An attractive, older Lighthouse springback binder holds this very complete post-war East German collection. The locals include a good offering of Mecklenburg, East, West and Provincial Saxony, and Thuringen. The Russian Zone issues include 17 different "3 Berlin 8" with black overprints. The DDR issues are very complete, with a mix of mint and used throughout. Noted a fresh-looking set of the Mao issue, souvenir sheets 226a, 237a and 243a (all used) and other sets and singles with catalogue values to $10.00 each. About 1500 stamps in total, attractively mounted and generally very lightly hinged. Printed pages go to 1965 and then the collector added blank Lighthouse pages. Estimate =
