George V Admiral Franked Postcard HOARD. A shoebox, packed to the brim with over 800 postcards, all franked with Admiral stamps. From the estate of an aficionado of Admiral stamps, most of these were purchased as local shows over decades for $1-5 each, purely for the reason of having an Admiral stamp affixed. While there does not seem to be ground-breaking rarities, this would likely represent a fair showing of what Admiral era postcards would look like if taking a sample batch. There will be some good postmark hunting to be done, as we noted a good variety of cancels including split ring, duplex, CDS and machine. A few better views, but strength here is the sheer quantity of Admirals used on postcard. Conservatively estimated at less than 25c per card. Estimate =
