 (catalogue €1100.00). The Scott Catalogue (Classic) does not assign a value for never hinged, so valued as a basic mint stamp (although should be worth considerably more). 2024 Scott Classic US$550.00 = $742.50 $26.00
France #264-283. Compete F/VF mint Never Hinged set of the 1932-1939 "Peace with Olive Branch" series (20 stamps), with values from 30c to 1.75 fr. Assembled with care by the previous collector, with an eye for quality. 2024 Scott Classic US$275.00 = $371.25 $36.00

Includes the "Sinking Fund" issues, as well as "Industry and Agriculture", "Smile of Reims" and French provinces "Allegory" along with five of the good, overprinted sets (there is no B24, and the B32 appears to be mint hinged). A tough group to put together. Total 2023 Scott US$993.50 = $1,341.23 $110.00
France #2168. Fluorescent Paper Variety. VF mint NH example of the 1989 issue "Philex-France" souvenir sheet, printed on the uncommon fluorescent paper. This variety is recognized by all the major catalogues including Scott (see footnotes). This paper type usually appeared in sheets that were packaged in Post Office collector's packs destined for foreign countries, and as such were scattered to the four corners of the globe. We don't get these often. 2024 Scott US$400.00 = $540.00 $10.00
France #C4. Fine mint Hinged example of the scarce 1928 printed 10fr on 1.50fr Louis Pasteur overprinted airmail issue. Three expertizing handstamps on the reverse, including "Calves" and "Behr". Starts with a complete first "Navigation and Commerce" set (all mint, except one used stamp) and the "Brahama/Temple" set, with overprints and revaluations. Includes a decent offering of "France Libre" overprints. The "back of the book" includes most of the semi-postals, and a couple nice sets of airmail and the first postage due set. Expect the mint to be hinged and for there to be minor duplication. The damaged copy of #24 is not counted, otherwise the condition is well above average. Ignore the penciled pricing which was done in 1981. Total 2023 Scott US$689.95 = $931.43 $32.00
French Southern and Antarctic Territories #143/172, C102/123. This collector went a bit crazy with "new issues" between 1988-1992, and in most cases bought 5 examples of most issues (or the equivalent in a sheetlet). While it is a good run, it isn’t complete, noting better such as #172 (block and single) and sheets of 10 of C105a & C120a (5 pairs), C121 and C123. All mint, never hinged, with most in their original glassines. Enormous initial cost. Total 2023 Scott US$612.60 = $827.01 $22.00

A visually appealing group, with many of the stamps here being very clean examples with tidy / choice postmarks. The album alone would retail for over $200.00. Owner's 2020 Michel / Deutschland Specialized catalogue over €8530.00 ($12,800 CDN). Estimate = $1,500.00 $250.00

A few used stamps are scattered throughout. Most are in clear mounts on Schaubek album pages, but expect the mint to be hinged. 2023 Scott US$471.10 = $635.99 $32.00
German States - Balance of a collection of German States material that we have been breaking up. These states did not warrant individual listing, usually because of the lack of individual catalogue value, but also because of condition or excessive numbers of reprints/forgeries. Includes Bergedorf, Brunswick, Bremen, Hamburg, North German Confederation, Oldenburg and Saxony (which is the most promising of the lot). Lots of value here and a great study or research opportunity. Estimate = $170.00 $34.00
German States - Bergedorf #2, 4. Attractive mint / unused no gum multiples of the 1861 issue #2/4, in block of ten, and strip of four (respectively). A very attractive duo of early multiples. 2025 Scott US$550.00 = $742.50 $10.00

A well above-average example of this issue, signed / expertized on the reverse. Michel catalogue is €350.00 ($512.50 CDN). 2025 Scott US$250.00 = $337.50 $22.00
German States - Prussia #1/27. Two stockpages with an array of mostly used issues, with some nice cancels and shades noted (accounting for a couple of apparent duplicates). The condition is mixed, as you would expect. One copy of #7 and the #21-22 on "Goldbeater’s skin", plus an assortment of 10 revenue stamps are not counted in the total catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$946.20 = $1,277.37 $13.00

German States - Thum and Taxis Northern District #1/32. Attractive page with 29 stamps which covers most of the stamps issued by this district. A mix of mint (hinged) and used, with only a couple of duplicates and a small number not counted because of damage. Otherwise, the condition is above average with some very attractive postmarks. Bring your critical eye when looking at this lot. 2023 Scott US$1252.25 = $1,690.54 $13.00
German States - Thum and Taxis Southern District #42/63. Attractive page with 26 covering most of the stamps issued by this district. 279 German States - Wurttemberg #1/71, O1/O183. Several pages from an old Schaubek album with a nice range of a couple hundred mint and used (and sometimes both) issues covering the 19th century for the regular issues and a very nice run of officials ending in the early 1920’s. Most are nicely mounted in clear mounts and the condition appears to be better than normally seen. We noted some of the early issues have nice cancels, with lots of value throughout. 2023 Scott US$1985.65 = $2,680.63 $13.00
Germany #2/21. F/VF selection of 9 different "Imperial Eagle" large and small shields, including #2, 3, 3a, 8, 14, 15, 17, 20 and 21. A very tidy offering, with better postmarks / cancels than are usually seen on these issues. Owner's 2016 Scott US$526.50 = $710.75 $22.00

VF used lower right sheet-margin / corner block of four of the 1900 issued 3 mark value black/brown/ violet shade (Peace printing, Michel #96AIb), "Unveiling Kaiser Wilhelm I Memorial", with "Socked on the Nose" Stuttgart CDS postmark. Fine+ imperforate example of the uncommon 1923 inflation issue (Michel #338aU), expertized (on reverse) by "Schlegel / BPP" and with attractive in-period "Berlin 7.7.24" CDS postmark. A bit faded on the upper left corner, but a scarce Inflation Period issue. Owner's 2020 Michel €350.00 = $512.20 $10.00
Germany #B58. VF Mint Never Hinged example of the rare 1933 semi-postal souvenir sheet of four. A very clean sheet, without the usual wrinkles, with only a couple minor foxing spots mentioned "for the record". Missing from most German collections we see. A key Third Reich sheet. 2024 Scott US$4500.00 = $6,075.00 $250.00
Germany #B68. Used example of the famous 1935 issue OSTROPA souvenir sheet of four on cut piece (perhaps having trimmed the selvedge slightly). Note some minor cracking in the letters and numbers of the watermark that are associated with the effects of the dangerously acidic gum. Razor sharp special OSTROPA show cancels (23.6.35). One of the key-issue souvenir sheets of the period. 2024 Scott US$825.00 = $1,113.75 $10.00
Germany #C41 Postcard. Zeppelin Airmail. Attractive 1931 "Russian Ice-Breaker" Zeppelin airmail postcard (Sieger Flight #119F) flown from Friedrichshafen to the Malygiun Ice Breaker ship. An attractive use of the key-value "Chicago World Exhibition" airmail series, Sieger flight #406c, owner's Michel catalogue €800.00 ($1171.20 CDN). 2024 Scott Classic US$600.00 = $810.00 $22.00
Germany #O1/O103, 3N1/3N20, 4N1/4N13, 5N1/5N46, 6N1/6N40, 8N1/8N41 Plus more. Officials and Occupied areas. An interesting, mounted collection on Schaubek pages, where most of the pages have been doubled. One with mint stamps, the other with used. Starts with Inflation-era official issues and quickly moves to post-WWII occupation stamps, including semi-postals. Generally the mint stamps of this period are less expensive and are quite complete, but there is a good run of used issues. You will have to judge the legitimacy of some of the usages (not a comment on this source, but it’s a standard warning for any used material from this time period). There are lots of $5.00-$25.00 items throughout and souvenir sheets 5NB8b and 8NB4a. The condition is generally quite nice, expect the mint to be hinged. Estimate = $200.00 $150.00
Germany - A colourful and eclectic mix of mint and used material, from the German Empire to 3rd Reich, arranged on pages, stockcards and dealer cards, mostly identified by the previous owner. Highlights include Michel #42 (lying watermark) and Michel #303A (used) among many others. Owner's total Michel catalogue value is €1785.00 ($2680.00 CDN). Estimate = $300.00 $11.00
Germany - An attractive collection of German States 1849-1871 (plus Bavaria later on) including Baden, Bavaria, Hamburg, Hannover, Lubeck, Helgoland, North German Federation, Prussia, Saxony and Thurn & Taxis. A mix of mint (mostly hinged) and used, including cancel / postmark interest, neatly arranged in a hingeless "Ka-Be" album. The owner has painstakingly gone through and catalogued the group by Michel catalogue, with obviously damaged stamps not counted. The album itself is in fair shape, but with a couple damaged pages, which would retail alone for over $200.00! Owner's 2020 Michel / Deutschland Specialized catalogue over €6200.00 ($9300.00+ CDN). Estimate = $1,500.00 $140.00
Germany - An explosion of 1980s "Muster" overprints on 446 German stamps (including semi-postals) and four souvenir sheets, plus an additional 31 overprints on Berlin issues. The condition appears to be very fine mint, never hinged, as released by the German post office as specimens. The disorganization makes it difficult to determine how much duplication there is, but it appears to be moderate, perfect for helping you recoup your purchase price. Housed in an expensive brown leatherette KABE 32-page black acetate strip stockbook. Estimate = $400.00 $10.00
Germany - Balance of an accumulation in a box. Almost all 20th century, up to about 1990. The most interesting is a glassine box filled with glassines with irrelevant notations, with mint and used "States", hyper-inflation, Wartime, post-war, DDR, Berlin, etc. which also matches what is in the rest of the lot. There are a few bits of mounted collections on album pages, 25 "Ersttegsblatt" cards from 1984, another 25 CEF panels between #2/73 (only 500 each of these were ever produced and will boost any German first day cover collection). Finally, there are eight of the 1936 Berlin Olympics semi-postals cancel tied to a large panel, possibly suited for framing. Lots of fun exploration here. Estimate = $180.00 $10.00
Germany - Clean offering of 74 all-different complete booklets from the 1981-2000 period, all being semi-postal issues with a wide range of topical interests. Neatly arranged on stockpages within European style 2-ring binder. Valued by the consignor as single mint stamps only, with no premium given for the booklet. Owner's 2016 Scott US$1250.00 = $1,687.50 $11.00
Germany - Collection of occupied, administered, plebiscite territories, mostly from between the two World Wars. Includes Allenstein, Marienwerder, Upper Silisia, Schleswig, Belgium, Romania, Russia, Austria, Alsace, Lorraine, Luxemburg, Ostland, Poland/General Government, Bohemia and Moravia PLUS more! A mix of mint and used (and often both) issues, most in mounts, in a Schaubek album (but expect the mint to be hinged). The areas that are included are generally covered well. The collector also had a bit of an eye for specialization, so various printing varieties, shades and nice cancels are scattered throughout. The condition appears pretty good, but some faults are to be expected. Very eye-catching and the catalogue value will add up quickly. Estimate = $200.00 $110.00
Germany - Comprehensive 3rd Reich Collection 1933-1945 of mint (mostly) and used neatly arranged within a high-quality Lindner (hingeless) album. Includes airmail, commemorative, regular issues, semi-postals, officials and legion stamps. Expect the mint to be hinged, with never hinged items identified / notated in pencil on the page. Only needed a few key-items to be complete (many offered here in this sale). A wonderful opportunity to be built-upon. Owner's 2020 Michel catalogue €4900.00+. Estimate = $800.00 $210.00
Germany - Group of 500 mostly different "Notgeld" currency notes (a bit different from our usual offerings). A visually enticing offering, seemingly all uncirculated. The "Notgeld" or "Emergency Money" notes were produced by various German municipalities, companies and individuals between 1914 and 1923, without official government sanction, as a locally produced means of payment during a highly volatile inflation period for the country. Many of these notes feature elaborate colour illustrations depicting local landmarks, local legends and attractions. Offered as received, including the original owner's receipt of purchase from 2003 (paid US$355.00). Estimate = $200.00 $95.00
Germany - Post WWII 1946-2011 collector's used stock of a few thousand stamps, neatly arranged with duplication within a like-new Lighthouse 64-page stockbook. Condition looks to be well above average, with many selected for choice CDS cancels. A nice way to have an instant stock for this period, with a premium stockbook (retail list price is now $79.95 on the stockbook alone!). Estimate = $130.00 $10.00
Germany - Postal Stationery / Illustrated Postcards / Workbooks. An enthralling group of 26 items, including illustrated postal stationery, war related postcards, two 1939 WWII workbooks. The Keystone definitives start with better such as both 2d, 2-1/2d, both 4d, and nice 6d and 1/- examples. Most are 1 or 2 of a type, but up to 8. The used might have the occasional minor fault and the gum side on the mint stamps is all over the place (presume them to all have paper hinge remnants and be pleasantly surprised for the few that are just hinged). A total of 50 stamps. Total 2023 Scott US$1007.40 = $1,359.99 $28.00

