A quite thorough mint collection of the first 20 years of DDR commemorative sets and singles in a 32-page Lighthouse stockbook, with issues from 1948-1966. Highlights include a complete run of the issues in the first few years (the "Academy of Science" set is never hinged), the "Stamp on Stamp" issues semi-postals and two of the "15th anniversary" imperforate souvenir sheet, in nice condition. Most of the early issues are lightly hinged, and the collection is only missing the "Mao" set, the souvenir sheets, most definitive issues and the occasional stamp here and there. Overall the condition is excellent. Minor duplication. Estimate =
