British Columbia. Group of 54 choice BC split ring cancels, all dated 1938 on small cut square / piece, as collected as the time by a collector in Victoria, not having seen another collector's eyes since the 1950's. These were likely snipped from incoming mail to a prominent Victoria BC drug store and represent many small communities (and many closed Post Offices), with strength in Vancouver Island postmarks. Some of the better Post Office include Provincial Cannery, Hanceville, Hilliers Crossing, Heriot Bay, Refugee Cove, Marguerite, Castle Rock, Rendonda Bay, Shearer Dale, Palling, Jesmond, Grassy Plaines, Decker Lake, Tupper Creek, Hulatt, Blind Channel and Blaeberry.