If you like album pages, there is a small handful of them from several different collections. There are a few stockpages with Victorian, Edwardian and Georgian issues. A quick look noted individual stamps cataloguing up to $55.00. There are also several glassine envelopes with lots of loose stamps, including lots of the King George VI "long" issue that appear to be completely unchecked for the various perforation varieties. With the modern issues there are a number of souvenir sheets and better sets and singles scattered throughout. While the bulk of the material is pre-1980, there are issues up to 1999. Estimate = $150.00 $13.00
Gibraltar #22/38. Stockpage with an old holding of Spanish currency Queen Victoria issues, both mint and used, starting with a nice batch of overprints (including both mint and used #27 and #28). When the keystone plates were revised, all are present (except #31), and most issues come both mint and used. Most are 1 or 2 of a type, but up to 8. The used might have the occasional minor fault and the gum side on the mint stamps is hinged / hinge remnant (presume them to all have paper hinge remnants and be pleasantly surprised for the few that are just hinged). A total of 61 stamps. 2023 Scott US$1161.70 = $1,568.30 $20.00
Great Britain #1/1238. Comprehensive used collection of QV to QEII (1940-1988) neatly arranged on quadrille pages within a Stanley Gibbons "Simplex" springback album. Includes examples of #1-3, but each has the design cut into (still good representative examples for the issues). The Regional and Offices Abroad are also represented, including N.Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Morocco, Tangier etc. A total of 1288 stamps, with a 2024 Scott catalogue value of US$3621.40 ($4888.90 CDN). Estimate = $375.00 $55.00
Great Britain #1/650. A very useful collection of mint and used (used in the earlier material, before shifting to mint NH during the QEII period), neatly arranged on home-made pages. Includes a decent showing of earlier issues, with a 3+ margin Penny Black and some decent line-engraved issues, Edwards, George VI, George V, QEII etc. A total of 488 stamps, expect a few faults (especially in the earlier material), with obviously faulty stamps not counted. Owner's catalogue value at US$9346.70, but we have decided to put an conservative estimate on the group. Estimate = $450.00 $22.00
Great Britain #2. Fine used 3-margin example of the 1840 issue 2p blue imperforate issue. A well above average example of this British classic, much scarcer than the more well-known "Penny Black". 2024 Scott Classic US$975.00 = $1,316.25 $75.00
Great Britain #7. F/VF used example of the 1854 issue embossed 6p red violet, with "VR" watermark (wmk 19). Margins well clear, to just touching (on the bottom). A rare early Victorian issue, missing from most collections we see. 2024 Scott US$1,000.00 = $1,350.00 $24.00
Great Britain #16/951. Collection of 675 stamps, 1855-1981, QV to QEII mounted on "Bestelcode Victoria" pages. A mix of both mint and used material, mostly used in the earlier stamps, before shifting to mint (never hinged, in black mounts) in the QEII period. Expect the odd fault in the earlier material, but the owner's 2024 Scott adds up to US$3226.05 ($4355.00 CDN). Estimate = $350.00 $20.00
Great Britain #29, 30, 32, 58. Twenty-three used stamps (including most plate numbers, missing only 3 plates) from four different 1858-1870 issues. Generally F-VF used with no obvious faults. A very collectible group. 2023 Scott US$1240.00 = $1,674.00 $11.00
Great Britain #57a Plate #2. Used example of the 1867 issued 5 shilling pale rose QV high value, plate 2, watermark 26 (Maltese Cross). A couple of shorter perfs upper left, but a tough to find stamp, being both the sub-listed pale shade and Plate #2. 2024 Scott Classic US$1750.00 = $2,362.50 $65.00
Great Britain #90. Very Fine centered, but faulty (thin, crease) used example of the 1882 issue 5 shilling rose on bluish paper, Plate 4, watermark 31 (anchor). A very presentable example to fill that empty spot in your album, at a fraction of the catalogue value. 2024 Scott US$4700.00 = $6,345.00 $32.00
Great Britain #96. VF CDS used example of the 1883 issued 2sh6p violet Queen Victoria stamp, being a stunning used example, with "socked on the nose" Ballina, Feb 9th 1885 postmark. Well centered, with premium postmark (Scott footnotes declare a 25% premium for each of these aspects). 2024 Scott Classic US$277.50 = $374.60 $12.00
Great Britain #131/1161. Collection of 1902-1986 mint issues, Edward to mid-QEII period, neatly arranged within clear mounts, arranged on quadrille pages within a red Rapkin springback album. A well-organized showing of 1095 stamps, including regionals (Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) issues. A spot check shows that most of the stamps are Hinged, before leading to some Never Hinged material by the 1980's. A very clean showing for this period. 2024 Scott US$941.55 = $1,271.10 $10.00

Great Britain #142. Sound and Very Fine centered used example of the 1902 issue £1 blue green Edward VII high value. Premium readable "Registered, Liverpool" dated oval postmark. A very decent key Edwardian era stamp. 2024 Scott Classic US$825.00 = $1,113.75 $160.00

Estimate = $150.00 $28.00
Great Britain - Charity Offering. Rule Britannia, with this consignment balance. Starts with two volumes of computer-generated pages for (mostly) commemorative issues from 1978-2001 very full with used stamps. Next up is a couple of century-old postcard albums filled with about 475 mint and used cards, all seem to be pre-1920 (there are a few US and Hong Kong cards). There are several recent presentation packs along with an old book with hundreds of mint stamps lightly stuck (not hinged, but should be salvageable), total face value conservatively £70.00 between the two. Finally, there is some ephemera with two booklets with Will’s Cigarette cards (both "Wild Flowers") and a small pouch style photo album with about 35 assorted tobacco "silks". Benefits The Land Conservancy of BC (TLC). Estimate = $150.00 $13.00
Great Britain - Mint / Used "Gibbons" commemorative collection 1980-1993. A "dueling" mint (Never Hinged) and used collection, usually with the mint on the left, used on the right of each page opening. All neatly arranged in mounts (mint) or hinged / in mounts (used) within a deluxe padded Stanley Gibbons album. A very clean offering, largely complete for the period. There are also pages, but no stamps for the QEII Machin issues at the back. Very conservatively valued for the total usable postage value alone, but the used material here and the album adds substantially to the lot. Total face value £143.38 in Canadian Dollars = $256.60 $22.00
Great Britain - Mint / Used "Gibbons" commemorative collection 1993-2004. A "dueling" mint (Never Hinged) and used collection, usually with the mint on the left, used on the right of each page opening. All neatly arranged in mounts (mint) or hinged / in mounts (used) within a deluxe padded Stanley Gibbons album. A very clean offering, in which the mint far out-weighs the used (as to be expected, with modern used being tough to assemble). Very conservatively valued for the total usable postage value alone, but the used material here and the album adds substantially to the lot. Total face value £839.52 in Canadian Dollars = $1,502.45 $22.00
Great Britain - Mint / Used "Gibbons" commemorative collection 2010-2014. A "dueling" mint (Never Hinged) and used collection, usually with the mint on the left, used on the right of each page opening. All neatly arranged in mounts (mint) or hinged / in mounts (used) within a deluxe padded Stanley Gibbons album. This album was more of a "work in progress" which involves having a lower amount of used, and the mint often still in the Philatelic Bureau card (rather than being mounted on the page). Very conservatively valued for the total usable postage value alone, but the used material here and the album adds substantially to the lot. Total face value £416.09 in Canadian Dollars = $744.50 $22.00
Great Britain - Guernsey #615/1252. Very complete used collection covering 1998-2010 (and then a bit lighter coverage through 2014) lightly hinged to quadrille pages. Includes lots of miniature and souvenir sheets to go along with the great topical appeal for many issues. The majority appear to have originated philatelically with Post Office pictorial cancellations. The collectio is somewhat chronologically organized (annotated with Stanley Gibbons and Scott numbers), but at some point, spaces were filled in with random issues, which throws off the balance of the collection a bit. Some of the souvernir sheets are loose and tucked in-between the pages. None of this affects the quality and quantity of this lot. 2023 Scott US$969.70 = $1,309.10 $0.00
Great Britain - Guernsey - A well displayed mint hinged / never hinged (in black mounts) collection of 1053 stamps (including 17 souvenir sheets) from the 1958 to early 2000's period, arranged on quadrille pages within a Stanley Gibbons "Simplex" springback album. Mostly mint, with the odd used set present, being mostly Hinged material, arranged in mounts, eventually shifting to Never Hinged stamps by the 1980's. Well laid out and mounted with care by the previous owner. Total 2024 Scott US$830.45 = $1,121.10 $22.00
Great Britain - Isle of Man #12/1181. Comprehensive mint hinged collection of 1261 stamps including several souvenir sheets, all neatly arranged on quadrille pages within a binder. 342 British Offices in Morocco #43/208. Mint selection of KEVII and three "Seahorses" with six high values of the Spanish Currency issue, and the complete first set of the "Morocco Agencies" overprint (with no currency change). Very fresh appearance, but the backs are mixed, with most having heavy hinging or remnants, with the exception of the 10/- Seahorse, which is never hinged. The 12 pesetas overprint on the 10/- KEVII has an owner’s mark on the reverse. Total 2023 Scott catalogue value US$539.25 = $727.00 $15.00
British Offices in Morocco #71/514. King George V up to some 1940 Penny Black centenary issues. This collection is mounted on quadrilled pages in a beautiful 2-post Stanley Gibbons "Exeter" green binder. Ultra clean condition with good descriptions. Includes lots of "Seahorses", Coronation and Penny Black commemoratives. Includes some KEVIII pairs with the different overprint sizes. 346 British Offices in Morocco #531-545. Complete used King George VI set overprinted "Tangier" each used with a light circular date stamp cancel. This is the last definitive set of King George VI for Tangier, for which relatively few stamps were ever postally used. Beautiful and fresh, and not often seen, let alone in this condition. 2023 Scott US$365.25 = $493.09 $32.00
British Offices in Morocco - Balance of an estate, including album pages from several collections and a stockbook with a wholesale accumulation of King George V to Queen Elizabeth material. Overall, there is only a touch of QV and KEVII overprints, but with lots of KGV, KGVI, KEVIII and QEII, including commemoratives. Has some multiples, many of the used have light cancels. What sets this collection apart from others is the high-quality found throughout, not only in the early issues, but also the premium "modern" portion, which is very tough to put together in such completeness as this. About 90% complete for the period. Owner's 2021 Scott US$5379.05 = $7,261.70 $22.00
Ionian Islands #1-3. British protectorate in the Mediterranean, now part of Greece, depicting Queen Victoria. All mint, no gum with decent margins. Issued in 1859 this trio represents the full range of issues for this entity. 2023 Scott US$355.00 = $479.25 $10.00

