Scarce single usage of the 10c brown violet 1898 issued QV Numeral issue, used in-period on cover from Ottawa ONT (August 6th 1903) to Switzerland. Endorsed in the LL corner "AGB" (likely Andrew George Blair, MP from New Brunswick), but although members of parliament had free franking privilege within Canada, overseas mail had to be paid for (10c pays the double-weight UPU rate to Switzerland). A bit roughly opened, but a very nice "single use / on cover" example of this elusive QV issue. 2024 Unitrade =
