Group of "Indonesia’s First Stamps" curated collection of 241 stamps and four souvenir sheets, was produced as 6,000 sets in 1981. Unlike almost every other similar production of its era, this was a worthwhile purchase. Includes mint, never hinged, examples of almost every stamp and overprint (including back of the book) issued in the emergence of the Republic in 1948-1949. Includes souvenir sheets #59, 61 and overprinted #118, and overprinted postage due set J27-J39. Missing only a couple of issues. Includes a couple of overprints that are not Scott listed (like the "RIS" overprint on the UPU souvenir sheet) which are not counted in the total catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$809.75 =