While not complete it is very comprehensive with many of the scarcer stamps. An excellent collection to continue on with, in a premium "old school" album. 358 Japan #10/228. Pre-War collection of 169 stamps mounted on Ka-be album pages, including a good selection of 19th century issues, with some nice cancel potential and then a hit-or-miss offering to the 1939 National Park issue. More used than mint, individual items currently catalogue up to $25.00 each. This lot was catalogued years ago, and a quick look indicates that prices have often risen by up to 50% since then, but we are going to keep the original owners’ Scott catalogue value, so lots of upside when considering the value. Owner's older Scott US$596.00 = $804.60 $55.00
Japan #223/508b. 361 Japan #422a. Moronobu print of "Beauty looking Back" the 5 yen brown issue for philatelic week in 1948, in a sheet of five. Mint, very lightly hinged in the margins, and catalogued as such. One of the key Japanese souvenir sheets. 2023 Scott US$250.00 = $337.50 $13.00
Japan - Extensive collection in a pair of Scott Specialty binders (one full size, one narrow), with pages up to 1989. Starts with a very full run of 19th century, including some intriguing "Imperial Crest" issues, a mint example of #85 overprinted ("Specimen"), a good run of Chrysanthemums (including many different perforations). The issues through the 1920’s and onward are a mix of mint and used, with lots of National Parks. By the 1960’s the issues are still a mix of mint and used, but very complete and in mounts with the occasional souvenir sheet. The second volume contains "back of the book", with semi-postals, a few airmails and a very nice run of postal stationery cards and envelopes. Besides being a labour of love, this collector added cut squares, cancels, shades, even currency to spice up the pages. The catalogue value will be substantial, and the condition is in above-average condition. Both binders are in excellent condition, one has a repaired dustcover. Estimate = $450.00 $19.00
Japan - Balance of an accumulation. Includes issues back to the 19th century (including a tourist folder), with a nice run of 1920's-1930's mint sets and the "Beauty Looking Back" #422 (both mint and used). The collector had started to separate printings of the wartime issues and there are mostly mint issues from the letter writing week in the 1960s to a scattering of "new issues" up to 1984. There are a few scattered album pages and a small group of glassine envelopes with unsorted material. Includes some military occupation overprints, plus a touch of Manchukuo, Ryukyus and a few locals/revenues. A bit of duplication, and some mixed condition is to be expected. Estimate = $150.00 $32.00
Korea #132/2116. Mint assortment from 1951 to 2003, including better souvenir sheets, sets and singles that jump around by issue, rather than chronologically. Starts with four mint, never hinged, "flags" souvenir sheets honouring Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain (pro rata catalogue value $250.00). A complete set of the 1968 Mexico Olympics (the wrestling stamps are damaged, all the souvenir sheets are hinged - catalogue $140.00). The US Bicentennial set of 1976 is the next step onto a small wholesale lot of "new issues" most still in their original packaging from the 1990's-2003, with lots of souvenir sheets, blocks and sets, with individual items cataloguing up to $24.00 each. Great way to build out your collection. Estimate = $200.00 $22.00
Korea #321a/477a. Near complete run of 59 different souvenir sheets issued between 1961-1965, mounted in picture corners on quadrilled pages (they remove easily). Includes 1962 Revolution anniversary (in Korean), Scouting, Red Cross, Pictorials, Flowers, etc. All mint hinged and in decent condition. Total 2023 Scott US$512.75 = $691.21 $22.00
Korea #292/833. Pair of albums that have been partially stripped, but with lots of good mint material from the mid-1950's to 1972. The first is a Minkus album with matching slipcase and pages to 1972 with a good range of mint singles and sets (no souvenir sheets) from 1962-1972 noting the 1963-1964 "Musical Instruments", "NY World’s Fair", "Scenery" issues, Armed Forces vertical strip, 1969 "Space" strip of 5, C35-C38 airmail set and a very nice run of issues over this period. All are in owner added black mounts and a quick check indicates that everything is never hinged. The second is a Scott Specialty binder with blank/UN pages holding mint singles, blocks and the occasional first day cover for issues from 1955-1971. This time there are a few souvenir sheets, and again the condition appears to be quite nice. Both binders in reasonable condition, and the value will add up quickly. Estimate = $250.00 $0.00
Korea #353a/355b. All three iterations of the 1962 "Anniversary of the Revolution" souvenir sheets, in Korean, in English and in English with the "E" missing from "Postage". All mint with nice appearance. The Korean language set is never hinged, the other two are lightly hinged with a bit of gum wrinkling. Total 2023 Scott US$440.00 = $594.00 $10.00
Korea #417a/807a. Near complete run of 64 different souvenir sheets issued between 1965-1971, mounted in picture corners on quadrilled pages (they remove easily). Includes Animals, folklore, President Park 2nd term, moon landing, paintings, etc. All mint hinged and in decent condition. Total 2023 Scott US$553.75 = $747.56 $10.00
Malta #232/1252. Mostly mint stock, primarily covering 1946 to 1982 (and a bit later) with most issues having 3-15 copies each. Ready for expansion in 8 near-new Lighthouse stockbooks (7 are 32-page, 1 is 16-page, all white pages with "Maltese Green" coloured covers). A mix of hinged and never hinged, with some souvenir sheets (most are just singles). Includes better such as copies of the KGVI "Self Government" overprints, 3 copies each of the pound1 Royal Wedding and QEII 10/- and pound1 1956-57 definitives. Ready for expansion as the previous owner had laid out the books to cover #1 to #1500+. Includes a 2011 Stanley Gibbons Cyprus, Gibraltar and Malta catalogue. The retail value of the stockbooks is over $300.00 and the value of the contents will add up quickly. Estimate = $250.00 $32.00
Manchukuo #1/164, C1/C4. Nicely mounted starter collection of 110 mint and used stamps including airmails on Scott Specialty pages, with lots of "Pagoda/Pu-yi" issues (including most of the first issue and a complete mint set of the 1936-1937 set), and many of the commemoratives right up to the end of the war. Lots of readable cancels here and the overall condition is decent with only the occasional minor fault. Sought by collectors of Japan and China. Includes a manilla stockpage with about 10 stamps locally overprinted for use after the war in the North East provinces, not counted in the total catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$503.45 = $679.66 $28.00
Memel #1/99, C1/C29, N1/N114. Interesting collection of "Memel" overprints on French stamps used in formerly occupied Lithuania. A nice range of mint regular issues, airmails and some very nice Lithuanian occupation issues. More mint than used, but the used have some very nice cancels. Individual stamps with catalogue values up to $100.00. All in clear mounts on Schaubek album pages, but expect the mint to be hinged. 2023 Scott US$1177.90 = $1,590.17 $22.00
Mongolia and Tanna Tuva - Interesting selection of Mongolia (1920-1932) and Tanna Tuva (1927-1936) all neatly arranged and identified on stockpages. The Mongolia section includes 19 stamps (#33/74), with the #33 example overprinted (not listed, thus not counted). The Tanna Tuva is much more in-depth, with 138 stamps (#15/92) including many airmails (with some duplication). A mix of mint (mostly hinged) and used, widely collected now after being largely ignored for decades, this material once viewed as "packet mix" has really grown in appeal because of both the interesting region from which it comes, but also the large "odd shaped" stamps and vivid imagery. Total 2025 Scott US$534.65 = $721.75 $20.00
Netherlands Indies #1/330 plus Back of the Book. Terrific mostly used and remarkably complete collection mounted in a Davo album. Starts with both #1 and #2, followed by most of the King William III set (with some extra perforation varieties). There is good coverage through the Queen Wilhemena issues including revalues, overprints (including some inverted) and again some of the perforation varieties. Most of the overprints from the Java Industrial Fair are here. Other than the mint higher values from the "Indonesia" set of 1949, there isn’t much post-war material. Includes most of the semi-postals and air mails, with a decent offering of postage dues (most identified by type) and some nice officials plus a couple of Japanese occupation issues for the record. Overall, the condition looks excellent, and most are in black mounts with the Scott catalogue number penciled in below. Total 2023 Scott US$1683.80 = $2,273.13 $18.00
New Caledonia #6/121. Part 1 of a 3-part mounted collection of mostly mint issues up to 1912, including early overprints, a near full run of "Navigation and Commerce" issue, plus many of its various revaluations, followed by a small number of Jubilee overprints and additional overprints. Finishes with a page of the first run of the 1903 pictorial set and the 1912 revaluations. About 75 stamps in total, hinged. A very good start to your early French Pacific colonial collection. Total 2023 Scott US$568.85 = $767.95 $22.00
New Caledonia #122/341, B1/B14, C1/C34, J9/J31, O1-O13, Q1-Q6. Part 2 of a 3-part mounted collection of mostly mint issues from 1906 up to 1964. A mix of regular issues, lots of overprints and a good range of back of the book issues. Includes most of the 1928-1940 "long set" including parcel post overprints, and several "France Libre" overprints. There is a smattering of "Common Design" issues and a good start on the regular and airmail issues from the 1950s into the mid-1960s. Fresh, and most will end up being lightly hinged. About 215 stamps and one souvenir sheet. A very nice collection. Total 2023 Scott US$600.35 = $810.47 $32.00
New Caledonia #342/385, C35/C86. The final section of a 3-part mounted collection of mostly mint issues from 1964 to 1972 (but the pages go to 1980). A hit or miss offering of regular issues and airmails. Not a lot of stamps were issued during this stretch, but the catalogue value adds up quickly. Includes the "sports" issues with souvenir sheet, plus topical darlings such as "butterflies", "birds", "seashells", "space", "ships" and "Olympics". Fresh, and most will end up being lightly hinged. About 75 stamps and one souvenir sheet. A very nice group. Total 2023 Scott US$633.50 = $855.23 $16.00
New Zealand #7-9. Three of the four denominations of the imperforate, unwatermarked, 1857-1861 Queen Victoria Chalon issue. The 1d and 6d have nice "18" numeral cancellations, the 2d denomination has both a postal and a light pen cancellation. Each is a three-margin copy, in the usual condition you see these early issues. 2023 Scott US$1350.00 = $1,822.50 $19.00
