Collection of mint and used covering just over a quarter century of DDR issues, including some "back of the book". Includes a mix of assorted earlier sets and singles with catalogue values in the $5-$10 range, but with better such as the 50pf Mao, a nicely used examples of the "Engels" and "Thalmann" souvenir sheets and the 1958 semi-postal souvenir sheet #B35a with a "Buchenwald" cancel. There are over 1000 different stamps covering 1949-1977, with a bit of duplication. The collector appears to have acquired album pages from four different series (e.g. Lighthouse, Ka-be) and then amalgamated them together (with handwritten numbers in the lower corners). The pages are incomplete, and wouldn’t have all fit in one binder, hence the loose pages. Ignore this and focus on the attractive stamps that are here. Estimate =
