Canada #74-83. Mint Hinged / Never Hinged nearly complete set of 1898-1902 QV "Numerals", running from the ½c up to the 10c value. Ten stamps total, mostly reasonably hinged, with a few of the lower values being Never Hinged. Conservatively all valued as basic mint hinged. A good starter set. 2024 Scott US$1,668.00 = $2,251.80
History

57
Canada #90/94. King Edward VII trio with a 2c booklet pane of 6 (no tab, a bit of discoloration at the right and some gum loss and a bit of a thin from poor storage, Scott catalogues US$1600.00). The 20c olive-green example is mint, well centered, with the usual heavy hinging and a couple of short perforations (Scott US$750.00). The lot concludes with a used 2c single with a nice "Esquimalt" crown cancel. Estimate = $250.00
History

58
Canada #104/122 plus Coils and War Tax. Two stockpages of mint Admirals, as assembled by a collector. The first page (43 stamps) are Hinged, with the second page (36 stamps) being Never Hinged. A nice array of material here, which ranges from the 1c to $1.00 value, plus imperforates, War Tax and Coils. Also accompanied by two different older (but still relevant) publications on the Admiral issue by George V. Marler. Expect the odd small fault, but catalogued as basic stamps, with no premiums added for Never Hinged, shades or other varieties, so plenty of upside for the collector once sorted. 2025 Scott US$3058.50 ($4129.00 CDN). Estimate = $300.00
History

59
Canada #104/321. Mint Block Collection. A diverse offering of 117 mint blocks from the George V / George VI period, neatly arranged on stockpages. Generally lightly hinged, often with the top hinged and lower never hinged, but to be conservative there were no NH premiums added. The catalogue value adds up quickly on this one! 2025 Scott US$2885.00 = $3,894.65
History

60

History

62
Canada #123-124. Fine mint Never Hinged set / duo of the 1913 issue 1c dark green and 2c carmine George V Admiral coils, perf 8 (horizontal). A tough pair of stamps to find Never Hinged. 2024 Scott US$550.00 = $742.50
History

63
Canada #136-138. VF mint Hinged/Never Hinged trio of the GeoV Admiral imperforate blocks, from the special 1924 printing of only 50,000 or 100,000 examples of each denomination. Fresh, with nice wide margins, the 1c has 3x stamps never hinged, the 2c (2 NH) and the 3c (1 NH). Very eye catching. Total 2024 Scott US$542.50 = $732.38
History

64

History

65
Canada #337/345. Specialized and intense Mint (seemingly all Never Hinged) QEII Wilding Plate Block collection, with over 800 plate blocks, arranged on pages by issues, then plate number within two binders. A wealth of material here, which is near impossible to assemble these days without spending a copious amount of time and money as most of these are retailed only (and many dealers don't stock them). Duplicated (as to be expected), but a wonderful "more complete than not" offering of what is available for this issue. Also included is a smattering of "other" QEII Wilding items, including coils. Owner's hand-written inventory list is included. Owner's Unitrade = $3,586.15
History

66
Canada #556. ESSAY/PROOF. VF quality Canadian Bank Note Company progressive proof of the 1971 issue 10c Christmas stamp in a sheet margin block of four. Perforated and with full Never Hinged gum. The proof consists of the lithographed background only (missing the engraved silver text and snowflake). The original retail value of this proof when it was first discovered was over $300.00 per stamp ($1,200.00 for a block). Comes with a single of the issued stamp for comparison. Estimate = $150.00

Canada #686, 687 Panes. VF mint Never Hinged (still Post Office sealed) packs of the $1.00 Notre Dame & Place Marie / $2.00 Olympic Stadium, 1975 issued Olympic Games high-values, with three of the possible four different plate positions (these panes could be acquired as "plate blocks" with four possible positions). Tough to find Post Office sealed! Face value alone is $62.00. 2024 Unitrade = $300.00
History

