Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used Portugal, 1860s-1980s, containing roughly 1,250 stamps, generally organized chronologically in a stockbook and three clean Schaubek albums. The bulk of the stamps are in the stockbook, with primarily used stamps up to the 1920s, and continues with a mixture of mint (including some never hinged), and used stamps up to the 1980s, along with a small selection of back of the book material. A spot check revealed roughly 250 pre-1900 used stamps, including 34 imperforate stamps from the 1860s (possible reprints noted), with Scott catalogue values generally ranging from $10 to $15 and up, along with Scott #s 396-397 (mh, c.v. $124 total), Q16 (mh $90), along with a few stamps, sets, and partial sets cataloguing $20 and up. The three Schaubek album are sparsely filled, with pages ranging from 1853 to 1988. These are a nice companion to the stockbook as stamps can be tranfered to fill up empty pages to make a very nice collection. Our online photos show just a small taste. A few small faults with a few of the early stamps, overall fine to very fine. Estimate =
