To soak or not to soak, that is the question. Victorian-era kiloware is rarely seen, but there are two pages of mostly penny reds that are still on their piece, some with nice cancels, some not. There are also two larger front pieces with a pair of 3d #49 (plate 8) and #54 (plate 4), which catalogues $165.00. Bonus material is over 100 more Penny Reds that have been soaked. These appear to have been selected for their readable numeral cancels, and condition is quite mixed. Mounted on 4 stockpages, but otherwise they haven’t seen the light of day for decades. Estimate =
