Small, elegant 2-post album with leather cover and cardboard slipcase holds a thorough pre-WWII collection of mint and used. Several hundred mint and used stamps starting with the second issue, nicely mounted on quadrilled pages (note: the collector used neat black backing paper, which will appear to be plastic mounts - they are not. The stamps are all hinged in). Despite using a different catalogue, the issues are easy to follow in Scott, with a good range of regular issues plus lots of postage dues and postal tax stamps, plus a smattering of other back of the book. The overall condition is excellent and sets and singles with catalogue values in the $15-$50 range are seen throughout. Untouched from the previous purchaser, who bought it in 2002 paying £500.00 against a plausible owner’s catalogue value of €4500. A true old-time collection. Estimate =