New Zealand #9/15. Octet of imperforate "Chalon" issues with the 6d brown (unwatermarked, thin), with the balance having the "Star" watermark including the 2d, 5 copies of the 6d (including the red brown and with the possibility of more shades), finishing with the 1/- green. Much cleaner than normally seen and all with postal cancels (a couple might have identifiable numerals). Total 2023 Scott US$1375.00 = $1,856.25 $38.00
New Zealand #12/15. Nice sextet of the 2d to 1/- imperforate Chalon issue of 1862-63 with "Star" watermark 6. The 2d show both the "fresh" and "worn" plate, the 6d has two very distinct shades ("red-brown" and "brown"), plus a 4-margin example of the 1/- (the rest of the copies have 2+ margins or better). Usual minor faults but with "better than average" light postmarks. 2023 Scott US$905.00 = $1,221.75 $36.00
New Zealand #14e/241. Decent used collection of early New Zealand in a 60-year-old "Seven Seas" album. Starts with an attractive group of 11 "Chalons" with complete sets of both "Sideface" issues. There is a near complete set of the 1898 Pictorial issue (all the high values with postal cancels, including the 5/- Mt. Cook). KEVII and King George V definitives are near complete. The Victory issue and both the 2/- and 3/- "Admirals" (with usual parcel cancels), finishing with the 1935 definitives and 1940 Centennial. Very nice cancels are seen throughout, and the appearance is excellent, but some mixed condition is to be expected. Post-WWII issues are not counted and most of the collection is counted as the lowest value stamp (as it is a simplified collection). Total 2023 Scott US$2141.50 = $2,891.03 $10.00
New Zealand #16a. Scarce mint 1d orange-vermillion perforated 13 with the "Star" watermark 6 from 1863. As with most stamps of this era, the stamp has been hinged repeatedly and there is little original gum left. There are a couple of blunted perforations in the lower right corner and a minor crease in the upper right margin. Nice fresh impression on relatively thin paper (or a relatively strong watermark). 2024 Scott Specialized US$2850.00 = $3,847.50 $10.00
New Zealand #19/20. Study group with five copies of the 6d and 1/- "Chalon" with the "Star" watermark, perf 13. All with postal cancels and in far better condition than normally seen. The 1/- has and "11" numeral cancel and a partial "Otago" killer. A shading and plating study might be possible here. Total 2023 Scott US$1110.00 = $1,498.50 $22.00
New Zealand #31/41. Terrific study group of the 1864-1871 Chalons, all perforated 12-1/2 and with the "star" watermark. A total of 34 stamps, with up to seven of a type, better includes both colours of the 4d, and a couple of copies of the 1/-. Unchecked for cancels, shades, and all catalogued as the cheapest variant for each. While there will be some faults this group is in far better condition than normally seen for these issues. Total 2023 Scott US$1952.00 = $2,635.20 $100.00
New Zealand #51/164, P1. Over a dozen loose album pages that originated from two or three different collections, with an assortment of used issues from the mid-Victorian period to the end of the King George V definitives. Includes some Sidefaces, a nice group of 1898 Pictorials (the 5/- Mt. Cook has a postal cancel). Because of the overlap of the collections, there is a moderate amount of duplication, but it is unclear if items have been checked for the many printings of this era. There could also be some cancel potential. Individual stamps with catalogue values up to $400.00 each! Perfect for the student or dealer! Estimate = $250.00 $22.00
New Zealand #51/325. Two volumes of older manila-paged stockbooks with a substantial used stock of pre-decimal issues back to the First "Sideface" issue. Appears to be sorted by Stanley Gibbons numbers, with odd gaps though out (e.g. almost no 1898 Pictorials), but with other issues with up to 20 of a type. Lots of $5.00-$25.00 items everywhere you look, and lots of readable cancels. We expect that there will be mixed condition throughout. This holding has been tucked away for almost 50 years. Thousands of stamps and lots of potential. Estimate = $250.00 $10.00
New Zealand #56/352. Randomly selected (mostly) used singles on a couple of stock pages with individual gems, "lookers" and some that need deciphering. Noted the Shakleton Expedition overprints (#121A), a nice Victoria Land overprint (#130D mint), 1/2d Auckland Exhibition overprint (#130E), The Dunedin Exhibition set used, two examples of the 3/- Admiral and the two low values from the Christchurch Exhibition set with show cancels! Some of the better 19th century material includes some "Sidefaces" with nice cancels and 9 with ads on the back (most are 3d to 6d denominations). There are six copies of the 5/- Mount Cook from the 1898 Pictorial issue and despite having postal cancels five of them have embossing indicating revenue usage. The condition is mixed, and many of the earlier would benefit from a soaking. Enormous catalogue value and eye appeal. Cancels, printings, perforations are all unchecked. Estimate = $250.00 $22.00
New Zealand #59-60. Both high values from the first side face issue of 1878, nicely used with light circular date stamp cancels. Both are clean copies, the only flaw being a wrinkle at the bottom of the 2/- value (the 5/- denomination has no flaws). Usual poor centering that was typical for those early issues. 2023 Scott US$950.00 = $1,282.50 $10.00
New Zealand - A "Motley Crew" of 25 assorted Queen Victoria "Chalon" issues, most with obvious faults like tears, trims, thins (one has a pinhole), but there could be cancels, shades, and various printings that haven’t been identified. From a dormant that hasn’t been seen in 50 years! The catalogue value will be enormous, but we have estimated these based on condition. Conservatively estimated at $6.00 per stamp. Estimate = $150.00 $10.00
New Zealand - Pre-decimal used collection on black pages in a black binder. Includes a couple of attractive 6d imperforate "Chalons", a nice page of "Sidefaces", 1898 Pictorials up to the 2/- Milford Sound, King Edward VII, a range of King George V issues including a nice 3/- Admiral with a non-parcel postal cancel. Issues become hit or miss up to 1966. For the pre-1920 issues there are often 2 (or more) copies of each stamp, and we haven’t verified if that is for different perforations, cancels (and there are a number of readable cancels), etc. A few revenue cancels are noted among the earlier. A previous owner had catalogued this lot at $3036.00, but we don’t know when or which catalogue was used. A solid deal at our estimated value. Estimate = $250.00 $13.00
New Zealand - Specialization and stock, with a nicely laid out group of stockpages where the collector has started organizing used Victorian to King George V material by Stanley Gibbons numbers, including a good attempt at the complex Commerce and Dominion issues. Has denominations up to 1/- and up to five copies of each, with some readable cancels. The stock part is a series of black dealer cards, with an unrelated selection of issues including the Shackleton Expedition overprint (used), 1d Victoria Land (mint), KGV definitives, 1935 issue, etc. The condition is expected to be a bit mixed, but the catalogue value will be substantial. Estimate = $180.00 $32.00
New Zealand - The "Motley Crew II" this time with 22 assorted Queen Victoria "Chalon" issues, most with obvious faults like tears, trims, thins, but there could be cancels, shades, and various printings that haven’t been identified. From a dormant that hasn’t been seen in 50 years! The catalogue value will be enormous, but estimated based on condition. Estimated at $6.00 per stamp. Estimate = $130.00 $44.00
New Zealand and Ross Dependencies - Fascinating estate balance including a pair of collections in Stanley Gibbons binders (one old, the other older). There are album pages from several older collections, some dealer cards/glassines and loose material. No QV Chalons but noted lots of issues from Queen Victoria to King George VI and only a bit of decimal material. Expect duplication, variable condition in places to go along with the better items (saw Shackleton Expedition overprint #121A used - cat $67.50) and there is significant potential amongst the 1898 Pictorials, etc. Other than the early Ross Dependencies issues there didn’t appear to be much other back of the book. This should keep you busy for the winter! Estimate = $250.00 $24.00
Portuguese India #20/412 plus Back of the Book. Mounted collection of 200+ different stamps on old Yvert pages. Decent coverage throughout, with lots of "Carlos" issues, perforated in the middle, "Repulica" overprints, postage due, war tax and postal tax issues. Condition is mixed, as is often seen, but lots of really nice examples noted throughout. Ignore the catalogue notations as they are circa 1980. Total 2023 Scott US$1597.75 = $2,156.95 $10.00
Rhodesia #17/140. Balance of an old holding of Rhodesian issues that we have been breaking up. This group has material that wouldn’t stand as its own lot, revenue cancels, duplicates, etc. There are three "British South Africa Co" overprints on Cape of Good Hope issues (#44, 47 (rounded corner), 49) followed by eight used stamps from the Victoria Falls issue (these catalogue over $300.00). There are fifteen attractive revenue usages (cancel, perfin and sometimes both), including the 5/-, 7/6 and £1.00 "Double Heads" and Coat of Arms issues up to £5 (#74, catalogues $125 as a revenue usage). There is a nice batch of loose Coat of Arms, mostly the 1897-1908 sets, with denominations to £2.00. Some mixed condition here, but there will be fun for the collector of classic British Africa. Estimate = $200.00 $22.00
Rhodesia #26/56. Mixed used accumulation of both designs of the round "Coat of Arms" issues from 1896 and 1897. Some denominations were only available in the earlier set, the others are differentiated by the ribbons either going behind the animals’ legs or looping before them. This is a fine study group, unpicked for printings, shades and a few nice cancels are noted. Up to 15 of a denomination, better includes the 10/- (#39 - catalog $75.00), 3/- (2 copies at $47.50 each), 2/6 (3 copies at $65.00 each). Over 100 stamps in total. Estimate = $150.00 $10.00
Rhodesia #82/100. Assortment of used British South Africa Co. "Coat of Arms" issue overprinted "Rhodesia" with most values represented and making for a great study opportunity as there are obvious shade differences and some nice cancels. Better stamps include the £2.00 and two copies of the £1.00, followed by three copies of the 7/6 denomination, all appearing to be postally used (these alone catalogue $670.00). Expect a bit of mixed condition. From a very old hoard. Estimate = $200.00 $10.00
Rhodesia #101/111. Double Heads" wholesale used, covering most of the denominations issued in the 1/2d to 1/- range. There are obvious shade differences and some of the 1d denominations were noted to be perf 13-1/2 (unchecked by us and not catalogued as such). Because of its beautiful design, depicting King George V and Queen Mary, and the multitude of printings, this is one of the most popular British Commonwealth issues of the 20th century. This is a bit of a mixed condition lot, and some have significant faults. The whole lot could use a soaking. Check out some of the great cancels, such as the "Eldorado Mine" cancel on a pair of 1d. Catalogued as the cheapest variant in Scott, so plenty of upside once sorted. 2023 Scott US$681.00 = $919.35 $28.00
