An interesting selection of this "colony" as before it became part of South Africa, it became part of Transvaal, and in the 1880’s this "New Republic" issued 65 stamps. This grouping of 13 different mint examples constitutes 20% of the total issues of New Republic and includes denominations up to 10/-. Generally nice clean appearance, all are hinged, with the occasional bit of offset (as often seen). We noted that #2 has a pinhole, and #21 has a minor thin but otherwise, condition is well-above average for this seldom-seen material. Includes #1-3, 20-22, 41b, 43-4, 47, 49, 54-5.
