Saskatchewan Postal History / FDC collection. A philatelic project by an avid postmark collector with a tank-full of gasoline! A small tub containing 771 covers, all postmarked of the first day of issue for stamps between 1990-1996 (with a small handful of earlier) cancelled at mostly smaller Post Offices across the province. Seemingly, when a new issue came out, the collector would trek across the province to get "one-off" first day covers cancelled at smaller Post Offices. As a result, there is wide array of town postmarks represented here including CDS, POCON and Retail Centre types. Stongest in the CDS cancel types, as many of the hammers were used much later in Saskatchewan compared to other provinces. Most of the covers also have a modern cachet envelope, acquired or produced by the collector to be used. Impossible to recreate and from a transitional period where not much information is available for postmark types (including many short-use hammers). Estimate =