Rhodesia #119/133a. "Admiral" design used wholesale lots covering most of the denominations from the 1/2d to 2/6. At first glance there is potential for shade and cancel study, and the lot appears to be unchecked for the various perforations that abound. The lot is in mixed condition, and many would benefit from a soak. Catalogued as the cheapest variant for each, so plenty of upside once sorted. Conservative 2023 Scott US$547.00 = $738.45 $11.00
Saar - Mounted collection of mint (mostly hinged) and used issues from 1920 to about 1958, with overprints on French issues and some nice "back of the book" en-route to the post-war issues. A few hundred stamps, with some duplication for both mint and used, plus the collector had an eye for shades and minor varieties (most not Scott listed). Most are mounted in clear mounts on Schaubek album pages. The mounts don’t always keep the stamps from getting loose, so there is a bit of "free range" material here. Estimate = $140.00 $10.00
Saint Pierre and Miquelon - Stunning VF proof on light card stock of the 1932-1933 "Fishing Steamer and Sea Gulls" issue, non-denominated in light green and black. Ex. Tillard and signed. A wonderful collateral / printers stock item for any St.P&M or ship topical collector. Estimate = $150.00 $16.00
Somalia #10/169. Selection of 42 different mint (hinged) stamps from the 1906-1934 period, including "Benadir" and overprinted Italian issues. Uncommon material, which we don't see too much of. 2025 Scott US$291.40 = $393.40 $38.00
St Pierre et Miquelon #79/1089. A largely mint (and largely Never Hinged) selection of 150 stamps from the 1909-2020 period, accumulated as part of a Fisheries / Fishing topical themed collection. Neatly arranged on five pages, the majority is Never Hinged, but expect the earlier issues to be Hinged. Lots of better individual stamps throughout, including "Back of the Book" airmail and postage due issues. 2025 Scott US$941.85 = $1,271.50 $140.00
Sweden #8/1672. Stunning 1858-1988 used collection of 1637 stamps, neatly arranged on Scott album pages (no binder), tastefully duplicated at times (often to showcase postmarks). Includes regular issues, but also Airmail, Postage Dues, Officials and booklet panes. Of particular note, is 120 examples of #39 selected for the town cancels (you can tell much of this collection was put together with cancel interest in mind). Expect the odd small fault, but overall a very clean group, offered here as received from a local estate. 2025 Scott US$3371.75 = $4,551.85 $12.00
Sweden #213-228. Complete mint hinged / hinge remnant set of the 1924 (2nd) UPU series, with the "Post Rider Watching Airplane" and the "Carrie Pigeon" designs. Good appearance, reasonably centered, but a couple minor perf faults noted. The 50ore stamp has a small thin, but still looks great from the front. One of the great 20th century Scandinavian sets. 2023 Scott US$684.25 = $923.74 $12.00
Sweden #263/848 plus Back of the Book. Mint collection of 403 stamps, including booklets and semi-postals 1936-1969, all neatly arranged and identified on stockpages. Most of the material appear to be either Never Hinged, or (in the case of some of the earlier material, Lightly Hinged). Lightly duplicated, with one "odd ball" in the crowd being a 1874 Postage Due issue. Clean material. 2025 Scott US$595.85 = $804.40 $10.00
Switzerland - A collector's used accumulation of "earlies to modern" assembled on 10 stockpages, with clear emphasis on collecting stamps with clear postmarks. While not a comprehensive run, there are pockets of interest here including pre-1900 regular issues, semi-postals, postage dues etc. In need of a further sort, which should prove to be fruitful. Estimate = $130.00 $10.00
Tristan Da Cunha #13/177. A tough to assemble all-used selection of 157 stamps from the QEII 1953-1972 period, neatly laid out on a Hagner stocksheet and quadrille pages. Very tidy selection, including the 1954-1958 QEII Pictorial series (#14-27) and the 1960 QEII Pictorial (#28-41). Used material can be tougher to find than the mint counterpart. 2024 Scott US$252.45 = $340.80 $16.00
Ukraine - Collection of 2022 / 2023 Patriotic War issues, with both mint (never hinged) stamps / souvenir sheets, but also FDC / postcards and more! An exceptional and rare offering, which includes the scarce "Russian War Ship" (in both denominations), the "Dog Patron" issues and a "philatelic first", being a QR code on postcard that ca be scanned to listen to a short war story. All neatly arranged in a custom Lighthouse album (the empty album alone retails online for US$129.95). Only a few of these custom prepared collections are available, ranging from US$1300.00 to US$2000.00 each. A wonderful opportunity to acquire these issues and pieces of history as they happen. A total of 34 miniature sheets and 61 postcards / covers. Estimate = $1,000.00 $26.00
United Nations - Banker’s box filled with covers, presentation folders and some stamps from the early issues up to the early 1980’s. Includes a few hundred first day covers from 3 or 4 cachet makers, a big handful of first flight covers (mostly originating from New York City). The presentation folders and year sets go from 1963-1981 and include New York and Geneva (expect a bit of duplication). The stamps are partially on album pages, but most are unmounted. Substantial original cost and effort went into assembling this. A bit out of the ordinary for these types of UN estate remnants. Estimate = $140.00 $10.00
United States #11/2428. Dealer’s stock that was in the process of being established, but never saw a show table. Four red boxes filled with approximately 3500 "102" cards. There is a bit of 19th century material, including mint (both original gum and no gum) and used, includes some better, but condition is an issue. The early 20th century includes some Washington/Franklin and Bureau issues, coils (including line pairs) which could have some sleepers hiding here. From the 1930’s to the 1980’s, most of the items are a single mint stamp in a card, followed by a bit of "back of the book". Almost all have Scott numbers and retail prices penciled in. Most are common, but the face value will add up, and the value of the supplies used here alone is about $250.00. Estimate = $200.00 $55.00
United States #25/276. Better than usual octet of select used mid-to-late 19th century issues with #25, 76, 113, 145, 148, 152, 260 and 276. Most with light clean cancels and only the occasional minor fault noted. 2023 Scott US$897.50 = $1,211.63 $26.00
United States #143. Used example of the 1870 Alexander Hamilton 30c black "H" grill stamp. The stamp is a space filler as it has a horizontal crease through the middle of the stamp and a rounded upper left corner. Still, a very uncommon US issue, missing from most collections. 2023 Scott US$3750.00 = $5,062.50 $26.00
United States #O1/O41. Quintet of early mint Official stamps, including the 1c orange Department of Agriculture (O1), the 1c-3c vermillion Department of the Interior (O15-O17) and the 12c ultramarine Navy Department (O41). All have original gum and hinge remnants. Fresh appearance and usual mixed centering. Total 2023 Scott US$765.00 = $1,032.75 $26.00
United States #O25/O30. 1873 Department of Justice quartet including the 1c, 2c, 10c and 12c denominations. Fresh appearance, but a couple of pulled perforations are noted. The 1c has minor adhesion on the back, the 2c with a bit of offset, and all have hinge remnants. Still, a very tough group to find. Total 2023 Scott US$1130.00 = $1,525.50 $13.00
United States #O55/O58. Trio of 1873 Officials with the 30c Post Office Department (O55) and the 1c and 2c green "Department of State" issues (O57-O58). All are mint with original gum and hinge remnants, with the 30c having a pencil mark on the back. Decent appearance. Total 2023 Scott US$770.00 = $1,039.50 $13.00
United States #O72/O118. A group of mint 1870’s official stamps with very mixed condition. The O73 (1c brown Treasury), O90 (15c War Department) and O118 (10c War Department) are in decent condition with original gum. The rest have faults including thins, trimming, no gum, etc. All have hinge remnants. Total 2023 Scott US$715.00 = $965.25 $13.00
United States #PR9/PR81. A quartet of early newspaper stamps with PR9 (2c mint original gum), PR15 (10c no gum), PR17 (24c no gum) from the 1875 issue and PR81 (1c mint original gum) from the 1885 set. Nice fresh appearance, with intact perforations. The original gum items are heavily hinged, but that is often found on stamps of this era. Scott prices these both with original gum and with no gum. Total 2023 Scott US$880.00 = $1,188.00 $13.00
United States #PR16. Mint example of the 12c rose 1875 issued Newspaper Stamp, "Justice" design, with full original gum (hinged and much crackling). Its only two flaws are that it might have been adhered to interleaving, which has left smooth patches in the gum, and there is a black speck on the front upper left "shield". The perforations are in decent condition. A tough early US "back of the book" item. 2023 Scott US$800.00 = $1,080.00 $13.00
United States #RW4/RW54. Hunting "Duck Stamp" assortment with a couple early issues properly signed and used, one with no gum and then a wholesale group of 1980's / early 1990's mint never hinged issues, including a couple of blocks. Significant original cost. A couple of the badly damaged early issues are not counted in the total catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$492.50 = $664.88 $11.00
United States - A "Back of the Book" assortment of 14 mint and used stamps, including Airmail (C9), Special Delivery (E2, E7), Postage Due (J6, J24, J25), Official (O28, O62, O95), Newspaper (PR103 - cut cancel), Parcel Post (Q8), Parcel Post Postage Due (JQ2, never hinged but bit of offset) and Revenue (RD31-no gum, not counted, RS295). Expect the mint to be heavily hinged, there are a couple with some perforation damage, but still a very interesting offering. Total 2023 Scott US$1067.00 = $1,440.45 $10.00
United States - A very interesting consignment balance, with a very diverse group of mostly 20th century material. It starts with a 12c Shanghai overprint on a Washington (only a touch of original gum) followed by some battered Hunting/Duck stamps and other revenues with potential, lots of nicer on-paper high values and sheetlets (circa 2000). There is assorted postage throughout, at least US$50.00 worth. There is a mint sheet file with large blocks, mostly from the 4c-5c era, but noted some back to the early 1930’s. A Scott Specialty binder is full of US postal stationery and cut squares (noted 3 mint copies of the "Grant" letter card). Plus, loose albums and material. Estimate = $180.00 $10.00
United States - Banker’s box with over 1000 cacheted First Day Covers (including a few event covers) from the 1930’s to about 1970. Noted better issues like Prexie, National Park, Famous Americans and a few War Issues (including a couple with patriotic labels). Almost all are #8 sized, with a couple larger items like FDR, 1964 New York World Fair and a FDC ceremony card. Most are Artcraft cachets but noted Stahle and others which are unnamed. Most of the duplication is for different cachets for a single issue. A nice clean lot. Estimate = $180.00 $0.00
