Early Pioneer First, Special and Emergency Flights. All different selection of 37 almost all 1920s era Pioneer First and Emergency Flight Airmail covers, from Alberta, the North West Territories, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec. These early first, special and emergency flights are the early 20th century version of today's space race. These primitive pioneering flights were followed enthusiastically by the public and the limited edition covers (that often helped sponsor the flights) produced at the time are eminently collectible. All listed in the American Air Mail Catalogue, these covers can form a solid foundation to a historically rich collection of Canadian aerophilately.
