Eye-catching early 20th century "Animal" issues mint selection of 42 different stamps on a couple of black stockpages. Includes both Orangutan issues (the green issue with no gum), most of the set with the "British Protectorate" overprints, the great train topical #131 (catalogues $150.00), a set of the "4 cents" lower case overprints, finishing with a complete set of the 1909-1922 animals and birds. Terrific appearance, only a couple with tropical staining on back. The usual wide range of hinging, with some hinge remnants, but a few in the last set being never hinged.
