# 13/458 plus Back of the Book

A very pleasing "first century" collection of 432 mostly different, and mostly used French classics up to about 1942 on old "KA-BE" album pages. The early issues are in better than average condition, with great eye-appeal and lots of "socked on the nose" cancels, including numerals and Parisian stars. The 5fr Napoleon III #37 has a couple of pulled perfs but at $750.00 catalogue value, it will do until a better one comes along. There are some attractive, perforated "Ceres", used "Peace and Commerce" to 5 francs, followed by good coverage of 1920's-1930's used definitives and commemoratives. The semi-postals are well represented, with a mix of mint and used (including a very lightly used copy of B66). There are a few airmails and a smattering of postage dues along the way. Estimate =
