First Century collection of French classics from 1849-1954 on Henri Thiaude pages, including precancels. The stamps are used up to 1900 and then mostly mint (including some Never Hinged). About 700 different stamps, with only minimal duplication, usually where there are varieties with the 19th century issues. Very clean, very organized, with lots of stamps in black mounts. Better stamps everywhere, including nice definitives and the good commemoratives from the 1920’s-1930’s. The owner’s 2018 Scott catalogue value was a reasonable US$5475.00 (with the 2021 Y&T being 50% above this).
