Part 2 of a 21st century matched plate block First Day Covers collection. A Post Office fresh collection of approximately 140 Canada Post cacheted standard-sized covers arranged in two-pocket "Vario" brand pages within two matching Uni-Safe 3-ring albums (with matching slipcases). These two volumes run from 2003 to the end of 2005 and are fairly complete for matched sets (only missing the occasional cover). There are also a number of issues represented as single covers when there were no plate blocks (e.g. souvenir sheets, coils, booklets), in which case one example is included. Larger-sized covers for bigger souvenir sheets (e.g. hockey) were not part of this collection. Given the high face values of modern Post Office issues, matched plate block FDC aren’t seen very often and definitely not to this degree of completeness. While Unitrade doesn’t price them, the owner’s original cost for this section approached $550.00 as the blue padded Uni-Safe three-ring binders in matching slipcase and the black stockpages retails about $130.00 alone, plus the Post Office cost of the FDC.