United States - High-grade kiloware from mail mostly sent to an American dealer, mostly in the 1990’s. Very heavy commemorative content, with a good range of "Eagles" up to $14.75 (including multiples up to 8 copies and plate blocks), a number of "Space Exploration" issues up to $11.75, and probably a couple dozen "Trans-Mississippi" reproduction souvenir sheets. There are several large pieces with transportation coil strips. The majority of this material is hand cancelled. The only minor annoyance is that there is a handful of small, but complete bubble-pack envelopes which don’t add much to this lot. Focus on the positive which is everywhere in this well filled bankers box, and you will be thrilled. Estimate = $150.00 $10.00
United States - Mint coil hoard, with the majority in pairs or small strips. Most are 1960’s through the transportation and Famous American’s issues with a bit of "Flag" material. Lots of line pairs, didn’t see any plate numbers, but there is a lot here that is difficult to access. Its "extra" feature is several roll-end labels listing the denomination and quantity of the issue. All housed in an old Schaubek divided page stockbook. Most appear to be never hinged. Heavy duplication. We conservatively estimated the face value at US$185.00 ($249.75 CDN). Estimate = $200.00 $0.00
United States - What do you get when you put duplicates in poorly sorted and marked window envelopes with better values peeking out at every turn? Fun and bargains. This estate holding includes a narrow shoebox full of old banking envelopes that has material sorted roughly by decade (up to 2000) with little guidance as to its contents. While there does not seem to be any "back of the book", what we did note includes mint 5c Viking and $5.00 Prexie, plus a handful of blocks (much of the 1932 Washington set) and plate blocks, with a couple complete booklets. The used is probably larger, and there is a Blackjack, Columbus to 10c, a glassine with a bunch of Nebraska/Kansas overprints, and a small quantity of precancels. Not everything is found where it should be, there is lots of common material and a moderate amount of duplication. Expect much of the mint material to be hinged. Estimate = $160.00 $10.00
United States - Canal Zone #4/20. Selection of mint and used issues overprinted on American and Panamanian issues around 1904, with some overprint typeset and colour varieties and with some values offered with both mint and used. Better stamps noted include #7, 13d, 18b (all mint). 2023 Scott US$572.00 = $772.20 $13.00
United States - Canal Zone #21/69. A pair of pages with "Canal Zone" overprints, most on Panama’s "Balboa" issue, with different printings and overprints. Most of the stamps are used, a few include both mint and used examples, and the collector has added some items that he found interesting (possibly shades), which we have counted as the basic item. Overall condition is decent, but some small faults to be expected. Total 2023 Scott US$405.50 = $547.43 $13.00
United States - Canal Zone #70/165. A quartet of stock pages with the balance of the "Canal Zone" stamps issued under US Administration. Starts with the "flat top" overprints on the Bureau issue, a mix of mint and used to the dollar, followed by the "pointed top" overprints. In the local designs that appeared in the 1930’s, there is most of the "Anniversary" set, plus some later coil line strips of 4 and three booklet panes (two mint and one used (no tab)). Inexplicably a few of the cheaper items have no gum, but the overall quality is quite nice. Total 2023 Scott US$776.50 = $1,048.28 $10.00
United States - Canal Zone #U6/U23, UC3/UC14, UX1/UX17, UXC1/UXC4. Nice postal stationery collection of issues under American administration, including regular issue and air mail envelopes of different types, sizes. The best is the early postal cards including a mint copy of UX1 and used copies of UX2 and UX4. Quite complete, more mint than used, and many of the later used are first day cancelled. Includes a Penalty envelope and we noted only a couple of duplicates. Most are individually identified. Owner's older Scott US Specialized Catalogue US$306.70 = $454.55 $0.00
United States - Cuba #221/237, J1-J5, E1-E7. Black stockpage with stamps overprinted during US Administration, and a few issues stretching into the early Republic period. Duplication is either when there is mint and used or if there is a shade (some not Scott listed). The "back of the book " includes E1 (no gum, counted as used) and nice examples of E2 and J1 & J4 mint. Total 2023 Scott US$369.20 = $498.42 $10.00
United States - Hawaii #29/82. Sorry, no Missionary issues, but still a very worthwhile group of mint and used issues from 1864-1899 including a nice used set of the 1864-1868 Royal Family, both 1875 printings (no gum) and a used single of #36. The 1880’s Royal Family sets include some shades, with some nice postmarks noted. The 5c Kalakaua (perf 12) has no gum, but a very nice wide margin. The 1890’s issues and the Kahului Railroad Local stamp are not counted in the total catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$981.50 = $1,325.03 $32.00
United States - Hawaii #53/73. Group of "Provisional Govt. 1893" overprints on two different issues. A total of nineteen different stamps represented here, including a mint example of each, and used copies of both blue shades (#58 & #59). The example of the 10c black #61 has no gum and #62 has a bit of selvage imprint, but album offset on the reverse (not counted). The two nicest stamps are the high values #72 and #73. There are a few obvious perforation faults here and there, but overall a very nice grouping. 2023 Scott US$577.50 = $779.63 $22.00
United States - Hawaii #57a. F/VF used example of the 2c dull violet "Queen Lilioukalani" with red "Provisional Govt. 18 3" overprint (missing the "9" in the year). A fine to very fine used example with a light cancel at the left hand side. A key variety of these popular overprints. 2023 Scott US$900.00 = $1,215.00 $32.00
United States - Hawaii #U1/U13, UX1/UX9a, UY1/UY4. Beautiful postal stationery lot that goes beyond Scott! Includes shades, paper colours and thicknesses, Provisional Government 1893 overprints, and a nice offset on the inside of U13. Overall, this is a very complete offering. The only used item is UX9a Honolulu to Germany in 1899 (corner crease). The four reply cards have the message separated from the reply (unfortunately the way that Hawaiian cards were collected at the time and is reflected in the catalogue value). Owner's older Scott US Specialized Catalogue US$929.00 = $1,254.15 $11.00
United States - Phillipines #39/462 plus Back of the Book. Collection that stretches from the Spanish administration, through the US Administration, the Commonwealth period, Japanese occupation and finally the Victory issues at the end of World War II. Best is the US stamps overprinted "Philippines" from the early 20th century, mint copies of #252 and #253 and a used copy of #273m along with a couple of booklet panes and some nice back of the book, including Special Delivery, Postage Due. All mounted in clear mounts on Scott Specialty pages in a regular sized binder in quite nice condition (expect the mint the be hinged). A quick survey indicates that the condition is above average. The only duplication seems to be where there is both a mint and used example or a multiple. Bonus material is some postal stationery (both entires and cut squares) plus a few revenues worth about $100.00 not counted in the total catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$1842.30 = $2,487.11 $10.00
United States - Puerto Rico #1/216. Collection of 19th century issues flowing from Spanish Administration through overprints on United States issues (including postage dues). A very good run, with most either mint (hinged) or used, but with a bit of duplication for cancels, shades or for items to be mint AND used. Better includes a nice copy of #133 with a socked on the nose cancel, and lots of Alphonse XII and XIII issues plus later American issues with different angled overprints. Includes some mint postal stationery and used revenues not counted in the total catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$709.80 = $958.23 $10.00
United States - Virgin Islands #R32/R42, RF1-RF3. A seldom seen revenue stamp group for the US Virgin Islands (formerly Danish West Indies)? This group of 13 different includes 10 internal revenue issues (9 mint, 1 used) and all three Playing Card revenues (of which 10,000 of each were ever produced)! The appearance is generally excellent. The mint Internal Revenue issues have a mix of gum condition and the $2.00 has significant black album offset to it, but that is the only real flaw in the lot. The three Playing Card issues have no gum, as would be expected for a used revenue. Total 2023 Scott US$540.00 = $729.00 $11.00
United States Covers - Banker’s box of mostly flight-related covers. Starting with a shoe box with a few hundred covers circa 1976 including an incomplete set of the Smithsonian Institute "Milestones of Flight" (some are missing, others have up to 4 copies), followed by an Alaska-heavy group of flight and flight anniversary covers (and a few earlier Naval-related covers may have slipped in). There is a binder of "Apollo" program covers from 1965-1972, with about 90 mostly different, including recovery vessels, significant dates, etc. There is a bit sparsely populated "White Ace" style cover album with Air Mail issue first day covers and a few more space related covers. The lot finishes with a binder of air mail related postal stationery items (mostly envelopes and air letters, more mint than used). Estimate = $140.00 $10.00
USA #71. Fine used example of the 1861 issue 30c orange Franklin (no grill). Decently centered and nicely cancelled for this tough stamp. Very minor perf-bend (upper right corner), mentioned "for the record". 2024 Scott US$250.00 = $337.50 $14.00
USA #99. The rare 1867 issue 24c gray-lilac Washington with the elusive "F" grill. Fine centering for the issue with a reasonable CDS / "bullseye" cancel. A couple of extremely minor perf irregularities and sheet-margin straight-edge on right, stated for the record only. This is a very scarce stamp, missing from most collections. 2024 Scott US$1,600.00 = $2,160.00 $14.00
USA #113-117, 119. Choice used offering of six different values from the 1869 "Declaration of Independence" with G Grill. Mostly fine centered, including a few with much better postmarks than usually seen. 2024 Scott US$753.00 = $1,016.55 $26.00
USA #120. The 1869 issue 24c green and violet 1869 issue "Declaration of Independence" with G grill. Usual centering and heavyish cancel but otherwise sound and Fine used. 2024 Scott US$650.00 = $877.50 $22.00
USA #151. F-VF used example of the 1870 issue 12c dull violet Henry Clay. White wove paper, no grill. Light red cork cancel. 2024 Scott US$200.00 = $270.00 $14.00

