France and Colonies # 12/1195 plus Semi-postals

Mounted collection on quadrilled pages in a black "Borek" springback album, plus a few loose pages and a black stockcard from another 19th century collection and a small wholesale lot of mint St. Pierre and Miquelon. The album starts with the Peace and Commerce issue and runs to 1967, starting off mostly used, before gradually transitioning to mint (and later Never Hinged). The material is mostly lower value, with individual stamps up to $10.00 catalogue value, with the most appeal being with the semi-postals (although we did note a mint copy of #C36). This collection of 1020 stamps is supplemented with an older grouping of Napoleon and Bordeaux issues, with a couple of Obock/Djibouti/Somalia overprints and a card with Alsace and Lorraine official imitations, including some attractive multiples. The lot concludes with St. Pierre & Miquelon, with panes of 3/4 of the 1962 bird issue and a range of mint blocks and singles with up to 20 copies of a type, such as #98/103 and #C47/C76. The SPM catalogues about US$300.00 alone. Estimate =
