French Colonies

Olde-time and interesting mounted collection of French colonial material, including a nice run of Offices in Egypt (both Alexandria and Port Said), plus a page of generic "French Colonies" issues and a page of French Congo. We did revise the catalogue value from the 1982 prices listed on these four pages which came to US$475.00. The material gets a bit more scattered, but no less interesting, from French West Africa, Algeria, Comoro Islands, Sudan, Equatorial Africa, Middle Congo, finishing with a promising offering of Madagascar. A mix of mint and used, with a bit of back of the book material. Stamps are mostly pre-1950, and most have been identified with Scott numbers. Value likely lurks here. Estimate =
