From a collector that was fascinated with the 1940 Centennial set overprinted official. This lot includes a mounted collection of 7 of the denominations in mint blocks of 4 (2 or 3 stamps are Never Hinged), followed by six attractive used blocks, including 2 inscription blocks. This reasonable approach was quickly followed by a number of envelopes with bulk quantities (typically a couple hundred used singles) of most of the denominations in the set. A few miscellaneous other items seem to pale in comparison but are included in the lot. The Scott catalogue value will easily be a few thousand dollars. Estimate =
