A total of 35 covers / postcards and one piece, with each item carefully selected by the previous owner to show some interesting aspect of mail during this period (not your average grouping!). Items of interest include POW mail, WWII Patriotic, Navy mail, FDC, Stamp Dealer mail, Censor, Special Delivery, First Flight Covers, Registered and Booklet Panes. Two of the most intriguing are an 1944 Armed Forces Air Letter from Winnipeg to the RAF in Ceylon (killed in action, returned, DLO) and a 1948 London squared circle cover from "late use" period.
