We don’t see these great collections of mint and used South African like we used to. Starts with some attractive 1920’s-1930’s singles and pairs, many of the better identified by the owner (noted a mint hinged pairs of #30, 54, 65, 67). There are some JIPEX booklet panes with different ads and the “back of the book” is well represented with postage dues and officials. The collection becomes a little less spectacular in the 1960’s-1970’s but bounces back in the 1980’s-1990’s with lots of sets, blocks and souvenir sheets. Didn’t see much after 1998. The owner’s catalogue value is a few years old and was quite accurate for the time. A spot check indicates that some values have risen while others have dropped a bit, so take that into consideration when bidding. Owner’s older Scott US$1324.45 =