68
Canada #1362iii. Mint Never Hinged imperforate gutter pair of the 1998 45c "Flag over Building" issue. There are two small tears and a bit of minor damage to the upper right corner, affecting the "45". A note in Unitrade states "most of the imperf gutter pairs seen by the editors are creased". This pair doesn’t have creasing but does have the damage noted. 2024 Unitrade = $2,250.00
History

69
Canada #1367a. Mint Never Hinged imperforate pair of the 65c "Black Walnut" tree definitive of 1991, with nice even margins, but alas, a miscut has resulted in a 15mm horizontal cut into the top stamp (starts between "Wal" and "nut"). Still an attractive example of one of the harder to find errors from this period. 2024 Unitrade = $1,500.00
History

70
Canada #1534ii. VF Mint Never Hinged upper left inscription corner block of four of the 1994 Xmas unissued 52c proposed rate change stamp. The Post Office decided to remain at 50c but a few of these got out anyway. A key modern "unintentional" issue. 2024 Unitrade = $950.00
History

71
Canada #1689a, 1692a, 1689b, 1692b, 1693, 1694, 2405. A wonderfully clean offering of modern Animal / Mammel high-values, including 2005 issued $1.00 White-Tailed Deer / Atlantic Walrus / $2.00 Peregrine Falcon / Sable Island Horse (each in matched set of plate blocks and miniature pane), 2003 issued $5.00 Moose pane of 4, 1997 issued $8.00 Grizzly pane of 4 and the 2010 issued $10.00 Whale pane of 2. Face value alone adds up to $132.00, but these issued have proven elusive for many collectors due to the lower print numbers and high original cost. 2024 Unitrade = $325.00
History

72
Canada #1818-1834. Investment group of 4x complete mint Never Hinged sets of all 17 different 1999-2000 issue 46c Millennium mini-sheets of four. One of the most popular series in the past few decades, with 68 different stamp designs. Pristine condition, with the face value alone being $125.12. 2024 Unitrade = $612.00
History

73
Canada #2479-2482. Complete mint Never Hinged set of 4 complete panes of 16 stamps for each of 2011 "Canadian Recording Artists" series of 4 stamps. We seldom see these panes, as only 160,000 were printed of each as compared to more often seen souvenir sheet or booklets panes, which had 1,105,000 issued combined. Overlooked by many at the time of issue, these complete panes now listed in the Unitrade catalogue and are quite hard to find 13+ years past issue date. 2024 Unitrade = $300.00
History

74
Canada #2567, BK499-BK507. VF mint complete set of the 2012 issued "100th Grey Cup Game" booklets (9 in total), plus the matching VF NH souvenir sheet of 9 values. A very clean assembly, which has been tough to find after issue due to the high original cost and cross-interest with sports collectable collectors. Face value alone is $122.76. 2024 Unitrade = $168.75
History

75
Canada #3064i ERROR. Sought-after used example of the "P" value MacMillan Provincial Park, BC with missing red "P" (along with a normal used for comparison). A modern listed variety rarity. 2024 Unitrade = $1250.00 $1,250.00
History

76
Canada #BK9b. A scarce, complete, 1922 Admiral booklet with a pane of four and two tabs for the 1c yellow and 3c brown plus a pane of 6 of the 2c green. The booklet covers are blue with dark blue tape. The stamps are in good shape, but the covers have some faults including a bit of peeling of the tape, an erased notation on the front and a small tear to the back cover. The staple is oxidized and barely holding the booklet together. Still, not many of these were produced and few survive to this date. 2024 Unitrade = $650.00
History

77
Canada #BK29/BK39. Selection of 13 different George VI (Mufti / War Issue) complete booklets, neatly arranged on a double-sided stocksheet by the consignor. A nice mix of English / French / Bilingual printed, with variety in rate pages as well. While all booklets in this period are generally "better", this group includes one of the tougher to find booklets (BK29c,French, catalogue $140.00). Some minor bumping, rust on staples and pencil marks (could be removed) as often found on these issues. Centering of the panes as varied, but these were counted as basic catalogue values, with no premium for well centered or clean covers. 2024 Unitrade = $633.00
History

