Fakes/Forgeries/Fantasies/Locals: Mixed group of Lafreniere listed and unlisted fantasy productions, mostly those of S. Allan Taylor, the noted stamp forger. The group includes; the obscure and scarcer 1864 Grand Trunk Railway newspaper stamps x 3 (#cc6050); a selection of the 1864 International Letter Express labels (#CC6055); 1865 LeBeau City Post (#cc6100) and a Bankroft's City Express (#cc6080). Other items include a "Little Wanderer Aid Society" trio (unlisted in Lafreniere but attributed to Taylor); J. A. Nutter promotional labels (a Taylor competitor); an 1898 issue 25c McGreely's Express (#cc5490) and a small handful of others. An eclectic and interesting offering! Estimate =
