Weeda's Weekly Stamp Sale

Bidboard # 1961

Lot # 138

Canada -
TWO VOLUME LINDER ALBUM COLLECTION. Primarily mint and used collection of Canada in two Lindner albums with slipcases. The collection ranges from 1870 to 1982, roughly 97% complete in period, and includes coil singles and "back of the book" material. The collection begins with mint and used sets and partial sets including 18 Small Queen issues noting mint 50c Widow Weeds (HR), Jubilees 1/2c to 10c, Leafs and Numerals (noting mint hinged 8c Leaf, and 10c, 20c Numerals), Edwards, Quebecs, and continues with primarily mint sets and partial sets including Admirals (missing 10c blue), Scroll (except 50c used Bluenose), Arch, Medallion (Scott c.v. $263 total), Pictorials, War Issue (c.v. $173 total), Peace, along with Airmails, Postage Dues, Special Delivery, and G overprints. A cursory check of individual stamps noted a few better never hinged stamps with Scott #s 85-88 (c.v. $307 total), 108-109 ($122 total), 115 ($100), 120 ($200), 157 ($120), C1-C4 ($266 total), O25, O27 ($175 total). The consignor's summary notes 1,345 mint stamps (2025 c.v. $15,870), and 359 used stamps (c.v. $819), with $115 of face value postage post 1951. Consignor's 2025 total Scott catalogue value totals US$16,689.00! We note several faults with the early material, along with some mint stamps having no gum, heavy hinging, or other faults up to the Admiral issues, with a mixture of mint hinged and never hinged material post the 1920s. Still a nice collection with much useful material perfect to build upon, integrate in your own collection or break apart. Well worth our conservative estimate. Estimate =
