A "Commerce" and "Dominion" 1p carmine study group on two stockpages. Beginning with a used single of the "Shackleton Expedition" overprint "King Edward VII Land" (#121A) followed by a fresh Never Hinged block of the "Victoria Land." overprint (#131D) and a mint single with the scarce selvage ad for "Kaitangata Coal" (listed in Campbell Paterson as a pair for NZ$600). This is supported by 80 unchecked used singles from issues known for many printings, varieties and cancel interest (there is a nice pair with a "Loose Letter" box cancel). 2023 Scott for the two overprinted pieces US$367.50 alone!
