British Columbia RPO "End of Track" Rarities Duo. A duo of postcards, the first being postmarked "End of Steel G.T.P. West, BC" Dec 3rd 1912. The second being "E of T & P.R. RPO" (End of Track and Prince Rupert, Railway Post Office) Oct 16th 1913. Two rarities, both for the BC postmark collector and RPO Railway Post Office Collector as these Post Offices were really the "End of the Line" travelling offices as the railway construction progressed. Of particular note, the End of Steel postmarked card's message reads (in part) "Hello Ray, I'm on my way out of the mountains, I have been seven days walking eighty-two miles through the snow, in some places on the trail it is drifted so full you can't hardly get through" (signed Ray Hamilton). The End of Track has a pencilled price of $550 on it, from decades ago (hard to know if it actually sold for this!). Estimate =