78
Canada #CL40/CL52. Semi-Official Airmail "Sampler" selection of 20 mint / used stamps neatly laid out on a single stockpage. Slightly duplicated, but almost all the mint are Never Hinged (with the exception of one of the CL52 examples), with the bottom row being used. While the used were catalogued at the mint value (only value given), collectors will be aware that used copies can be tougher to find than the mint counterparts. 2024 Scott Classic US$326.00 = $440.10
History

79
Canada #E1, E1a, E1b. Stunning assembly of 102x the 1898 issued 10c Special Delivery stamp, with particular attention to better postmarks and shades. A well above-average offering which includes better postmarks (CDS, Cork, RPO, ORB, "R" Registered and a Squared Circle), plus a range of shades which includes all three of the Unitrade / Scott listed shades (blue green, green, yellow green). The perfect lot for a specialist (or budding specialist). Catalogued as basic stamps only, so plenty of upside once sorted out. 2025 Scott US$1122.00 = $1,514.70
History

80
Canada #E1b. Fine mint Never Hinged example of the yellow green shade of the 1898 issue 10c Special Delivery stamp. A tough stamp to find Never Hinged. 2025 Scott US$725.00 = $978.75
History

81
Canada #EO1. VF mint Never Hinged large multiple (half-sheet) of 25 of the 1950 "O.H.M.S." overprinted Special Delivery stamp, with Plate No.1 inscription at lower right. A very attractive multiple, valued as a plate block, plus 21 singles (but should be worth a premium as a multiple). 2024 Unitrade = $624.00
History

82
Canada #O6a. VF used vertical strip of four of the 10c Peace issue "Great Bear Lake" with a single example of the Unitrade / Scott listed "missing period" "O.H.M.S", plus three regular singles. Neatly postmarked "La Tuque, QC, 12 IV 51". Undervalued in Unitrade / Scott, especially nicely used in multiples. 2024 Unitrade = $92.70. Estimate = $100.00
History

83
Canada #O6a, O7a, O8a. VF used trio of "missing period" Unitrade / Scott listed varieties of the "O.H.M.S" official overprints on George VI Peace issue mid-values. Tougher to find than the catalogue would indicated, especially this nice! 2024 Unitrade = $330.00
History

84
Canada #O10-272. VF mint Never Hinged plate block / upper sheet-margin block of 10 of the 1946 Peace issue 50c Lumbering. Originally folded and a bit of perf separation on top (not affecting the plate block), but still a stunning showpiece multiple of this high-value official stamp, valued as a VFNH plate block, plus 6 VFNH singles. 2024 Unitrade = $960.00

Canada - Annual Collections for 1974 & 1975. The two scarcest Canada Post Annual Collections, from the years 1974 and 1975. Very nice quality duo of the key early 8½ x 11 Post Office Yearbooks. Both complete with MNH stamps in collector added mounts. The 1974 year set is the "unpunched" version, while the 1975 is the "punched" version, having received the 3-hole punch (as listed in the catalogue). Getting these is increasingly tougher, especially in as nice of shape as these two are. 2024 Unitrade = $335.00
History

Truck and Rainbow design Picture Postage stamp, issued on November 30th 2020, ONLY TO CANADA POST EMPLOYEES, plus a thank you card and matching rainbow pin. The booklets are very elusive. While recognized and reviewed in numerous philatelic journals, Unitrade has yet to create an individual listing for this stamp, so we have used the Unitrade catalogue number for the frame design as our stamp reference. Two booklets are perfect for display purposes (front and back). Estimate = $100.00

