Arthur Szyk Album Frontispiece Septet. Every "old school" Canadian stamp collector knows of Kasimir Bileski, the Winnipeg based stamp dealer and promoter. Famous for acquiring, promoting and marketing newly discovered Canadian errors and varieties, his philatelic career, begun in the 1920s, ran well into the 1990s. In the 1940s & 1950s Bileski "teamed up" with various artists, including Arthur Szyk, famous for Liberian stamp designs and beautifully designed country album title page frontispieces. This particular lot includes archivally fresh full colour "First Edition" frontispieces for Poland, USSR, Israel, Great Britain, Canada, China and Switzerland.
