Russia # 19/3357 plus back of the book

Very old collection stretching back to Czarist Russia with a pleasing range of "Coat of Arms" issues that will await your patient identification. There is good representation through to the early USSR, including the many overprints and revaluations, with better sets and singles. There are better items from the 1930’s including #471 (Gorki) and #478 (Revolution 15th anniversary), mint 1933 "Peoples" set (catalogues $256.00), #547 (mint), #569-572 (Persian Art - cat.$160.00) and a partial Pushkin set. The post-war era is markedly sparser, with a few mint issues in the last couple of years, ending 1967. There is a bit of "back of the book", with the occasional better semi-postal or airmail stamp. Not that you need a bonus on this lot, but there are a couple of pages of printings for use in the Russian-Levant. All housed in an old black Borek springback binder. A high-quality offering, sure to please the intrepid collector. Estimate =
