Canada Cancels -
Unbelievable hoard of 1977-1983 medium to high value used, hand cancelled, plate blocks on piece, from an extensive correspondence between a stamp collector in Edmonton and a friend in Poland. From what we can tell, every couple of weeks, he would send a good sized parcel by registered mail, franked with 50c-$5.00 plate blocks (lots of National Parks issues), many in matched sets and hand cancelled (mostly with an Edmonton Sub 58 POCON cancel). The plate blocks were cut from the parcels and dutifully returned to the collector who mounted them chronologically in page protectors. Clean, fresh and attractive. We roughly counted 400 plate blocks. Some of the larger pieces include shipping information which could make it possible to figure out which rate they paid.