Canada - Private Courier stamp HOARD. BC-based private courier service mint label hoard from the estate of the person who ran the operation. Starting in the early 1980s, during a postal strike, a local post service was setup to run international mail over to Port Angeles, WA for a fee, paid for by a label attached to the back flap, along with appropriate American postage. Based on its popularity with collectors, additional stamps were produced for the next decade. Locally printed, these stamps have significant variability in print quality, rouletting etc. After 40 years of handling and storage, the condition can be a bit mixed in place, but overall these are pretty nice. The counts are for complete sheets, although extra blocks and singles may be hiding. Saw Canadian Postal Strike Labels (sheetlets of 18) - the 50c (23 sheets), $1.00 (46 sheets), $1.85 rouletted edge (35), imperforate edge (28). The three small designs of the same issue in 34 sheets of 30 stamps. The BC Courier Service "Horse" issue in sheets of 25 (<1 oz (12), 1-3 oz (6), >3 oz (6)). 1983 "Fish" issue: 75c fully rouletted (7), imperforate ends (8), $4.50 (1) and the same issue overprinted "1985" - often with interleaving white paper 75c orange rouletted (3), imperforate edge (10), 75c pink (19), $1.50 (16), $4.50 (4). The BC Private Courier "Animal" issues include the 1984 75c (65), $1.50 (4). The 1988 series 75c orange (7), white (6), $1.50 green (34) white (4), $4.50 pink (28), white (1).The 1989 series 75c (40), $1.50 (29), $4.50 (35). These issues have been under-appreciated for their topical interest (fish, transportation, animals). A total of over 15,000 stamps on over 600 sheets! Lafreniere 2012 pro-rata catalogue value $56,629.00!! Estimate = $1,500.00

The packs (for the most part) are all lower face values, most being under $10.00 and often retail for a good premium over the issue price. Conservatively valued for the total face value / issue price. Total face value = $118.20

Canada - Special Delivery "socked on the nose" selection of 62 used stamps. Might be some good dates and towns. Looks like sound examples, some light CDS strikes but easily identifiable. All valued by the consignor at lowest Unitrade values with no added value for the cancels! 2024 Unitrade = $327.00
History

98
Canada Cancels - A cancel collector’s dream. A 68-litre Rubbermaid container holds all of the loose scraps from a voracious cancel collector. Both on and off paper, some in "102" cards, some in glassines, most are loose. Nothing but chaos, with a bit of material going back to the Victorian-era and with some up to about 2020. Not everything has a clean cancel, but conservatively 50% do, with strength from Western Canada, but there is something from almost everywhere. Tens of thousands of stamps. There should be some better individual stamps, but most of the appeal lies in the hand cancels, either for the cancel collector or for the collector looking for striking examples to improve the look of their used Canadian collection. Estimate = $300.00
History

99
Canada Cancels - Balance of an Elizabethan cancel hoard on covers, piece and stamp, enough to fill a banker’s box. The covers are primarily in two groups. a handful of #10 covers with Alberta cancels from the late 1950’s and then a batch of odd-sized commercial mail cancelled across the country with lots of hand cancels circa.2010. The stamps and pieces includes a seemingly random assortment on about 1500 "102" cards - many like-new with no markings, each with a single stamp with a readable cancel. The lot also has an old cigar box and a small plastic tub with an assortment of more cancelled stamps from all over. A few hundred covers, and a few thousand cancelled stamps. Offered as received. Estimate = $180.00
History

Canada Cancels - Banker’s box with "on and off" paper mini-hoard of used 1967-1980 stamps, with strength in the Centennial issue, which was the start of a cancel and paper-type study. Some are on pages, some are in three older stockbooks crammed with stamps. Yet more are loose in a pair of envelope boxes. Noted a good mix of machine and hand cancels. Strength is in Alberta cancels. Untouched since it was piled together over 40 years ago. Thousands of stamps. Estimate = $180.00

Lots of better CDS postmarks here, with the majority being dated examples. An excellent opportunity for future study. Mostly eastern Canadian towns / cities, with a few pages of "corks" or other postmarks included as well.
