A striking page of used stamps from this French colony, including six values with a straight-line overprint, and most of the first "Navigation and Commerce" issue ("Diego-Suarez et Colonies") and a complete set of the modified "Diego-Suarez", plus the 1c postage due on piece. Several have owner markings on the back. Far better than normally seen. A naval base on Madagascar, treated as a separate colony until about 1895.