USA #162, 163. Duo of F/VF used high-values (12c blackish violet and 15c yellow orange) from the 1873 Continental Bank Note Company printed series. Very reasonable examples of these tougher to find stamps. 2024 Scott US$300.00 = $405.00 $0.00
USA #218. Fine unused (no gum) example of the 1888 issue 90c purple Commodore Perry high value. Fresh and vibrant deep colour. 2024 Scott US$250.00 = $337.50 $26.00
USA #240. Fine mint Hinged example of the 1893 issued 50c Columbian Exposition issue in attractive and sound condition. 2024 Scott US$300.00 = $405.00 $10.00

Trio of /VF 1861-1862 Jefferson Davis / Thomas Jefferson imperforate confederate states issues including the 5c green (#1), the 10c blue (#2) and the 10c rose (#5). All with imperfections (cut in, small thin), but very showable examples of these elusive stamps. 2024 Scott US$755.00 = $1,019.25 $22.00
USA Confederate States #8. VF used example of the 1863 printed 2c brown Red Andrew Jackson issue. A very nice example of this issue, with tidy CDS cancel. 2024 Scott US$350.00 = $472.50 $11.00

All better items, which would retail in the $10-$50 each range. Estimate = $150.00 $11.00

Worldwide - A few thousand stamps compiled in an "Around the World in 100 stockpages" collection, which (as the name implies) is approximately 100 stockpages, with mint and used worldwide stamps, neatly arranged by country within two binders (one of the binders is a deluxe philatelic album, with slipcase, similar to the Lighthouse brand deluxe album). Several better items and a wealth of sets and topicals mixed in throughout, perfect for keeping what you need and selling / trading the rest. A trio of Unisafe / Lighthouse stockbooks, containing three very different offerings, combined as a balance of consignment to intrigue and delight the worldwide sorter. The second is a used stock of Canada, with a few thousand neatly arranged stamps from the #1237-1804 period, all in a 32-page Unisafe stockbook. The third instalment is a wonderful accumulation of mint and used British Commonwealth material, mostly from the George VI / QEII period (but noted earlier) sorted by country into a 48-page Unisafe stockbook. Lots here to have fun with, with three decent stockbooks to hold it all. Estimate = $200.00 $18.00
Worldwide - Bankers box loaded full with about 19 lbs of "off paper" and "on paper", with the latter being single close-cut paper, mostly modern kiloware. A year's worth of fun sorting through this one! Estimate = $150.00 $10.00

Three of the boxes are filled with "102" cards, with mostly QEII-era material, more mint than used, and often one stamp per sleeve. Mostly more common material but saw some nice Pitcairn Islands with sets to $10.00 catalogue value. Probably 1500-2000 cards, each lightly penciled, perfect for reuse. The fourth box has envelopes and sleeves sorted by country, this time with lots of Queen Victoria to King George VI. Offered as received from an estate in which we have found is often having surprises hiding. Certainly good looking "classic" material. Estimate = $250.00 $50.00

