An extensive American mounted collection. Starting with some early issues, including four "Black Jacks" (one on a cover piece), some "grill" issues with well above average coverage into the (including some lovely cancels). The Columbus issue is mostly complete up to the 50c, Trans-Mississippi to 10c and the Pan-American set is complete used. There are some better mint examples that slip in here and there, such as #302/307 and #551-570. The Washington/Franklin issues are well represented, including some imperforates. The collection ends in 1948, but the Airmails have decent coverage into the 1980’s. We also noted Parcel Post, Special Delivery, Postage Dues, Revenues and a bit of Canal Zone and Hawaii. This collection concludes witht 30+ intriguing covers which have lots of character with interesting cancels, destinations and routes. Substantial catalogue value from these 1500+ stamps. Estimate =
