The "Horse of the Month" stamp service ran a subscription service which sent collectors new worldwide issues with anything remotely horse related. This includes breeds, types of service, progression of transportation and even carousels. In some months, historical issues were included, so stamps are seen back to the 1960’s. Besides stamps, there are souvenir sheets, commemorative panels, the occasional first day cover, postal stationery and one numismatic cover. Based on the 76 envelopes in this lot, this collector was a member for about 6 years. The packages were never explored or mounted, so they should all be in excellent condition. There are a few hundred stamps here, which would have cost at least $1000.00 as new issues. Estimate =