Worldwide - Charity Offering. Banker’s box of fun and exploration. Two large binders and a bundle of envelopes with a few thousand stamps sorted by country, almost all 20th century (it looks like there is cancel potential amongst the KGVI British Commonwealth material). We have to start with one of the more unusual items that we have ever been consigned: KEVII-era Cape of Good Hope kiloware! - mostly 1/2d and 1d stamps on small piece and there is 670g of it here, unpicked as far as we can tell, noting many readable cancels. The supplies include a pair of brown stockbooks: 64-page Davo (black pages), 32-page "Ideal" (white pages) with some African material inside. There is also 80 manila stockpages in good condition and filled with worldwide stamps (lots of Canada and US). The balance of the banker’s box is filled with loose album pages, a couple of packages of "Fold-O-Hinges", etc. Benefits The Land Conservancy of BC (TLC). Estimate = $160.00 $22.00
Worldwide - Estate Offering, Part 1. British Commonwealth A-Z accumulation. An old-time offering of 10,284 (yes, they were counted) seemingly all-different stamps hinged on home-made pages within 8 binders, filling a bankers box. A mix of mint and used, with the majority being used and while there won't be many of the $50.00+ catalogue value stamps, there are hundreds of better $5.00-$10.00 catalogue value stamps throughout. As part of a local estate offering, the second half being the non-commonwealth material is also offered in this sale. A great opportunity for the world collector or show/club dealer. The pictures show a representative stamp of some of the pages. Estimate = $600.00 $150.00
Worldwide - Estate Offering, Part 2. The "World A-Z" (no British Commonwealth, see previous lot) accumulation of 28,001 stamps (yes, we counted) arranged on homemade pages within 18 binders, filling two bankers boxes. While both mint and used are present, these are predominantly used. While the $50.00+ catalogue value stamps might be few and far between, there are hundreds of $5.00-$10.00 catalogue value stamps throughout. Offered as part of a local estate, with the British Commonwealth material being offered as the previously listed lot. A great opportunity for the worldwide collector or show/club dealer to break apart. Estimate = $1,000.00 $130.00
Worldwide - Have you been wanting an easy avenue to becoming a topical dealer, a dealer of smaller Middle-Eastern countries, or both? This trio of glassine boxes may be right for you. Flags, art, Olympics, fish, butterflies, motor sports, stamp on stamp, space, cats, Scouting, Expo, etc. etc. Countries seen include Ajman, Umm al Qiwain, Manama, Fujeira and Sharjah. Late 1960’s-early 1970’s, most are cancelled to order, with one set per glassine, and usually 2-5 of each set. There is some aging of the glassines, but the contents are in good shape. Conservatively 1000 sets here with most having catalogue values that range from $3.00 - $10.00. The total will add up very quickly. Estimate = $150.00 $36.00
Worldwide - High-grade kiloware from mail mostly sent to an American dealer, mostly in the late 1990s into the early 2000s. At first blush there is lots of commemorative, souvenir sheets, panes/larger blocks and higher value material from the United States and Canada, but with many other countries represented. As this material originated with a stamp dealer, some earlier on-paper material is present. We haven’t gone into this in depth but noted lots of modern day gems with lots of catalogue value. The vast majority is hand cancelled. Happy sorting and soaking! Estimate = $150.00 $30.00
Worldwide - Large carton filled with an array of material including old albums with stamps, stockpages with stamps, bundles full of stamps, etc. Mostly an old-time accumulation, probably 1950's-1960's vintage. Just as received from the consignor, about 40 lbs total weight. Estimate = $150.00 $22.00
Worldwide - Malaya / Malay Peninsula / North Borneo selection on stockpages, including both mint and used. Lots of better usable material here, the best being the North Borneo #J50-J54, cancelled, but not expertized (as many of these used sets were actually cancelled to order). Estimate = $120.00 $10.00
Worldwide - Original Artwork. Playfully fabricated fantasy postal history produced by the artist and author Nick Bantock. An original work of art, this cover made to appear originating from Azerbaijan is marked "Very Personal" & "Rescued from CRASH" is a "one of" item by the artist. Scan shows both front and back of piece. Estimate = $150.00 $18.00
Worldwide - Scandinavian "catch-all", aptly named as most of these issues were specifically collected for the Fish or Fishing themed topical collection. Group of 10 packed stocksheets (5 double sided pages), with Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Greenland and Faroe Islands. Noted singles, sets, blocks and booklets with many better individual items. Expect most of the earlier (pre-1950) material to be Hinged, then largely Never Hinged after that. Catalogue value would add up very quickly. Estimate = $150.00 $26.00
Worldwide - Seals, labels, revenues half filling a banker’s box. Strength is in US Christmas Seals, including singles back to 1907 and complete sheets starting in the 1920’s all up to the 1980’s, with the occasional bit of supporting ephemera along the way, including a start at specialization, such as progressive proofs. There is a bit of Christmas and Easter Seals from other countries, along with American stamp show labels and fundraising stamps for "Jason Island" (Falklands) and "Surf Island", and a page of older European revenue stamps. Plus, all kinds of loose bits and pieces to get your research juices flowing. Estimate = $180.00 $13.00
Worldwide - South American Delight. A well organized and enticing offering of South America, complied in one large springback, 3x small Stanley Gibbons "Simplex Junior" albums, a Lighthouse brand 16-page stockbook (black pages, like new) and several stockpages / cards. The groups consist of (in no particular order)...1) Venezuela 1943-1973, 430 used stamps. 2) Uruguay 1876-1973, 276 stamps. 3) Salvador 1935-1976, approximately 100 stamps. 4) Mexico 1874-1964, approximately 200 stamps (owner’s estimated catalogue value $340.00). 5) Mexico, Salvador, Uruguay, Venezuela, approximately 300 stamps, earlies to 1940’s. 6) Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Columbia, approximately 600 stamps, arranged on stockpages / cards (these were originally in one of the springback albums). 7) Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador arranged chronologically within a 16-page Lighthouse stockbook, owner’s estimated catalogue value well over $1000.00 between the five countries. A very exciting offering for those who collect South America, with the combined catalogue value easily cresting over $2000.00. Estimate = $300.00 $18.00
Worldwide - Stupendous old-time holding of revenues, cinderellas, labels etc. Strength in United States, Latin America in a very old Scott Specialty binder. Includes stamp shows, history, telegraph, promotion, fundraising (there is some TB/Christmas Seals, but most is non-US/Canada). There is a handful of pages, such as Famous Aviators from Skelly Oil, 4 pages of UAR monuments and animal kingdom, a bundle of US ration coupons, US Civil War reproduction "Commendation" forms and a group of Japan Olympics labels 1964-1972. Didn’t see anything post-1975. You will need every back of the book reference that you can find to work through this. Probably 1000 stamps in total, which should prove rewarding once sorted out. Estimate = $200.00 $46.00
Worldwide - The "International Album Holding". A very interesting group of 4 Scott International Albums, filled with 17,368 stamps (both mint and used, counted here by us) spanning the globe. One of the more unusual aspects of this group is that is does not really run alphabetically, but rather through "fits and starts" of countries, which also seem to be duplicated between the albums. What is very clear, is that this group is well represented in British Commonwealth, Europe and South American, with plenty of better items throughout (we noted MANY hundreds of $5-$10 catalogue stamps). Some of the countries of note are Australia / Australian States / Austria / Germany / Poland / France / China / Rhodesia / South Africa / USA etc (just to name a few). Includes several loose pages as well (haphazardly placed within the albums), and "stamps to be mounted" tucked between the pages. An excellent opportunity for someone to break this apart and sort out what is here, as there is value everywhere in these albums. Offered as received, from a local estate, well worth the reasonable estimate assigned. Estimate = $750.00 $160.00
Worldwide - The "Standard Album Holding". Expansive offering of 23,529 stamps (both mint and used, counted by us) from the same estate as the previously listed "International Album Holding", this time in 5x Harris Standard World Stamp Albums. This group, which runs almost the entire globe, as non-commonwealth countries "D to G", "M to P", "R to S" and "S to T’, then followed by British Commonwealth "P to Z". While there seems to be albums missing here (we are offering as received from a local estate), what is here is a very comprehensive showing of many of the countries covered under those alphabet letters. A range of material, from classics to 1980’s, with many of the stamps appearing to be acquired through postal approvals (a clear and heavy showing of obscure countries and large colourful stamps, indicative of the mail approval service). By the selected photos, we hope that one can appreciate the time and effort spent putting this collection together. Offered as received from a local estate, well worth the reasonable estimate assigned. Estimate = $500.00 $160.00
Worldwide - Varieties, errors, freaks and the unknown from across the globe. A former auction lot of 63 stamps, that the previous owner never got to. Some of what makes these stamps special is obvious: shifted overprints, inverted overprint (Congo), faulty overprints, imperforates, shades, offsets, mis-perforations, pre-printing paper fold, colour shifts, 4 perfins and a small number where the variety is not immediate obvious. Keep what you need and sell the rest! Estimate = $140.00 $11.00
Worldwide Covers - A wonderful "catch-all" of covers, postcards, postal stationery and more, all compiled into a small box (shoebox sized). This group is littered with better items, many still in the original dealer sleeve from when originally purchased. We noted WWII Censor, Postcards (including a batch of USA "1000 Islands"), Stationery, Bosnia, FDC, Airmail, Flights, Registered, MANY interesting Rates etc. Seemingly covering the globe, with some pockets of concentration (Philippines, Egypt, Constantinople etc). A far better than usual offering of postal history, with a total of 380 items (many still in the original dealer sleeve from when purchased). Estimate = $200.00 $32.00
Worldwide Covers - An "ex dealer stock" cover offering, but with the "twist" that these have not been offered on the market for likely 25 years (as can ben attested to by the ancient faux "alligator skin" box with leather handle). A total of 380 items, about 1/3 are Canadian, with the remainder spanning the globe. While there don't seem to be any "show-stoppers" in here, the material is clean, with most items being reasonably priced in the $1-5 range. Total retail as marked adds up to $1229.50, which would make you can instant hit at any local club or slow table. Estimate = $140.00 $65.00
Worldwide Covers - Bankers box, filled with a philatelic globe-trotting adventure of postcards and covers. Likely 1500+ items here, which include (in no particular order) Canada, USA, flights, FDC, Europe, picture postcards, Victoria BC cancelled covers, Antarctic etc. Some loose (sleeved and unsleeved), others on pages and on stocksheets. All topped off with a large fold-out 1882 British Indenture, with revenue stamps on vellum paper that would almost suit framing and hanging on the wall! Estimate = $200.00 $26.00
Worldwide Covers - British Commonwealth (mostly) postal history selection of 62 covers / cards / stationery, from across the Commonwealth QV to QEII period, with many better items mixed in throughout. Noted many better usages including Postal Stationery, FDC, Flights, Airmail, Censor, Registered, Royal Train, Military and Rates. All sleeved and priced, with retail values in the $10.00 to $40.00 range. A great opportunity for the show / club / online dealer, looking to bolster their holdings. Total retail as marked adds up to $922.00 (and is quite reasonable). Estimate = $200.00 $13.00
Worldwide Covers - Cyprus Rural Town Cancels / Postmark collection. An interesting selection of 102 covers, neatly arranged in a padded Uni-Safe cover album featuring "rural postal service" or town / village postmarks from Cyprus during the 1970’s. While all appear to be favor cancels, accumulated by a savvy collector at the time, the cancels do appear to be all different. Suffice to say, scarce material to find and a near impossible lot to duplicate. Offered from the estate of a Cypriot / Canadian whose love and care for these items is clearly evident. Cautiously estimated on the lower side, but these covers could be worth quite a bit more. Estimate = $120.00 $10.00
Worldwide Covers - Eclectic offering of 88 covers / postcards from seemingly each corner of the globe, all still in the original dealer sleeves from when originally purchased. We noted several better items which include Picture Postcards, Silk WWII Belgian Postcard, WWI and WWII Censor Mail, Airmail Rates, South America, Pacific Islands, France, British Commonwealth etc. Most of the items are priced in the $5.00 - $15.00 range, but with some below / above. Total retail as marked here is $1040.00, but some seem a bit heavy on the pricing, so we have decided to estimate the group instead. Estimate = $150.00 $32.00
Worldwide Covers - Seldom offer AEROGRAMME (Air Letter) holding. A collector's accumulation of over 500 aerogrammes from across the world, 95% (at least) used, which is much tougher to find than the unused. A couple of areas of clear strength, which include Nepal and India, as well as a group of FDC cancelled Singapore (still in the original Stanley Gibbons auction sleeve from when purchased). A great opportunity to acquire a large holding of what we consider one of the most neglected areas of postal stationery. Estimate = $150.00 $13.00
Worldwide Postcards - A seldom seen offering / full set of 25x "Bambi Story" postcards, issued by the Superluxe Co, Paris France circa 1940 (unused). A very popular series, issued under the approval of Walt Disney Company, with captions in France. An excellent illustrated series, from the tumultuous WWII period. Individual postcards wildly vary in price online, but what was very clear is that complete sets are very tough to assemble. Estimate = $250.00 $10.00
Worldwide Postcards - Dealer Estate Clean Up #1. The first of 5 cardboard dealer postcard boxes, each stuffed with everything from "Classics" to "Chromes" from across the world, but usually with some strength in Canada / USA. A mix of sleeved / unsleeved, with pockets of similar cards, followed by a total random mix a few cards later. While don’t expect any tremendous pricy cards here, this should provide a good sort as there are likely 400-500 postcards here, which should be worth at least 25c each! Estimate = $100.00 $20.00
Worldwide Postcards - Dealer Estate Clean Up #2. The second of 5 cardboard dealer postcard boxes, each stuffed with everything from "Classics" to "Chromes" from across the world, but usually with some strength in Canada / USA.
Worldwide Postcards - Dealer Estate Clean Up #3. The third of 5 cardboard dealer postcard boxes, each stuffed with everything from "Classics" to "Chromes" from across the world, but usually with some strength in Canada / USA.
Worldwide Postcards - Dealer Estate Clean Up #4. The fourth of 5 cardboard dealer postcard boxes, each stuffed with everything from "Classics" to "Chromes" from across the world, but usually with some strength in Canada / USA.
Worldwide Postcards - Dealer Estate Clean Up #5. The fifth (and final) of 5 cardboard dealer postcard boxes, each stuffed with everything from "Classics" to "Chromes" from across the world, but usually with some strength in Canada / USA.
Worldwide Postcards - Dealer’s "in-progress" stock, filling a cardboard dealer box, largely of Thematic postcards (about 2/3 of the box, all individually sleeved, but not priced) followed by (1/3 of the box) with "Classics" to "Chromes" with a clear strength in Western Canada / Canadian Rockies. The topical postcards feature animals, insects, bears, buffalo, cats, cows, deer, dogs, ostrich, sheep, art, university, romance, people and ships. The "ships" make up for over half of the topical group and is clearly the strongest both in number, but also value. Many better postcards throughout. Well worth the reasonable estimate. Estimate = $250.00 $22.00
Worldwide Postcards - SHIP Topicals. A premium offering of 39 postcards depicting ships from around the world, each selected for being a better quality or early (pre-1920) postcard. A mix of Steamship Lines, Merchant Vessels, Shipping Lines and Navy ships. The steamship lines in particular are well represented and we noticed ships from Canada Steamship Lines, Canadian National Steamships, Canadian Pacific Steamship, P&O, Allan Line and White Star Line. A clean offering, perfect for further research or breaking apart for individual sale. Estimate = $120.00 $24.00
Worldwide Supplies - Bankers Box of lightly-used stockbooks. A high-quality assortment 17 stockbooks, from a variety of manufacturers, but we did note these are mostly Lighthouse / Unisafe brands (mostly white-pages), filling a bankers box. While a few show a bit of wear and tear, overall these are much cleaner than we usually see. The "as new" retail on these would be well over $400.00 now, as prices of philatelic supplies have been on the rise. Estimate = $180.00 $95.00
Worldwide Supplies - Manila Stocksheets. Group of 100 brand-new stocksheets (still in the plastic wrap). These 3-ring hole punch pages are ready for any standard binder. The "new" retail cost on these is over $150.00. A very cost-effective way to store your duplicates. Estimate = $80.00 $46.00

A full box of 13x packs of 100 (1300 sleeves), each 117x262mm, meant to house #10 size covers (one of the more difficult sizes to find cover sleeves for). This "new old stock" box was unopened prior to us opening it to take a couple pictures. We note that these can easily be cut-down to make sleeves for covers smaller than #10 size. While these sleeves are no longer produced, the "as new" retail price would easily be over $200.00. Estimate = $100.00 $32.00
Worldwide Supplies - Plastic Postcard Sleeves. A full box 20x packs of 100 (2000 sleeves), each sized to house the European sized postcard (slightly larger than the traditional postcard) This "new old stock" box was unopened prior to us opening it to take a couple pictures. Estimate = $200.00 $200.00
