Masterful Post Office cancel and postal history collection from late QV to about 1950. This collection is divided by region/province/service and then by Post Office and different cancel types. Where there is duplication, it is often because of different time markings. Includes many numeral killers, CDS, double ring and the occasional machine cancel. The cancels are generally very readable and are neatly annotated by hand. The mounted portion includes 534 stamps and 42 covers and cards. Additionally, there are some black stockpages with another 220 stamps, some of which may be duplication, and some are waiting to be added to the collection. We can’t overstate the depth of this holding, including Colombo sub Post Offices, railway, ship, even a cover used in the Maldives. Supported with relevant documentation, including lists, maps and some pictures. Don’t overlook the value of the stamps themselves! A lifetime labour of love, virtually impossible to duplicate.
