A quartet of misperfs. Includes two "Penny Reds" that seemed to face the quandary when going to use a heavily misperforated stamp, which is...stick with the perforations or cut the stamp so that the design is intact? The user seems to have stuck with the latter on these used singles of #20 and #33 (plate 91). The mint strip of three of #33 (plate 199, gum disturbed - catalogues $217.50) has the vertical perforations shifted so that the position letters are next to each other. The most eye-catching piece is the 1/2d Edward VII corner pair with plate number showing doubling of perforations caused by the corner of the pane being tucked under the sheet when going through the perforation process.
