A partial cure for Machin madness. This collector built a solid starter collection of mint Machins, starting from the sterling-era issues, and progressing up to the late-1990’s including regional issues for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Organized chronologically showing the wide range of denominations, colours, tagging, papers, printers, perforations, etc. that have always made this issue so challenging. Beautifully mounted and labelled. A few of the earlier are hinged, but the majority are never hinged. Towards the end, some of the issues are used and there are three stock pages with mint and used duplicates (or items that never got around to mounting). Includes some modern "Castles" with face values up to £5. The world’s longest continually running set came to an end with the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Estimate =
