The quintessential Vatican starter pack, perfect for someone looking to delve into this City-State, surrounded by Rome and home of the Roman Catholic Church headquarters. The lot, which is contained within a bankers box includes White Ace pages in a 3-ring binder filled with a good run of mint material from 1923-1969, followed by an empty White Ace binder (with slipcase) and “new” pages covering the 1966-2003 (plus a pack of Vatican “blank” pages). After the White Ace showing comes an “Alligator” brand album with a few hundred 1930's to 1970's stamps in mounts on pages (looks to be almost all Never Hinged), a few small stockbooks / presentation folders, a smattering of covers / first day covers, a bundle of album pages / stamps and dozens of dealer cards with Vatican Stamps. Most of the mint material is Never Hinged, but expect some Hinged material in the earlier stamps. An enormous original investment represented here, just waiting to be amalgamated on those White Ace pages which will give you a nice final album representing the first issues up to 2003. Estimate =
