# 605A-605F "MUESTRA" Overprints
|
The famous 1938 issue "Submarine Mail" set of six in F/VF mint NH condition. These stamps were intended for use on a proposed submarine mail route from Barcelona to Mahon (Minorca). This particular "MUESTRA" (specimen/sample) overprinted set was sent by Spanish and UPU officials as a sample of current Spanish issues to Postmasters of foreign post offices. Valued as a regular NH set but much scarcer. 2023 Scott Classic US$425.00=
